A Wonderful Game!

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 1 / 1

Santa brought my kids a Wii for Christmas, and we added Super Mario Galaxy - boy are we glad we did! This is a wonderful game for both kids and adults. The puzzles require enough thought to make the game a challenge, the environments are hugely varied, and the integration of motion control is done well. I have been surprised at how much my goal-oriented 8 year old loves to go back and explore every nook and cranny, rather than simply racing for the finish as is more normal for her. If there is one must have title for the Wii, this is it - I promise you will not be disappointed!

Great for all ages~

I put this game on my wish list for Christmas since it had such excellent reviews. When i ended up receiving it, i was pleasantly surprised!

What a game. I've only played it for a few hours thus far, but i have to say it brings out the child in me again. I have been a fan of Nintendo Mario products ever since i was a child and this game does a great job of giving you the adventurous fun mario feel. The score, thus far reminds me a bit of Disney music for some reason, which i found humorous.

I've tried playing the game with my fiance, as it does allow a somewhat of a 2 player mode. It would have been nice if Nintendo made it somehow possible to integrate the 2nd player a bit more. While she was happy to be involved, she soon lost interest as she could only have very limited game play.

Nintendo has really done an excellent job with this game in terms of creativity, graphics, and playability. I actually found the game to be a bit easy, but i've died in the game several times, so it's challenging enough for me. The fun factor of the game is excellent for 1 player, and i give it a solid 2-thumbs up for a Mario game.

Highly recommended as a GREAT Wii game.

I get exteme motion sickness and this game induces it something fierce. I am usually sick to my stomach for the rest of the night after playing. That said, this game is so fun, creative and entertaining that I continue to play it even though it literally makes me sick to my stomach. The fact that I am willfully allowing myself to get sick in order to play this game is pretty much the best endorsement I can give. It's awesome.

Every Wiii owner should buy this game!

I had been on the fence about buying this game as it wasn't my type of genre, but when I saw all the early reviews raving about it, I decided to try it out. Good thing I did, because this game is insanely good. The graphics, controls, and design are all top notch. Any Mario fan who owns a Wii shouldn't hesitate any longer. It is the best game available for the system.

LOVE IT!!!

My husband and I (ages 32 and 28) love this game!!! My 6.5 year old loves helping her dad play by using the second controller and helping him collect stars (which is great as she can do that and feel involoved without messing up the game). The games is very entertaining and has the same charm as previous Mario games. Walking upside down in some of the worlds is a little different and you have to get use to it. The graphics are great and we love playing the game and all three of our daughters love watching or helping collect stars. I would recommend this game!

I was hesitant buying Mario Galaxy at first. Thought it would be too much like Mario 64. It's a whole new game and worth buying another Mario game. We got it for $37 at Target this week and what a deal! After playing it I think it's worth the $50 as well. I like that there's a mini 2nd player option that allows you to participate and help player 1 with small things. It's better than just sitting there watching the other play! You can be a part of it. Glad we decided to buy it!

yes mario is back

This is the best Mario game of there. Its almost like the classic super Mario 64 except in space and new ways to play. With the Wii mote and nun-chuck and some movement this makes on of the greatest games of the decade!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very diverse game

A lot has been said about this game already, so I'll keep it short. I cannot believe how much content is in this game. There are so many different things to do that fully utilizes the functionality of the Wii remote...from general movement to balancing on a ball to riding a sting ray in the water. Mario can even be shot like a slingshot from stickey spider webs. A lot of thought went in to this game, it is truly amazing. I just got it for Christmas, but I feel it is not too difficult for an older child/adult (except the Sweet Sweet Galaxy) but is a bit advanced for a younger child.

I think the title of this review captures it all. The story, animations, gameplay and the game's universe are all absolutely stunning and a joy to experience. A perfect holiday gift for long-time gamers (especially Mario fans) as well as those new to the Wii.

We bought this game for our kids for Christmas. My husband and I are from the Galaga and Donkey Kong generation and we've had a little difficulty adjusting to the 360 capabilities of the newest video games. However, we've found that this is a GREAT game for the whole family. Our kids play as the first player since they're able to maneuver and battle at the same time; the adults play as player 2 which allows us to provide assistance where needed. We've had so much fun with it and would recommended it to any family looking for a game that they can play together.
