This game is amazing. I loved MGS2:sons of liberty and this is just as good (mabye better because this doesnt have Raiden). Tom Clancy is an amazing writer, and im glad his work is going into PS2 now.
Spliter Cell is amazing on Xbox(althought i hate the ugly green baby).
Another notch to my collection!

Lookin good!

Well chances are, you already know of this game but you probably want to know what the PS 2 verison will have to offer that the original did not. Well so far the following additions have been confirmed. The PS 2 version will feature an all-new binocular-vision headset, as well as four, count 'em, 4 new levels in the power plant area! It will also get 30 additional minutes of cinematics, and a completely new four-minute intro with music performed by the Prague Orchestra. Ubi Soft also said they will support Dolby Pro Logic II sound, so anyone with a PLII sound setup will really appreciate this feature. The graphics seem to have been slightly downgraded due to the fact that the original was made for completely different hardware but it looks like it's coming together very well considering it's a port and the extra levels and gadgets should make it a worthy purchase.

This game will kick ... when it comes out. I've played the PC version, and thats a lot of fun, and I've also played the XBOX version, and, yet again, that was a lot of fun. If you own a PS2, the only thing better than this game in the sneaking category is Metal Gear Solid 2. In my opinion, Konami and UBI Soft should come together to make a game that is part Metal Gear Solid, and part Splinter Cell. I'm gonna buy this the day it comes out, and I advise you to do the same.

This game deserves 5 stars, but I wish it developed into a multiplayer type of game so you could keep on playing it.

Played the game on the hardest setting the first time and made it through although you have to be sneaky to get past the hard parts. Had to get a game book to help me when I got stuck...trying to find the next path to get you through the level. The announcer's voice get's tiring, "My God, have you gone insane?" when you shoot the bad guys when your not supposed to ;-) Some missions require that NO ONE get's killed so you spend a lot of time knocking out the bad guys with your pistol--or you can let them have it with a right-cross which is fun when you see them stagger around from the first punch...then knock them to the ground with a second punch.

Go behind the headlines and enter the real world of modern espionage in Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell. Enter Tom Clancy's world of super-secret soldiers and operatives. You are Sam Fisher, a highly trained special operative from the National Security Agency's secret arm, the Third Echelon. Two CIA agents have disappeared from Azerbaijan. You then find out that a former state of the Soviet Union is planning an attack on the U.S. You must infiltrate the enemy personnel and stop this terrorist attack from happening. Then you must escape without a trace.

The Best Game Ever!

This was the best game ever on xbox. Then it came and rocked the pc. And now it is finally coming to the ps2. It keeps taking over platforms one by one. It is the best stealth game and game period. But instead of drooling over it's magnifescence, I'll fet to the review. This is a game where you are Sam Fisher, a former cia operative with intense military experience. You have been called back into action to investiagate the dissapearance of agents Madison and Blaustein. They were working on an operation in Georgia,Russia investigating a break of UN rules. They dissapear so you have to go through 10 intense, action packed levels to find out what's going on. Let me give you an in game experience, you are silently approaching a guard in the police precinct when he hears footsteps, he turns around and starts shooting at you. You turn back into the hall and do a split jump, he follows looking for you, he gets closer, and...
that is just part of what you'll be doing.
Graphics: on the xbox perfect, and from what i've seen of the ps2 also perfect.
Sound: Great on all platforms you hear footsteps on different surfaces concrete, glass, etc.
Gameplay: outstanding, you can do just about anything.

Well, I'll be back with more when it finally comes out April, 8th. I hope you all buy it.

I love how UbiSoft's marketing people post rave reviews of their own products without mentioning that they work for the company.

I came here to check if the game was available for the PS2 yet, because I've seen it on friend's Xbox's and the game does rock, and it's every bit as incredible as Ubi's marketing guys say, but I think it's really dishonest to post reviews for your own product and not mention that you work for the company. I know people in the gaming industry, I know that this sort of thing is typical, but that still doesn't make it right. Let the customers do the reviews. The game is great, you don't need to lie to hype it up.
