Wii fit is genious. People complain about it's pitfalls, but really there isn't anything out there like it. So they're making a step in the right direction. Perhaps a bit pricey, but if you use it continually, it's worth the money. It's a new way to motivate you to get off the couch and simply move. For people like me, who can't always be bothered with going to the gym after work, this is a nice alternative. Lets me work up a good sweat in the comfort of my living room. My fave activities are the yoga ones. For someone like me who has never taken a yoga class, it's a nice introduction. It's worth the retail price, but IMO not worth the jacked-up online prices I'm seeing for it now. I was fortunate enough to nab one from a local retailer. For those still searching for one, I'd say wait and see if you can find it in stores for retail price. But anything above that just isn't worth it. JMO.
Great but not perfect

Wii Fit is one of the best game from WII system. Although is a single player game but it's very entertaining in the party with friends and family.
The only drawback about the game is lack of customization. For instance, you have program your own training to match your specific needs.
Regardless, it's the best 90 dollar I've ever spent.
not sure if it will stand the test of time

i'm not sure the wii fit is considered fun, but it provides something that is new and different. the concept of making one more pysically fit through a video game is a noble concept. i am not sure that gaming will embrace this tool. it is new and different though.

It makes you aware of your posture and how easily you naturally lean towards one side. Fun games, some harder than you think which keeps you engaged if you're competitive.
I like it!

The Wii Fit is great for me! I don't exercise very much right now, and the games are engaging enough to make me want to do them. I especially like the way it keeps track of your actual workout minutes so you can be sure to get the recommended 30 minutes a day.
A lot of fun, but not a

I love that you have to get credits to unlock other games, and I know that I'm going to use it every day to measure my weight and BMI, but it's not much of a workout. Many of the exercises (I don't have access to everything yet) that I can do are too short to really raise my heart-rate or work-up a sweat. Also, on some the directions are almost non-existent. As a result my Wii Fit age is high, because you can't do well on a test, when you don't understand what you're being measured to do.
110% recommend buying the silicon skin! After one day mine started getting dirty, and the cover is a bargain at $[...]. Another good accessory is the re-chargeable battery pack.
I can't wait to see if more game discs will be coming out. A good start, but needs more to be great.
Almost Perfect

Pros:
- Really fun and a really different way of playing games (Soccer Goalie, Snow Boarding, Skiing, Yoga, Pushups, and the list goes on)
- Batteries seem to last much longer than for Wiimotes
- Good workouts, they make most people break a sweat; not to mention they encourage people to work out with weight goals and so on
Cons:
- even though WiiFit considers me of ideal weight, I still feel that how WiiFit (the game) determines your ideal weight is really flawed. BMI (determining if you're fat by just height and weight) is really antiquated and near useless. It doesn't measure how much fat you really have, therefore it doesn't account for muscle mass. Consequently it may mistaken a really fit person for being 'overweight'
Having fun with exercise? Who would have thought?

OK, I work in an office environment and look like it. I'm not good a video games, and I come home too tired to work out after work. I would not have thought that this would be a good fit for me. (Get it - FIT? Sorry - that was a little lame, but I couldn't help it.)
But it fits just fine! This isn't exercise - it's play! I get a little sweaty, but I end up more relaxed at the end of it. There are a whole lot of different things to do. I like the yoga and the step. I'm not good a the strength training, but I'm working on it. I love the balance games, especially the downhill skiing and jumping. My husband plays as well, and I'm actually ahead of him on a couple of things.
Just so you know, you pick out your little Mii, and then you get on the balance board and it weighs you. If you're a little chubby (like me) your Mii also gets a little chubby. I'm hoping my Mii slims down. And gets younger. The balance board takes into account your balance, weight, and age and gives you a Mii age. So far, my Mii is 5 years younger than I am. Good little Mii.
This is my favorite of the Wii "games". We also have the Wii Ski, which my husband loves. I haven't played it yet, but it looks like fun. Nintendo needs to put out some more games for the balance board. Skateboarding anyone? Water skiing?

I have been using Wii Fit now for almost a month and have used it every day and it is so addictive and I feel it's very healthy, too! I would highly recommend the Wii Fit for anyone who is health-conscious and wants to improve their physical condition.

I am retired and bought the Wii Fit for exercise and it is great. My greatest concern was that it would become old hat after awhile, I would get bored with it and stop using it but that hasn't happened. It has a yoga program, a strength training program, balance exercises/games, and aerobic workouts. There is a variety in each of these so you can alternate your routine to keep it interesting and you're bound to find some options in each segment that you really enjoy.
