in purchasing a wii back around november, i was already justified. the price is so much more realistic, and you get a much better value than with other consoles. i do not, nor have i ever considered the wii and underpowered system, because power is such a miniscule factor in what makes a great entertainment console. but for any who lingered over whether the wii was worth paying so much less for and wielding the unconventional control scheme, you are now silenced. metroid prime corruption is by far one of the most efficient and intuitive uses of the wii's motion sensing capabilities, and a great testament to the outstanding look games can have on this system with the right development team. i've never played a metroid game before prime 3. i'm a fan.
The best first-person game for the Wii yet

I just finished this game tonight (veteran difficulty mode took me about 20 hours). Note I'm not calling this game a shooter; yes there is a lot of shooting, but the puzzle and exploration aspects left it above the what FPS designation. The graphics are gorgeous; not quite at the level of top-tier 360 games, but still amazing. The controls (I played using the advanced config) are amazing, and really a model for future first-person games. And the story is beyond that of prior Metroid games; the supporting cast does make the game seem pretty epic.
Is it easier than the prior Prime games? Yes, but i don't think its a bad thing; there are plenty of challenges and tough memorable boss fights throughout. The stacked weapon system works well; its a lot less cumbersome than switching between beams all the time.
While this is a 5/5 game, a couple negatives are:
* No cooperative or versus multiplayer modes
* Not really much replay value (except new Hypermode difficulty that I might try in a year or two)
* Non-boss enemies lack the advanced AI and personality you'd find in Halo.
Is the game worth $50.00? For 15 - 20 hours of great game play, and a solid story, yes.
gets boring after awhile

This game is good and has provided hours of fun. I like all the new stuff they added to the metroid universe, but this game gets really boring when you're at the half-way point, and you'll probably keep getting stuck causing much frustration.
If you decide to get Metroid Prime 3, buy the players guide along with it.
Great Game! .....but boring ending

::some spoilers::
it was a great game! it kept me going until the very end! but i was expecting more like a level to fly the ship or maybe a final boss where i wasn't invincible when i was battling him. it was a great disappointment....controls and everything was awesome.....but the story was just.....boring
Metroid Prime 3 Best Game on Wii thus far

I love this game I've played it about 5 hours and I'm only 10% through it. People who say Wii isn't capable of good graphics you have no idea what your talking about Metroid Prime 3 looks almost as good as some Xbox 360 games and also has great art, this is the best game for Wii thus far. The controls are reveloutionary now when I play Halo I wish it had the Wii controls, it's very simple when you want to shoot say a space pirate you just point at him and blast away, it also has three levels sensitivity which is nice for different gamers. Some people have complained about how the bottom, the trigger, is not the button to shoot but I adapated to the controls very well. The story is very interesting though with lots of cut scenes and great voice acting while cut scenes can get a little annoying cause you want to keep playing overall it's great. There are also puzzles in the game which are fairly easy, for example right now I have to figure out how to turn off a radar. It's a nice addition because it makes more of an adeventure game instead of just shooting constantly. The only thing I was disappointed about is that it didn't have multiplayer or wifi so it's only a single player game. Overall though this is definatly worth $50 if you own a Wii this is a must have!
A 5-star if it wasn't so complicated

Complication is good and stuff, but when I made to to northern cannon couryard on the planet Bryyo in the thorn jungle, I found myself cussing at those annoying pesky flying pirates undoing my work, and the annoying music that goes on with it all together. Anyways I have briefly given up on this game. For now.
Great game but disc reading problems

I Love this game for the wii. The controls handle beautifully and story line keeps it interesting. My only complaint is the fact that I get a DISC cannot be read error randomly, which until as of late, has been remedied by powering the Wii down and then back on again. Last night however, I couldn't get the disc to read at all after several attempts. Other disc's in my game collection worked just fine, but after putting MP3C back in, same error.
I had similar problems with a Sonic and the Secret rings game, but sold it days after I got it just because I didn't like the game. I wonder if it's just my Disc, or if others have this problem. A Wii update is needed when you first play this game so i also wonder if it's the console.
I just tried again to see if it would work today...booted into the game and went straight to game play w/o a hitch. I'm sure I haven't seen the last of the disc read errors though.

This game looks so awesome. I love metroid prime and this addition to the series is going to be a hit! you get to use your Wii-mote to point your gun at enemies. Can't say much about it but you can look at the awesome online videos which look awesome. Cant wait

The game overall is not bad, but in comparison to Resident Evil 4 it does not hold water. The limitaions/annoyances of the game are as follows:
1) You cannot skip videos.
2) There is no auto fire. (1 hour into the game my forearm was numb from constantly hitting the trigger button)
3) Turning: You turn with the Wii remote which targets your enemies instead of with the nunchuck joy stick. Just awkward.
In all it is a basic first person shooter for the Wii with a couple of innovative twists.

Metroid Corruption, like all the other ones in the series, is a fun game, and the Motion Controls add some variety to the game.
But, what's with some of these reviews? They seem to be written by Nintendo Employees.
Everyone has an opinion and has the right to express it, but writing a review for a game that you made is both bias and unethical.
Let the consumers rate the game please.
