This game is so cool. I don't own it just to let you know. I rented it. But, ever since i heard about this game and saw some screen shots, i wanted this game. It may be a little short, but that doesnt matter. The best thing about this game are the graphics, story, and the web swinging. I'm a HUGE spider man fan, know everything you could know. Any old spidey fan has at least one wish... to have one of spideys powers. Web swinging on this game gives you the FEEL of flying through NYC! Doing flips in the air and then snagging a web line! TOTALLY RADICAL! Buy or rent or at least PLAY this game. If you get any game this year, get this one.

No other video game I've played conveys the sense of playing the character in question than this game. You get to swing wildly from rooftops, jump off of people's heads, throw full-sized vans, the works. If Spider-Man can do it in the comic, you can do it in this game. My only complaint would be that the game is rather short, but the amount of depth in each level and the amazing variety of moves Spidey can do will probably have you coming back for a while to explore the nuances of the game.

Spiderman the movie game is a good game but it could be alot better. The graphics are quite good but badguys faces look a bit flat. It's movie graphics are sweet though. You have a wide range of moves which are really neat and you get moves by collecting golden spiders. The game follows the movie plot apart from some parts are taken out like the car chase scene which I think would be really cool to play and the warehouse, suddenly the crook has a whole army to help him out. It's good how they lengthened the game with badguys like Shocker and Vulture but the game could be much better.

This game features alot of action and Adventure. I like to play the bowling game. Oh but you can't play it until you get enough points. You earn points by beating levels. The first villin you battle is the murderer, the one that killed uncle Ben. The secend one is Shocker, third Scorpion, fourth Vulture and fith The green Gobblin. I have to admit the green Gobblin is pretty hard to beat all the times you play it. But all the others get easier and easier every time you play it take it from me you really should get it!!

This is one of the greatest games on the planet. Graphics 10, game play 10, story 10, and fun 10. I just love this game. When I got this game I thought it would be O.K. beacause I had never rented, borowed, or even played the game befor. So I bought the game with my Christmas money and I loved it. SO GET IT OR YOU WILL REGRET IT BUY IT NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only problem in this game is that after you beat it its boaring! It's defenetly good for a rental though. I beat it in about 3 hours with no cheats. The one on N64 is fun to. If you liked that one youll probably like it. And the gamecube version has better story lines and graphics.

This game is cool for awhile if you like to swing around the city and save people but the graphics are a little crappy and you do the same bull over and over again like save people and hear people scream spiderman help me over and over again. Gets old fast but if your die hard spider dork you need to buy this but if your an average gamer like myself you might want to rent this for a couple days.

Better than most Movie to video game adaptations

In some ways the game lacks in something. But first lets say that the game follows the movie and doesnt follow the movie. So in my opinion think that the game ISN'T supposed to be an adaptation of the game.

On the positive side the graphics were amazing! The gameplay and everything is just amazing! The great thing that made this good was that you got a lot of freedom. You could roam around and the control scheme is very simple and easy to learn. You can do just about anything that spiderman did in the movie and in the T.V. show as well.

As I said the game gives a lot of exploration and that means that when in the city you can literally go just about anywhere you want. If you get lost there is a compass in the center. The game is also chock full of secrets and that gives it a ton of replay value. The game also has a basic training section in there that will help new comers.

On the Negative side the game is shorter than what we mostly see today, but is more than made up for in replay value. The game is also frusrating at times and doesn't always stay true to the movie. I mean when did he fight the Vulture, Shocker, or the Scorpion in the movie? The game clearly says "SPIDER MAN THE MOVIE". Also, it would've been nice to play those secret levels that were included in the XBOX version of the game.

Wild Ride

I am an avid Spider-Man fan so when the movie came out I was first in line to see it and when the game came out, I had to buy it the day it was released. I was not disappionted. Spider-Man is a fast paced, action based thrill ride, that consists of levels that deal with the movie, and then levels that deal without it. Although I thought the game was short, and fairly easy to play, it was still a lot of fun. Learning all of Spidey's combos takes time and practice, the grpahics are good, as is the sound and scenery in which Spider-Man flys throw the air. The game was a good mixture of land and air battles, and took advantage of Spider-Man's spider abilities. Overall, Spider-Man for the PS2, is an excellent game, that will be enjoyed by whomever plays it.
