If I had brought it when it first came out.....

I would be mad but since I picked it up cheap i'm ok with it.

Nice try I guess the gameplay is as good as ever and some of the single player missions (the British commando missions) are great fun. But come on 9 new single player missions? Does anyone else feel robbed?

The game really falls flat in multiplayer though it is almost identical to Allied assault. There is not even any of the cool weaponry from the single player missions. There is also another thing while there have been mods made of the existing maps no one has sat down and bothered to write new maps (at least none that I have ever seen). This is true for both allied assault and spearhead. So over all the game feels flat and the only trick to being good in the multiplayer is to know where all the hiding places are. Once you have the experience and know where the hiding places are you can blast the poor newbies like fish in a barrel.

Short But Fun

Yes its a short game and the easy difficulty level is too easy. The original Medal of Honor on the same setting was harder. Spearhead's opening having your character parachute behind enemy lines, though short, beautifully recreated the same scene from the mini-series, Band of Brothers. The missions involving manning a half-track cannon and the one trying to protect a medic while escorting him to your injured commanding officer are tedious and frustrating and most likely were created to give the sense the game is longer than it really is. This techniques is typical in console games. The game is also overly priced for a game that doesn't provide a lot of new features. I am comparing this to Diablo II Lord of Destruction which increased resolution, added new character classes, increased inventory, added new items, etc. basically a truly new game.

Just as good as the original

If you liked the original MOH, then you'll love Spearhead. I thought it was a bit harder in the easy mode than the original MOH. The graphics are superb (a little better than the original); the sound effects are awesome. The battle scenes are new and the game play is just as straight forward as the original. There are not as many intermissions as the original (and I miss that). I'm really looking forward to the future releases of MOH expansions.

...I finihed the first (short) mission on medium difficulty in about 2 hours of interupted gameplay.I'm about to finish the 3rd mission after much same old same old gameplay...Great graphics and sometimes spotty gameplay.I loved the sticky bombs and some of the new weapons but they could have added at least two more campaigns...

Good, but not worth the price.

There's actually nothing wrong with this expansion pack, other than the price. For 2/3 the price of the original (or main component of the game), I expected something with a little more substance. If game companies continue to put out content that's about 1/5 the original game, they should charge 1/5 the price...

Could've been 5 stars...........

but this game just doesn't have enough content. Only 9 new missions and some of them are very short. You do get 12 new multiplayer maps, but most of them are very small which has resulted in alot of spawn killing which tick off alot of people and a couple of the new maps have so much stuff going on that it lags like crazy, even on a cable modem which is what I have. But I really like some of the new maps better than the most of the old ones (too bad they don't do what Half-Life did and give you a map maker. I had over 200 maps on that game and it kept the game fresh for me for over 3 years). As for the single player mission, though it is short, it is also very intense and actually pretty hard. Overall, I thinks this is worth it, but maybe not for the price it started out at. There just isn't enough here to warrant that.

More of the best game of the year!!!

Yes, we all liked Mohaa : Allied Assault...but will we like the expansion? The answer: YES, YES, YES. New models, new interface, new weapons, smoke-grenades, taunts, and some very well designed new maps for death matches AND Objective maps. The Objective maps make this game a multiplayer haven! The single player missions are as good as allied assault and are addicting to play! If you have Allied Assault....what are you waiting for!!! Awesome job to EA for a great expansion!!

Great game for all FPS fans!

The new expansion is well worth its money! I bought the new game and it has great features, new weapons, and skins. There are 3 new single player campaigns and 10+ new multiplayer maps. The Axis weapons are pretty much the same but if you choose Allies, you get all new weapons corresponding to the player (British, Russian, or American). Graphics are amazing, even on a 32MB GeForce 2 MX card! Recommended for all Medal of Honor and FPS fans!

I played Multiplayer Expansion Demo...

I've played the expansion multiplayer demo and from what I've seen they have really changed allot of the game.

|||You run about 50% faaster.
|||Damage is much more realistic. 2 hits from the SMG instead of like 5.
|||Huge Maps, but playable with only a few people, very well designded!
|||Bash With SMG!
|||New Weapons and player skins from British and Russian.
|||In game voting is much more usable and more voting options.

Over all quite a few changes, Looking forward to the full version.

You cannot go wrong

You simply cannot go wrong with this game. It had a lot to live up to with the original, and I'm glad to say the folks making it did it again. It's better then the original game in several areas like, variety of weapons, audio, and lighting.

I felt as if I was the star of a wwii movie. I'm going to play again.
