If you've ever wanted to be a super hero...

This game is great fun. It truly enables you to have the freedom that a game about a super hero should have. The graphics are excellent and give a true feeling of being on top of giant skyscrapers. The action is exciting, especially when you use your web powers to kick... I recommend this game for kids of all ages!

I have played the original PS1 version and was very impressed with it.

The PS2 version reuses the same formula but improves on it both in terms of the interface, visuals, and Spidey's abilities.

Only 1 word can describe what it's like swinging from building to building, "absolutely exhilarating!"

The training levels are actually worth playing. There is sufficient humor and sarcasm in them to keep it interesting. Furthermore if you decided to ignore the training level, that's ok, the game will give you hints along the way.

Wonderful, but short.

The graphics and playability of this game make it worth purchasing, but the length is the only downfall. Now, take that comment with a granule of Sodium Chloride because I only beat it on the easy level. I plan on replaying it on a harder level in a few months. But all in all, the game is one of the jewels in the PS2 crown. Get it!

This game isn't that difficult at all but the graphics are definitely outstanding. Seems to follow the movie pretty well, also. This is definitely not one to buy. I recommend you just rent it.

This game is a very decent title. Using your web, diving through the cities, and everything is very cool. The one thing I think the game lacked on was the fact that the levels weren't that long, and the storyline wasn't original, since it was based on the movie. I think Batman Vengeance totally dominanated this game with storyline, gameplay, and graphics. The one thing Spider-Man beats it on is replay value. If you're looking for a good, clean, adventure game, go for this title.

Patient:Doctor,I feel enclosed in many levels.The first was okay with the free swinging action,but then,there was no room to fight,NO ROOM TO FIGHT!!!(sob)Peter would say things over and over again!I couldn't take it anymore!He wouldn't shutup!That is why I did it.That's right I broke the disk and I'm PROUD,PROUD, PROUD,PROUD.I WOULD DO IT AGAIN TOO! Gameplay is disgraceful. Hard to control the character and plot of the game is just stupid.

OK here is the deal ladies and gents. BUY THIS GAME!!! you cannot lose. It was released yesterday and I played until my alarm went off this morning. I haven't pulled an all nighter with a game since I was about 10(legend of zelda). Anyhow gameplay is intense, Webbing everything in sight is cool the story is cool, the characters are straight from the actual movie, and you really are free to do anything go anywhere and I just cannot say enough.

BRAVO!!! Activision BRAVO!!!

The Itsy Bitsy Spider Returns

Spiderman is back, and this time his adventure will be based on the upcoming movie of Spiderman. If you plan on seeing the movie, you might want to skip the cutscenes in this because it would give away too much of the movie. Otherwise, this is a great action game. The graphics are a little blocky, and I don't see a big problem either,but I think they could've done a better job. The sound is ok, but when Spider-Man punches and kicks, it doesn't make much of a sound, and it feels kind of cheap.The game has some nice cutscenes,and they are very fun to watch. The game has decently long load times, about 10-12 seconds, but if you have plenty of patience, you wouldn't care. Spider-Man actually talks in the game, and even though its cool, it does get annoying to hear "buzz off creep" more than once. Overall, the presentation of the game is nice. There are cheats you can activate, and also you can get special gallery pictures for the game. Control in the game gets frustrating at times, and its probably due to the camera angles. The camera angles need constant care, but the thing that makes it even worse is that when you change the camera, the controls kind of get messed up, or reversed for a second. This is a very big problem and it should be fixed. The outdoor levels are usually more fun in this game, but all the levels are pretty fun. Overall, Spider-Man: The Movie is good for a fan of the Spider-Man series. Others, should just rent this and if you can't beat it before you return it, use the level skip cheat, its: ROMITAS.
