This was an awesome game. It had unbelievable Graphics. The most shocking sound I've heard in a long time. Here are some things I like about the graphics and sound.
Graphics- Great gun detail, awesome damage after explosions, People look so real.
Sound- Awesome explosion sound effects, all guns sound real, Cool Germain screams.
I took one star off because that is one of the shortest games I've ever played. It only has 9 levels. That is the only downfall of this great game. Despite how short it is this is one of the best games I've ever played.
a little disappointed.....

I'm a big fan of Medal of Honour: Allied Assault and its predecessor Medal of Honour (for the PS). Both games were very well done and I really enjoyed storming Omaha Beach, driving the King Tiger Tank, sabotaging the deadly u-boat and destroying the V2 Rocket Plant. Both were great games. So when I saw Medal of Honour: Spearhead, I thought that it would be just as good. Well, I half to say I was a little disappointed. The game has by far the best opening. Its starts out with you as Sgt. Jack Barnes; paratrooper with the 101st. You and a squad are awaiting to be dropped behind enemy lines on D-Day. As you slowly drift down, enemy flak explodes around you, many of your planes are shot down, triple A tracers fly up from the ground, fellow paratroopers are all around you, and if you watch carefully you can even see one free falling with-out a parachute. When you land, you crash through the roof of a barn full of German soldiers. Fallowing this, you'll be whisked away on 9 levels from Normandy to Berlin, where you'll sabotage German artillery, bridges, and you even get to drive a Soviet T34 tank. Here are some of the new tweaks Spearhead adds to the game: you can now lean side to side (helps to peak around corners), you can control the 7.62 mm machine gun on the Soviet tank, you can operate all sorts of artillery, there are a new weapons, there's 12 new multiplayer maps and a new multiplayer "tug of war" and trees now snap into as you bound away at them with the heavy machine guns. What I didn't like about the game is that the expansion was way to short and made the German soldiers dumber and easier to kill. In Allied Assault, it would take about three rifle shots (in the torso) to take down an opposing soldier. In most of Spearhead, its only a one shot kill. Also the Germans tend to stand around a lot, unaware of your presence even if your raging a battle around them. There are also a number of graphical and sound glitches that kind-of take away from the game. For in stance, when you shoot the Lee Enfield and the Gewehr 43 rifles, there is no sound. You'll here the bullet hit what ever it is you shoot at, but there is no "bang" as you push the fire button. I also noticed this problem with the Soviet tank cannon and some of the artillery. I don't know if this is a bug in the game or what, but it didn't happen in MOH:AA. Graphically, Spearhead is the same as Allied Assault, and the sounds are just as good. What I really liked were the Poems that were read after the completion of each mission. Over all Spearhead offers a fun after noon of fighting, but isn't worth $30. I'm just glade I found the game on a $10 sales rack, other wise I would have felt a little ripped.
God, I love MOH and Spearhead! Great Games!!!

I've probably played MOH a thousand times now... I enjoy it a lot. Spearhead follows suit with a terrific game, but sadly, too short... I understand EA Games is working on a similar game about Vietnam. As a fellow Vietnam Vet, I look forward to that game. Especially from the same team who made MOH! The only drawback I saw in the game was, again, having to wetnurse some doofus "Officer" who's too stupid to take cover during a firefight. Sorry gang, but I have no sympathy for him... In War, you try to survive and you sure as hell don't need to babysit an officer in the midst of battle! Otherwise, I found this expansion pack to be absolutely excellent!
Just doesn't live up

The expansion pack just doesn't live up to the origninal. The first level as your parachute in is the most intense moment in the entire expansion and its the first level!... The original is still one of the best fps's to date and one of the best things it did is start out slow so you had stuff to look forward to, after that first level in the expansion it just goes downhill. Is it worth its price? if your a huge fan of the original it is, even though it can be beaten in a few hours if you play it through. I also might add the multiplayer is extremely fun, and adds alot to the original. THe price is still a little steep for its length.
Good expantion but a bit too small

I loved Medal of Honor: Allied Assult (MOHAA), however Spearhead is not as great as the orriginal. It has (gasp) all the signs of a game made in a hurry. The single player is too easy and beatable in under 2.5 hours, the mission design is way to linear and way to scripted. Because its scripted you will often find yourself sitting and waiting for the captain to tell you what to do, but he wont tell you anything so you need to start over at your last quicksave. The missions have bugs in them and the AI can be rather spotty at times. Your squadmates on the other hand really do help you fight and rarly get in your way. The graphics in Spearhead got boosted, there are new textures for everything, new faces, new skins, and everything is more detailed then MOHAA.
The multiplayer is just as fun as the original, plus you can play all of your favorite MOHAA maps with the Spearhead weapons (Remagen Rules!). The new weapons are great and you get to use them often. The germans have only one new gun however, and it is quite pointless. They got a rifle grenade which shoots grenades and bulllets, hovever the grenades have zilch accuracy and it slows you way down.
HIGHS: New guns, great multiplayer, improved graphics.
LOWS: Made in a hurry, mot-so-perfect AI, Scripted Missions
BOTTOM LINE: Dont buy it if you didnt like MOHAA and think it will make the game better, it wont. Buy it if you liked MOHAA
A little dissappointed but still had fun.

