This really is an excellent game. The solo missions are well thought out and the objectives and the flow of the level change according to the difficulty level. Dont play the game on easy then on hard expecting it to be the same, Its not! It keeps you coming back for more each time. The music is good too, its kind of catchy and they go with the levels perfectly. Multiplayer is the best. There are so many options, and tons of things to do, it will take a while for you to get tired of it. The bad thing is, you have to actually play the levels and do the challenges to unlock all the cool options. But its worth it! One bad thing is the aiming system though, its very jerky, especially the sniper rifle. The sniper is utterly useless in the fast paced multiplayer environment. The custom map creator is a plus too! You can actually design your own maps for multiplayer. The game really doesnt take advantage of the Xbox hardware with graphics or anything, but the gameplay makes up for it. I would definitly give this game a 9/10.

This is one of the best games on the market. If you go from Halo to this the controls can be disorienting at first, but once mastered, you'll find the game to be an extremely satisfying experience.
Eidos has done a fantastic job of exploiting the power of the Xbox. The framerate blazes and I can't remember one instance of slowdown. The character models are not elegant like Halo but they are stylish, varied, and interesting--combine that with beautiful backgrounds and music and this one really sucks you in. Two player is crisp and clear.
All in all, it's hard to find fault with TS2. Be prepared to really master your skills if you want to unlock everything though--challenge mode is really tough.
great multiplayer...campaign though?

this multiplayer is awesome - awesome guns, 100 characters to play as, bots, you can choose how many bots and what each of them are and you can configure exactly which guns to use. system link play is available. map creater is a nice feature. you can play as monkeys. all the typical game settings for a first-person shooter. juggernaught, capture the flag, teams, deathmatch ect is all there. great built in maps. you can play as a monkey and monkeys are cool. you can play as monkeys.
but the campaign...well it .... it is fun but the saving blows. you get checkpoints that are very very spaced out so if you die you get to start all over...coop does not supply you with enought ammo. just not cool. there are mini 1-player missions that are entertaining though. like a mission where you have a brick and you have to break all the windows in an area and stuff like that.

The aiming is ... in this game, and the lack of a jump button really [stinks]. There are a lot of extras which make replay pretty special..i.e..Deathmatch, amount of characters, and arenas. Story mode is really horrible though..the level design is uninspired... and the AI is worthless. I just think I've played a bit to much Halo, a man's game with skull cracking pistol-whipping, grenade chucking fury. If you buy a FPS get unreal..it's dope..TS2 is kinda [weak]..and I cry everytime I realize the box lied to me..with all those promises of greatness.
Awesome, Must have

This game is a must have for xbox. The game play is solid, the graphics are even better. They have loads of guns(including a flamethrower). The aiming is a little off but does not hinder game play.
That JAMES BOND game only wishes it could be this good!

*From the XBox DEMO* I didn't even know this was coming out until the DEMO. It's a '1st person' shooter, 'James Bond' style action game. This game looks every bit as good as Halo(if not better) and plays 10 times better than that ... James Bond game. While the enemies may seem to be a little easy to kill(at first) and not all that good at hearing the DEMO level continued to get more and more interesting and very fun to play. There was never any SLOW-DOWN and at times there is 3,4 and more and more enemies at once(Halo seems to have too much slow down for my liking/too choppy at times. Don't get me wrong, HALO still rules as far as '1st person' games go. BUT NOT FOR LONG!). I hope this entire game will have the same intensity level and quality as the DEMO. I really liked the A.I. of the enemies and there motions were very smooth and realistic looking(a major plus!) There are several objectives in the level and it made for a very interesting mission. As for a DEMO, I found myself playing it over and over to where I now have that one part mastered. The replay value is high because every time I did something different it changed the A.I. behavior. (NOTE TO ANY GAME DESIGNER: Sniper rifles RULE! They RULE! RULE! RULE!). I CANNOT wait for this game to come out on the XBox(I own a PS2 also and I am sure the graphics will not come close to the XBox's awesome graphics. Get the XBox if you want the best graphics! I've tried every '1st person' game on PS2 and NONE of them even come close to HALO, Mace Griffen:Bounty Hunter or TIME SPLITTERS 2). 'TIME SPLITTERS 2'(XBox) is a MUST-BUY for any '1st person' shooter fan.
Best first person shooter ever!!!

People don't give this game enough credit. It's totally fun and doesnt take itself seriously like "Serious Sam" or "Duke Nukem". It's a good time blasting away s#!t and it's probably like fifteen bucks now so why not?
Good as a multiplayer...

This game may be good as a multiplayer but as a one-player game, it isn't anything special. The aiming is terrible and the jerky camera movements are the worst. The graphics seem cartoonish and not really appropriate for this type of game. The story line is lame to say the least but the fact that you get to travel through time is interesting...too bad you will probably die in the first few minutes of a level since you have to be so precise with the aiming. Rent first before you buy. I'm glad I did.
