Spider-Man not as good as I thought

When i first rented the game, i couldn't get my hands off of the controller and my cousin wanted to play but i would not let him.. Later, i played it again, but i kept on losing and repeating the level.. It got really boring after that.. Even with the cheat codes it still was boring... The camera angle is the worst ive ever seen.. It messed me up most of the time.. The graphics are great, but the levels are too dumb, a lot of the stuff didnt even happen in the movie! The gameplay was not bad, it was confusing with all the different controls.. Level 8 or 7, im not sure, you have to climb Vultures Tower, how could you possibly win? He keeps throwing bombs and stuff at you.. I could not beat it.. I had to use cheat codes to get past it... I got to the point where i didnt play it for a while.. When I played it, i played for 1 hr.. Thats all.. Before i had played for 5 hrs.. Im bored with it now... Heres a tip, dont waste your money on this game, rent it first.. If you have a different opinion than mine, than buy at your own risk.. Thank you

Wow, this game really rocked! Yeah, it took a little while to get used to it, but it's still one of the best I've ever played: good story, great graphics, and awesome gameplay! Spider-Man was even funnier than ever and the villains were okay also( but my vote for best villains still goes to the original game "Spider-Man" for the PS1). There are a few villains returning from the other 2 games along with some new ones(although this game is technically a prequel to the PS1 games). Meaning, this is the first time Spider-Man meets the villains presented in this game. The old favorites Shocker and Scorpion have returned and the new ones are the Vulture and(ofcourse) the Green Goblin. The voice acting in this game was great and the levels were incredibly realistic and lifelike. One of the coolest (and hardest) levels in the game is when Spider-Man goes to Oscorp and fights their ultimate weapon: the Super Mech! This robot was beyond huge! It was at least twice the size of a Gundam mobile suit! And the fact that Spider-Man was able to beat it all by himself shows just how much of a badass Spider-Man really is!

This game also brings something new that didn't appear in the other games: aerial combat! You have to fight a lot of aerial battles against the Light Mechs(Hunter Killers), the Vulture, and, the toughtest one of them all, the Green Goblin. All Spider-Man fans MUST get this game. Trust me, you won't regret it.

All I can say is, this game has alot of potential. The graphics aren't bad, but they won't win any awards. The gameplay when swinging through the cities is exciting but when Spidey hits the indor levels he gets "less manueverable". The camera angle can sometimes greatly affect the gameplay. Sound is ok, with Tobey Maguire voicing spiderman and william dafoe voicing the green goblin. Even though they have the movie actors for the voices, they sound like they aren't even trying. The game closely follows the movie, and it could use some more outdoor levels. As a matter of fact, the entire game should be outdoors. The fact is I enjoyed spiderman while it lasted, but it needs more umph. I'd say the next game (if they fix the flaws in this one)will blow off the roof.

This is without a doubt the best Spidey game ever. I played the first two on the PSone but they were missing something,different combos. This game has a whole bunch of fighting combos to use against enemies like Scorpion, Shocker, and of course the Green Goblin. The game is short though, but the cool thing is you get to unlock new costumes and extra game modes like bowling. So if you are a Spidey fan, get this game!!!

Spider-Man is a really awesome game with only one flaw in its design. THE GAME IS TOO SHORT. You could beat it in 4 hours and after you've beaten it a few times, it gets really boring and you don't want to play it anymore. But overall the game is great. The graphics are awesome and the movement space is really cool. The areial acrobatics are a very neat feature in the game and the fully interactive enviornment is just amazing.
Overall: an excellent job

This game is one of the best games for ps2. I haven't completely beaten the game yet but all of the levels that i have done are great. In the game, u get to fight Uncle Ben's murdurer,Shocker,Vulture,the scorpion,and the infamous green goblin. Although the game is shorter than one would expect, there is great replay value. Things to unlock and great cheat options to play as many different characters.There are four different difficulties: easy,normal,hero, and superhero. This game has both adventure, fighting, and strategy. Before i got this game i wasn't much of a spider~man fan, but when my brother bought it to my surprise i became a big spider~man fan.
This game has very good graphics but some of the interior levels could have been done a little better but all in all they are good. In some of the later levels u have to use stealth but in some areas u should use all out battle tactics.
The sound in this game has no music but the characters talk. They say the same things over and over so it can get a little annoying but not really that bad.
Rent or buy: For those of u diehard spiderman fans this is definitly a buy, but for others u might want to rent it first.

overall, this is a great game!! If you like spiderman, definitely get it. Its kind of challenging. But there are tons of extra features, including lots of codes that range from playing with the Green Goblin to having infinite web damage. Also there are comic strips and things that go into the game. The graphics are good, they do it nicely and they look even better when spidey gets his REAL costume. The camera was prett good, even when i was web-swinging all around the city it followed me so i didnt get confused where i was. The gameplay is good, though just a teeny bit difficult in the upcoming levels, you'll have to use all of the moves you learned to a full advantage, i strongly recommend you playing the somewhat funny tutorial, which teaches you the basic moves. also you can unlock extra things like mini games, like pinball bowling. ALl in all this is a great game, and definitely a must for spidey-lovers. The voice acting is done pretty good, i generaly couldnt tell the difference and im not sure if its really tobey or not but it sounds damn like him.

This game overall is one of my favorites. It really deserves 4 and a half stars. But one of the things is a lot of the things in the game don't happen in the movie. This is not a problem for me and probably for most. In the game you not only fight the Green Goblin but the Shocker, Vulture, and Scorpion, with the addition of Uncle Ben's killer (who really isn't a supervillian). Another nice thing about this game is the combat, which can also be a hassle at times. In the game you get WAY more moves than in the previous games. In the beggining you don't get many awesome combo moves, but as you progress through the game your moves get more interesting. Another nice thing is the graphics. At times you'll just want stand and look at the buildings which reflect the other things outside and the designs on Spiderman's or Goblin's outfit.This games bosses are challenging and willmake you want to fight them again. Buy this game.

a great game except for spiderman's "pause" after he gets touched or shot, making it hard for a superhero to take out simple thugs......surely spidey should be tougher to bring down.
great swinging graphics, would have loved to go ground level in city sections.also spidey sense should kick in during all dangers unseen.
it is also hard to sneak up as soon as you hit someone, everyone around comes running, but i guess a more powerful spider man would not care. love the wise cracks, keeps true to the marvel character. well hopefully the "bugs" we'll be worked before my game comes out. peace

I liked the game for the most part but I got so irritated with the controls and the camera angles in the game that i just eventually gave up on it. I was getting into it but I would just get to frustrated. Ex: If you are pushing right to run with a side view and the view changes to behind, you would expect to rotate the control to forward to keep going straight (like in Mario 64) but doing that will cause you to run right until you let go and push forward again. This is majorilly irritating when being ganged up on by multiple people. The camera angle will almost never stay constant even when locked on and you just lose control of everything. I also wish you could be more sneeky and spider-like attacking villians. Once you hit someone, everyone in the area will come running. Also, give the villians a few more things to say or make them talk less. I REALLY wanted to like the game but had to many bugs. The Movie was great but the game needed a little more work