After playing MOH: Allied Assault I was so geared up to play MOH: Spearhead. Well one thing is for sure, the game is incredibly fun and challenging (something I have not yet seen in any of the in the other MOHs), but as most of you will agree, the game is way too short. I know the game was an expansion pack, but this is ridiculous. It didn't even take me 2hrs to beat it. Honestly, what does EA expect to get out of this other than a huge sum of money....My suggestion to EA, stick with the original game plan. Don't go doing things that might hurt your reputation. And trust me, after this game, EA has a huge hole to climb out of. Still, after all the dissappointment, I still have faith in the MOH series and I hope that the next game will be better and longer.
For those who have the Playstation versions of MOH, I've heard and seen the new MOH. Medal of Honor: the Rising Sun coming out on December 7th.
Bottom Line: Spearhead needed more time in its design. It should have been longer. Gameplay is great though.
It's not awesome, but not that bad either

The original MOHAA didn't allow you to lean left or right in the single player game while it was allowed in multiplayer. Spearhead addresses this shortcoming. The pre-dawn parachuting cut scene was well done (despite a flaw where all the paratroopers hooked onto the rail and then UNhooked while checking each others' chute packs and REhooked!). I mostly liked the additional weapons.
While I didn't expect it to be as big as the original MOHAA, I found Spearhead to be short on playtime. I was surprised to find that 1600x1200 video mode wasn't available. I can play RtCW in 2048X1536 without slowing down; I can play MOHAA in 1600x1200 without slowing down; why I can't I play Spearhead in 1600x1200? Although I understand the need to show off the other weapons, why is it that when I link up with the British paratroopers, all of the other weapons I have are gone? The G43 was an improvement over the Karbiner 98 sniper rifle, but you can only use it in one part of the game (short of using a cheat code). The SVT-40 is portrayed as a surprisingly weak weapon, even though historically it was something of a deciding factor in why the Germans lost WWII!
"A Night in Hell" has two problems:
1. Real time aerial and satellite video recon didn't exist in WWII; how can artillery fire be so accurate while I'm running
to find out the captain's wounded, then running get a medic to bring him to the captain, all during night time? Looks like simplistic programming by EA's programmers.
2. While trying to prevent the Germans from breaking through the line, why is it that when I move beyond the mini trench to further engage the Germans, I die quickly and mysteriously? Is it the same miraculously accurate artillery fire I encountered previously?
Hopefully, the next expansion, Breakthrough, will be better done.
Excellent game but to short

When I first started playing spearhead I was very imperessed. But before I knew it the game was over I think it cost alot for just nine singleplayerlevels. Plus it seems more of a windows xp recommended game if you ask me. At first I played it on a pentium three with 128 ram windows 2000 and it didn't run well at all. Since I play on a pentium 4 with 512 ram in it. But I loved the single player levels on it the gun graphics were outstanding.
Loads of fun but way too short

I'd dare to say that as an expansion pack, Spearhead is a more interesting ride than Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. As fun as this game is to play, however, it ends far too quickly. The average player shouldn't have any trouble polishing it off in several hours.
The game adds a host of new weapons and vehicles, but the dearth of levels doesn't allow you to really enjoy them. About the time you start to have fun with your new "toys", the game ends.
Kudos to EA on a game excellently done, but next time add a few more bangs for the buck, please.
Half of an utterly brilliant game

The good thing about Spearhead is that it brings us three brilliant new campaigns.
The bad thing about Spearhead is that it brings us three brilliant new campaigns.
That's because, for the price, Spearhead simply isn't enough of a value. You could beat it in just a few days of casual play.
Another con is that, without Direct X Version 9, it should give you the appearance of playing while drunk.
However,
What MOHAAS provides in terms of actual gameplay is phenomenal. The sneaky commando feel of the original game is mostly gone, replaced by a brilliantly captured sense of involvement in the war itself. Think of how the Omaha Beach level in the original stood out from the pack. That's every mission in Spearhead. Fighting alongside Russians, the 101st Airborne, and British Red Devils adds excellent variety in weaponry and allies. Fending off assaults, sweeping through enemy towns, and trashing Berlin itself lets you feel like you're right on top of the most important battles of the 20th Century.
Also, multiplayer action has improved considerably, with the added spice of British and Russian weaponry along with excellent new maps.
If you loved MOHAA, bite the bullet and spend too much money on the expansion pack.
If you're looking at the games as a double-purchase, wait until the price dips.
