This game seems unfinished. The graphics are terrible, the sound is forgettable, the gameplay is slow, the controls are clunky, the camera is horrid and the game is boring.
Spend your fifty dollars on something better.

I know this isn't out till june 7th in UK but I just had to say something about this game (which will undoubtably be the best game of all time). Screenshots so far look amazing and really show of the PS2's graphical capabilities. The sense of freedom when your web-slinging around New York will be great especially when your battling the ggoblin. Not sure if u can go down to street level (proberly wont be able to) but that shouldn't take anything away from the gameplay.
EVERYONE should buy this game, EVERYONE:)

This game looks awesome! The fighting, the storyline, the graphics, all look great. This game will be one of the best games on the Playstation2 (behind FFX, of course.)

...the repetitiveness. In each particular level of the game you have to fight at LEAST 5 bad guys. Sometimes 7, sometimes 10 with more trickling in after you beat them. After going thru 3 levels of the same thing you may find yourself yawning a little. The graphics are awesome. My favorite part of the game is swinging out in the open air from building to building. Controls are pretty good except for the fact that you may begin crawling in the wrong direction...A LOT and have to manuveur both the camera and Spidey to get him back on the right track. The extras are cool. Bottom line, it's a must have. Won't be leaving my library...that's for sure. Can't wait to get the book.

I think that Spider-Man is easily one of the top games for the PS2. I especially like the detail of the city when you are web-swinging because it is relatively easy to spot people on rooftops when you are swinging through the city. I also like how the game offers a good challenge without being impossible. However, the aerial combat portions of the game can get kind of disorienting, but that adds to the realism. Tip: the camera-lock mode is really helpful during situations with numerous enemies. Overall, I think that this game ranks right up there with Grand Theft Auto 3 as one of the best on PS2.

I want to say this game is good, but unrealistic but i cant. first of all what does your web catch on to? sky? and (it might just be my TV) you cant see everything its so dark at some places. When you get stuck on somthing its really REALLY boring. I couldnt take this game over a week before i ditched it. I didn't even find fighting enemies with HUGE heads to fun. But when your the Green Goblin with a machine gun razor blades that freaking kill EVERYTHING it gets kinda fun i admit. I cant say its HORRIBLE but i cant say its good... If you get bored when your stuck get away from this game!!!

Man this game is just spectacular (no pun intended). The way they have Spider-Man move in this game is just so......great. I was speechless when I played this game for the first time. The combos are great and my favorite levels are the ones where you are swinging out in the wide open in the city. The costume design was on point, the FMV's are great, especially the opening one, that's the best one. A lot of reviews mention how the camera angle is not so good, if you've played the other two Spider-Man Games then you should expect the same kind of camera movement. You'll get use to it and you'll master moving Spidey in one direction with having to wait for the camera angle to change. My favorite webswing feature in this game is the Webswing kick, that's hot. Oh and when fighting the Goblin you can land on his glider with him and beat the snot out of the side of his head. All in all this game is a must-have, Spider-Man rulz all. Get it while it's hot!!!

this game rocks! this spiderman game is way better than the others.the villains are greengoblin,shocker,vulture,scopion,and the guy who killed spidermans uncle.spiderman can now do better moves than the 1st or 2nd one.the hardest battles would probaly be the spropion and greengoblin. this game rocks!!!!!!

This is a pretty good Spiderman game let me name some good and bad parts bout this game.

It goes beyond the movie
pretty decent graphics
fly around
pretty long playing time
The Bad
You cant go all over New York
The storyline was kinda like the movie, but should of been more
if u go down to low when flying u end up falling down and restarting the level.
