I bought mine first thing yesterday morning. I LOVE IT!! I recently lost 30 lbs through diet alone and am totally motivated to lose even more (another 40 pounds) and thought this would be a great way to get in shape AND lose more weight. I was right! In only ONE day I have already improved my balance, yoga moves, and strength. I notice, after just two full 45-minute workouts with it, that I am far more conscious of my posture and my balance. The balance games are really fun, but I especially love the aerobic games (and I have always hated ANY and ALL types of aerobics before). It is challenging enough to make me full-on sweat after 45 minutes. The few cons are that you cannot create specialized workouts (it's a little annoying flipping from one to another in between exercises), and the pad is WHITE and has already gotten dirty with my bare feet (which weren't exactly dirty, but I have wood floors). A con that I could SEE being an issue but haven't yet experienced it is that you cannot jump on the board. I have no reason to jump on it, but I can see over-excited little children getting a little too into it and breaking the board (again, I haven't experienced this, so it might be stronger than I think - I don't want to test it out!) I would also recommend putting a yoga mat under it, as some of the exercises require you to lie or kneel on the floor and it can be painful without a mat. I don't know if I would recommend this to someone who is already a fitness buff, they may be bored with it, but I find it extremely fun and beneficial. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could! I totally look forward to new games to come out for the balance board!!
Well done

Although you won't get a gym-style heavy workout, you can do a surprising amount of exercises with the Wii Fit. One thing you will only get through the Wii Fit is instant feedback on your center of balance, which is very useful.
If you are a hard-core workout addict, the Wii Fit isn't for you. But it offers something for almost everyone else. (The one drawback is that it is hard to operate while smoking.)
Wii Fit is Wonderful!

I love this thing. My husband, who hates video games, is getting a kick out of it. Our son loves the balance games. I am not to certain that the BMI scale is accurate for all people, especially for children. Go out and buy it.
FUN for all while working out too

The Wii Fitness game is lots of fun and helps you work up a sweat if you do it long enough. If you are advanced in your workouts this won't do much more for you other than to have fun and keep up your fitness... If you are bored and looking to lose weight or tone up this would certainly help. It calculates your BMI and allows to you set a weight loss goal and track your time spent on the Wii Fitness. It also allows you to work on your posture by teaching you where your center of gravity is and where it should be.. My son who is 5, myself (34) and my husband (37) all had a blast with it. The only drawback we found is that the first time it "weighed" us it was off by upwards of 40 lbs... Then when we got back on it asked us why our weight was so different ? Other than that it is great. You can also use the Wii board for the skiing game and I am sure there will be others too.. It is FUN FUN FUN and keeps your workout intertesting.
Excellent gift for the Family

What a surprise. This was supposed to be a fun way for my wife to stay in shape, now everyone in the family is using it. It is alot of fun and you actually feel like your losing weight, and playing, at the same time.
Great introduction to various fitness activities

I have had my Wii Fit since Wed and really enjoy it. For someone like me, who is fairly active with running but who has not really tried Yoga or strength training this is a great introduction to those disciplines.
It is in a fun packagage and I like the way it will track my weight and help me stay motivated with weight loss goals. The games are fun and the workouts challenging and enjoyable (love the Hula Hoop game!)
One downfall is each activity has to be clicked on then exited before doing another one. I would much rather see the option to create a full 20 min yoga work out (for example rather) than having to click and select each pose. Others have pointed out this flaw and I think its the major error in the design. Other wise I love this and have had a lot of fun using it over the past few days.
Good luck!
Great fun

Don't be discouraged about your weight anymore. This is great fun. ESPECIALLY IF YOU LIKE YOGA-TYPE training, but need help. Deceptively helpful, you don't realize how hard you've worked out until a week has gon by and you are actually stronger and more toned! If you can find one, get it!
Wonderful game

I was one of the first people on our block to own a Wii system. I loved the Wii sports that came with the system. Since then, I have purchased several titles and have been disappointed each time.. exception is guitar hero that came out. But this Wii fit has taken the cake. I really like this game.
Now, I have only owned Wii fit for several hours when I wrote this report, but here it goes.
The Wii Fit board requires little to no time to put together. The board runs on 4 AA batteries (included), place CD is Wii, press sync button and you are on your way. Quick note... If you weigh over 330 pounds than you will have to be sneaky to get the system to work for you..
My biggest dislike is tyga part of Wii fit. I am not a limber person, and some of the poses are impossible to do for me.
Most of the exercises do not last long enough for your heart rate to reach 80% and stay there so rather or not the Wii fit will really make ya loose weight is up in the air, but the step aerobics are really cool.
Some improvements that I would make in the game would be to let the user setthe amount of time/distance or just use the default. Also, like on the run, a have Mii characters that you are competing agianst.
Don't get me wrong, this is a great device and I am glad that I spent the money on it. This is a great piece of technology and i hope it helps to keep people in better shape, people lke me.
Where's the action?

I bought this item expecting an amazing and innovative title, but was sadly disappointed.
There's no storyline. And the worst thing is that it completely lacks action. Not once was I allowed to shoot anyone or slash with a sword.
This title is all talk no action.
The kids grew so bored with it that they hit their cousin with the board.
I honestly can't recommend this to anyone.
