An excellent action game, its nearly endless list of multiplayer options, 120 playable characters, and smooth, cartoonish feel add a refreshing twist to the shooter genre.
It improves on Timeplitters 1, a good game in its own right, on many levels. Its singleplayer experience has been extended 1000%, with dynamic story missions and tons of challenges. There's tons of cool stuff to unlock. The game is extra smooth and lightning fast, no framerate drops to be had. It boasts one of the most complete first-person shooter packages to date, it is easily the best console shooter yet. My only complaint is the Map Editor is still quite limited, with few improvements over TS1, most especially lack of extra space for bigger levels.
It has the timesplitters feel with a throwback to the old Goldeneye days on N64. There's no better game this year for frantic gunslinging mayhem.
Fun game

This is a great game. Its a lot like goldeneye for nintendo 64. The singleplayer action is great. I really like the multiplayer because you can control every aspect of the game. You can control the guns, level, character, bots. You can play the computer in multiplayer with up to 10 more computer players (bots). Some of the bots are good, some [bad]. There is also a lot of weapon choices that you can choose from every time period. Its a great game for anyone.
Great game! Like golden eye

I played the xbox demo of this game. It was very entertaining. Reminded me of golden eye for N64. The variety of weapons was great. If you ever played golden eye and loved it then get this game. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because the aiming was a little difficult. Hopefully they will have the worked out with the final release of the game.

You can compare this to Halo because multiplayer is better. The graphics aren't the best because they're arcady. The single player game is average but multiplayer is fun because the action is so fast. In Halo can you throw or fire 15 grenades in 8 secs, no because Halo doesn't have secondary fire on weapons and the game is quite slow.
In multiplayer the funnist mode is virus where there are 10 bots and 1 of them tries to get the rest and your self. There's a wide selection of guns like different pistols, machine guns, crossbows, sniper rifels, bricks, timed mines and a flame thrower.
PROS
Multiplayer is fantastic
Controling is perfect
Lots of weapons/game modes
Arcade league/challenge
CONS
Graphics are far from perfect
Single Player is average
Buy it because there's loads to do to keep you busy.
MULTIPLAYER MADNESS THATS BETTER THAN HALO'S

No the story mode is not up to par with other games of its type but that is not the reason you would buy this game. The heart and soul of this game lies in the multiplayer. If you can get some friends together to play this game with you than you will not be sorry but this. I would even go as far as to say that you will have more fun in the multiplayer mode in Timesplitters 2 than you would in Halo. It's that good. The Arcade League and Challenge mode serve as a good single player distraction but it will not blow you away. The story mode is most certainly fun but there is no real story to tie the levels together. If you want some crazy fun multiplayer action and you have friends to play it with than I wholeheartedly reccomend this game to you.
only good on multiplayer

I rented this awesome game at a friend's house and we both loved it! The graphics are beautiful and the gameplay is great. I would reccomend this game to anyone 11 or older. It's kinda violent, but I have the stomach to play gory games. This game doesn't have any blood in it.
The muliplayer action is great. There are mini-games like deathmatch and capture the bag. This game is a must-have for anybody.
Pros:Fun levels
Muliplayer Mode is great
Cool charactars
Idea of time travel is cool
Smooth controls
Cons:Short levels
Only nine levels
bad game

why would someone compare this to halo? this is one of the worst games ive played in years. graphics are horrible. the textures and bland colors are so ugly. this game makes a joke of the xboxes power. bland flat textures a total lack of color and poor action seqeunces. combine to make this one of the ugliest looking xbox games to date. the game has no story at all. it abruptly cuts to the game. the actaul gameplay is weak. you just go around shooting. theres no stealth cativating combat nothing like that. you just walk up and shoot. this is the easiest fps ive ever played. enemies hardly fight back. they just stay there and allow bullets to bounce off there body. until you kill them. whereas halo succeded with great artifical intelligence this game fails painfully. little tiny claustrophobic sised areas provide little to no exploration. for instance youre in a level. and you fight a few brain dead bad guys and before you know it youre at the end of a level. whereas halo had gigantic levels that took like 40 minutes to cross. the controls are also quite awful. when you walk up to a bad guy. youre hardly even facing him. this causes you to die and go back to the beginning of a level repeadatly. overall ts2 with the ugly graphics empty feeling story claustrophobic sised areas and terrible gameplay and camera is better left as a rental. there are plenty of better fps out there. halo hitman 2 max payne even turok is better. i dont see why people even say this game is like halo. beleive this game is bad. its 100 percent hype. my suggestion get halo then wait for halo 2. ive already beaten halo like 100 times. but i rather play it for the 101th time. than bother with this sorry awful train wreck of a game once more.
Great Multiplayer but Story Mode isn't Very Good

Time Splitters 2 has an awesome multiplayer allowing you to play many different types of games. A cool feature is that you can set computer controlled bots to be on or against your team so you can even be on the same team as your friends. You can also go into multiplayer by yourself and just battle against the bots.
The story mode isn't that great because it seems to be pointless wandering. Even in Co-op mode is still just boring.
Overall I would get this game because of its awesome multiplayer modes. Although the story isn't great the multiplayer is awesome and you can still have a lot of fun beating the challenges and earning new characters.

I'm new to gaming and wouldn't want to be too critical of all the hard work that goes into the design of a game, all I can speak to is my experience of playing it. I was excited to get the game based on reviews. Initially, I was graphically impressed and then I go to shoot my first victim and the gun's target viewer won't stay stable!! I was so frustrated trying to aim that I would get blasted over and over, never feeling confident or relaxed enough to enjoy the game. When I would make serious progress, I'd get shot and have to start a the very beginning of that level...I was in Hell! I asked an experienced gamer what he thought of my concern and he (one who loves to argue)agreed that the unstable gun was a distracting part of this game. It just wasn't fun for me. Took it back got Halo and felt like I went from loser to Lord. I'm not comparing it to Halo but they are both called First Person Shooters and well, Halo felt like I was the star of a Sci-Fi Movie. Sheer gaming fun! Not the case with Time-Splitters.
