This game will kick ... when it comes out. I've played the PC version, and thats a lot of fun, and I've also played the XBOX version, and, yet again, that was a lot of fun. If you own a PS2, the only thing better than this game in the sneaking category is Metal Gear Solid 2. In my opinion, Konami and UBI Soft should come together to make a game that is part Metal Gear Solid, and part Splinter Cell. I'm gonna buy this the day it comes out, and I advise you to do the same.

This is an amazing game! I've had it for one day and I'm already hooked! It's amazingly realistic and you can interact with just about everything. I especially like the split jump, where you can, for example, walk down a corridor and jump up and put one foot on the walls to the sides of you. Also, there are so many ways to take out an enemy: you can, obviously, shoot them, get them in a head lock and shoot them or knock them out and even use them as a human sheild! Finally, the sound and graphics are amazing! You will want to play for hours.

The only complaint I have is about the controls and moving the character. The controls are not like any other game I've played before, so I am constanly refering back to the manual to find the right button to press. Controling the character is tough at first, but you eventually get used to it. What makes it so tough is that you have to control the character and the camera seperatly. While it does help to see what's behind you, it takes a while to figure out what's in front of you.

Overall, it's a great game. It's realism will blow you away, and fortunatly, the unusual controls don't keep this game from getting 5 stars. Trust me, don't waste time and money renting it, just buy it!

You Are A Splinter Cell!

This game is a game that James bond Could take a few lessons from. One of the Lesson is move silently and the darkness is you Best friend. You will Learn that very fast if you miss with a shot and the ememy you missed will come to where they thing you are. You by then are hiding in the dark and kill them w/ a shot to the head. You will be amazed how much work they put into the details of this game. All Aspects of this game are made to include the finest detail. Also the dialog is pretty good ( and funny at times ), such as one level in the begining of teh game where the cook lets one of the enemy's spit in their boss's meal. To Sum it all up This is a game for espionage fans, and you will not be dissapointed for buying it.

Note: Dont forget to hide the bodies, and the dark is you best friend.

Splinter cell is awesome game,very good graphics, good story and the most important very fun. And for the people who says that SC kills Metal Gear solid..........your totaly wrong.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell is obviously the most anticipated game of the year, not to mention the best. This is due to the excellent graphic details and lighting, action-packed gameplay, and a storyline that will grab you and won't let you go. This game is also the best for Play Station 2. This game is much better than the Xbox and Gamecube versions because of the extra mission added to the nine existing ones. Whoever wants to spend their money on something worthwhile should definitely buy this game

Sweet game. Even though im more of a run around and kill guy (Bond, GTA) I really liked this game. Sometimes, during gameplay, you make up your own little ways to do something or comeplete something or hide, in this game you can do that. Hiding, climbing walls, pipes, etc. Its a little on the harder side, even though I like codes. Its alot like Hitman 2(<--Sweet Game) but thats not a bad thing. This should be a buy for the shooter type gamers. Go Ubi Soft!

Splinter Cell just doesn't live up to the hype i've heard about it. It is a good game as far as graphics and storyline go but the game could have been so much more. The "T" rating took a lot of the game's potential away in my opionion. I would advise a rental on Splinter Cell before you rush out to buy it. I borrowed my brother's copy for a day and have reconsidered plans to buy it flat out. It only gets 3 stars because it could have been much better. It can't compete with MGS2 on many levels.

This is the first in a long line of Tom Clancy games that I actually like. The graphics are amazing, the controls are beautiful and the story is actually a story. No other game in this catagory can compair. Get it now, you won't be disappointed.

THE VISUAL AFFECTS OF THIS GAME ARE AMAZING! POSSIBLY THE BEST GRAPHICS I HAVE EVER SEEN IN A GAME. HOWEVER, GRAPHICS ARE NOT EVERYTHING. GAMES ARE SUPPOSED TO BE FUN, BUT THIS GAME IS MORE FRUSTRATING THEN FUN. FOR INSTANCE; WHENEVER YOU DRAW YOUR WEAPON, THE SPEED IN WHICH YOU TURN AND MOVE IS DRASTICLY SLOWED DOWN ALLOWING ENEMIES TO FILL YOUR BODY WITH BULLETS BEFORE YOU CAN EVEN GET 1 SHOT OFF! THIS HAS GOT TO BE THE MOST FRUSTRATING THING IN A GAME I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. THE CONTROLS ARE FAIRLY GOOD WITH LOTS OF OPTIONS AND THE CAMERA WORKS FOR THE MOST PART. YOU WILL REALY GET MAD WHEN YOU PLAY THROUGH ABOUT AN HOUR OF THE GAME, RUN OUT OF AMMO AND HAVE TO START OVER BECAUSE YOU ARE DEFENSELESS. HOPEFULLY THERE WILL BE A SEQUAL THAT WILL ADRESS THESE ISSUES. DEFFINETLY RENT THIS ONE BEFORE YOU FORK OVER FIFTY FREAKN DOLLARS!

As the title may suggest, the game is very good. It's intense action scenes, heart pounding stealth and VERY limited amount of ammo make for a GREAT GAME. Its exciting all the way through. ANyone, not just a stealth gamer fan, will enjoy this game. The biggest problem with these game is it's relative shortness. While it is sizably longer than the X-box version it is still beatable in I'd say under 12 hours. A good weekend or two at most could take down this game. I do strongly recomend this game, but you may want to take it one check point at a time.
