PLAY THIS GAME!

This is one of the best games out there. The graphics, the game play, and the over all sound and feel of the game are real. There are a million different tricks you can pull for points. You can create your own combos for even more points. Two player with split screen makes the game even more enjoyable for that late night after hours party entertainment. There are different game types to play in. H-O-R-S-E is one of the best. You pull a trick and the other person has to beat the points you made. You can pull tricks on 50' rails, to half pipes. Skate pools, to just strait insane jumps in a variety of different skate parks. You can even change the name from HORSE to something like BI**H. So, when you win, the screen will tell your opponent, "Player Two, You are a BI**H!". I could be more creative, but I'm sure they wouldn't post it. Anyway, things like this all throughout the game make it a 5 star game by far. I would give it 10 out of 5. Ahhhhh....So.....much.....fun.......

I recieved Tony Hawk Pro Skater for Xmas and have not stopped playing it since. It's one of the best and most addictive games I've ever played. Much better than Thrasher's game! You have TOTAL control over your skater. The athletes are real such as Tony himself and Bob Burnquist. There are real sponsors like Birdhouse and Vans on the game as well. There is also an AWESOME soundtrack with bands like Goldfinger and NOFX. Go get this game NOW!

Back in the day when I was younger, I use to skateboard every single day. I did it for many years. When I saw this game in a game store one day, I could not believe that they made a skateboarding game that actually looks real; I mean these types of games are hard to make them fun and realistic. I bought the game the minute that I got home, and I tell you, I felt that I did not want to go anywhere; I could not wait until I got home. This is probably the best game that I have played within this category of game. The graphics are incredible, the game play is amazing, and it is also challenging, so you will not beat it in a day. Usually after I beat any game that I play, I put it away and I do not play it anymore. But I beat the game a couple of times, and I am actually trying to do it with every single character. Buy the game; you will have so much fun!

Honostly people, this is the best game on Playstation today, and will most likely take ages to outclass. I first learned of this game from a review in a magazine, but I wasn't really into skateboarding, so I decided to let this one slide. Coincidentally, my cousin brought over his Dreamcast version, and one night later, I was off to buy this game at the nearest location possible. In this game, you play as one of 8 of the world's greatest pro skaters, as you compete in different levels and competitions. By doing different moves on your board (this is done by moving the left joystick in any direction, and pressing either square or circle or triangle - square does flips, circle does holds, and triangle does different grinds).In your skating adventures, you compete to win "tapes" which are used to unlock new boards, new levels, new characters, and competitions. To win the tapes, you've got to board your way like a pro through different levels, trying to destroy certain objects, beat high scores, spell the word SKATE, and by finding a hiddin tape (obviously hiddin in the level). It may sound kinda simple, it may sound complicated....but trust me, it's ALL GOOD! And even if you do manage to find someone who hates this game, who could hate the great tracks of music it features, from REAL bands? Okay, but here's where I'm gonna get picky. Sometimes while pulling off moves that you need to get you that top score, you'll fall over on some un-foreseen object, or you'll be goin for a quarter pipe, and a car will hit you (yes, there are cars!). But that's really gettin picky! The only other real draw back I can find is that it's too addictive! Trust me and buy this game!

I bought this game when it first came out , I dont even Skateboard but with this game I could talk about moves and tricks with pro skaters! This Game has great gameplay and provides great challenge levels . Plus you get 3 different special tricks by every skater , and Tony Hawk has 5 special moves for you to master. Awesome game! One of the years top 5!

This is a great game! The levels are BIG, and the conrol is easy to pick up. The only real problems with the game are these: 1. There is a Gameshark code that let's you disable the Dead Kennedys song. USE IT! All those great songs they put out, and someone chose the most annoying one to throw in the game. 2. The control lacks a certain finesse when you're in a tight spot, but nothing bad enough to make you want to bounce the controller of the TV.

There is so much to do in this game that I don't know where to begin. First of all you could be the legendary Tony Hawk and many of his fellow skaters. They preform unbelievable tricks on a variety of street courses. These courses would include a warehouse, a school yard, a mall, the streets of Minneapolis, Chicago, Portland, Phoenix, san francisco, and a hidden course that I will let the consumer find. The graphics are so amazing! You could preform many different tricks and their special moves that are so unbelievable that you can never get sick of this. I live in a dorm with my fellow college buddies and I have people in my room playing this game all through the night. I myself have not gotten sick of it and it has been 5 months since I bought it. I highly recommend buying this game. Also if you want to learn more of the skaters tricks look on the internet for the codes and how to preform their tricks. I know you will enjoy the game as much as I do even if you are not big into skateboarding.

This game should come with a warning from the surgeon general. I got this game on a Saturday. My roomate and I didn't move for 13 hours. The best home video game I have ever played! Most games get old for me after about a week of intense play. I have had it for a month and still love it. On a scale of 1 to 10 I give it a 15.

Let this be known, I am not a huge 'extreme sports' fan, nor a participant.. but Tony Hawk's Pro Skaters is by far the best game I've ever played. Since purchasing this game, I've played it non-stop for a few months and have yet to get bored with it. The graphics, the sound, the situations, the people, the boards.. you name it, and this game delivers. If you own a Playstation, an N64, or (not soon enough for me) a Dreamcast, Tony Hawk is definitely a must have game for everyone.

this has to be one of the best games i have ever played. Tony hawk age 31 the only man to complete the 900 switch ollie twice has now made a video game. You can skate all around the USA from NY- Chiago- to the streets of san fransico. You can play as Tony or any other top pro skater. if unlock all the boards collect all the tapes and win the gold medals in the 3 competitions you receive another Player "OFFICER DICK"
