You place the game disc inside your console and wait for it to start up. As you anxiously wait for the game to begin you pray that this game will be as good as many have described it. As the Ubi Soft Logo comes up, you begin to breathe more heavily, that 1 second seems to take forever to end, and then you realize it...
You see Sam Fisher sneaking through the dark, his life depending completely on his skills and the absence of light. You see how the shadows pass swiftly over his opaque body, you feel all the tension he is feeling, a nostalgic blend of fear and excitement inundate you, Sam's immersive and rich world begins to consume you into an ever deepening state of attention and focus, suddenly, you stop. Why?...... You stop to take a breath of air, as you begin to catch your breath several thoughts race through your head.
You have already forgotten about whether or not this game was worth buying, that is not even a valid question to you anymore. You begin to ask how it can be so real, how it can feel deeper than a dream. You also begin to wonder if this is just a game, you think to yourself "how can it be?"
Without sure answers to these questions you look around in confusion. Then you look up at the screen and see Sam again...
You Smile

This game deserves 5 stars, but I wish it developed into a multiplayer type of game so you could keep on playing it.
Played the game on the hardest setting the first time and made it through although you have to be sneaky to get past the hard parts. Had to get a game book to help me when I got stuck...trying to find the next path to get you through the level. The announcer's voice get's tiring, "My God, have you gone insane?" when you shoot the bad guys when your not supposed to ;-) Some missions require that NO ONE get's killed so you spend a lot of time knocking out the bad guys with your pistol--or you can let them have it with a right-cross which is fun when you see them stagger around from the first punch...then knock them to the ground with a second punch.
I hate tom clancy games and this is no exception

This is your average stealth game. Not enough action and to much not knowing what to do or where to go. The levels are OK. Everyone thinks the graphics are good, but they really aren't as good as they think. Not very fun at all. There aren't any good tom clancy game and this continues the streak.
Go and Buy it now!!...

Let me tell you something, you have to be a real fool not to like this game. Why, it is great. Now I have reviewed nightfire so you can read that as well. S.CELL is great Graphically, there is real atomsphere in the game. It can be a real chalenge so you do have to use thought. The sound is great music super and the style excellent. Metal Gear well I have both. S.CELL is a different kind of game, what I mean is you can be completely immerse. You really become one with the Character. I think this is a excellent game and if the games are as great as this from X-box then I am going to but one!!...

This a Tom Clancy game?-haaaa! Sam Fisher is a nerdbrain gothboy who is like 54 years old and look at his ghay green googles. The game is boring! the guards won`t even look for you they investigate than go back to their posts where as in MGS the guards look for Snake/Raiden or Big Boss for a while and soemtimes even change their patrol posts.MGS OWNZ SC in Gameplay and Story-So what if SC is more realistic thats all SC has on MGS.I have all three mjr systems apart from XB 360 and i reckon that if MGS were a "Xbox ONLY" title-It would blummin` cut up Splinter Cell-XBox fanboys only USE SC to go head2head with MGS not that they thinks its great.I bet if both series were multi-platform MGS would WIN!
XBox has much better games than this piece of "Sh**" like Far Cry,HALO,HL2 and so on.UbiSoft and Clancy should trash SC and make a more reasonable stealth game that entertains me and LOADS of other people and not choke with this realistic krap-Far Cry is realistic BUT FUN at the same time aswith Metal gear and i EVEN LIKE Hitman over Splinter Cell!-i liked SC at first-SCPT was my first stealth game it was fun but when i tried MGS-it just got lame, these are the order of Stealth games which i adore:

If you liked Metal Gear Solid then you will love this game. However if Unreal is more your thing then you may find the pace of Splinter Cell a little slow and the fustration level high. The game could also have been a bit longer, but I am sure there will be a few expansion packs on the way. There is a medium to high level of re-playability.
This game was....well boring

This game was boring, who ever calls it the MGS killer is way wrong. At the most rent this game the training was "ok" but like the game itself was boring and unrealistic...the whole game you get like 40 bullets to tell the truth this game is hard too hard to be fun, in the training they tell you to do things like shoot out lights if you do this in the game your just wasting bullets and wont have enough to kill the enemeys you need to, the night vision looks dumb and blury, i whould not reccomend this if you really want it dont trust the hype and rent it first. or get it for x-box its ALOT more fun. another problem i had with this game was how "Sam Fisher" looked way too old to be a "Splinter Cell" the physics of the game are great but you cant make a great game with just physics...
