GTA SAN ANDREAS IS GOING TO TAKE PLACE IN THE 90'S JUST TO LET YOU KNOW. YOUR GOING TO HAVE MANY MORE PLACES YOU CAN GO. WHERE AS IN VICE CITY YOU COULD GO INTO A BUILDING BUT NEVER REALLY DO ANYTHING. IN SAN ANDREAS IT'S A WHOLE DIFFERENT STORY. YOU'RE GOING TO BE ABLE TO EAT AT MANY MORE RESTRAUNTS AND RIDE A BIKE. THE CARS ARE GOING TO BE MORE REALISTIC. OVERALL THE GRAPHICS ARE GOING TO BE BETTER. IT'S GOING TO ONE OF THE BEST GRAND THEFT AUTOS SO FAR!!!
amazing

this game is going to be the best out of all the grand theft auto games. San Andreas is going to have a great combination of Vice City's weapons and cars and GTA 3 story line. The cities are better to because istead of one big cities there are three and they are all huge.

Okay, this IS a fun game. Basically......you COULD say its old because This is the third grand theft auto game to be set up like this. But its STILL fun, and there are enough things to keep it fresh. Keep in mind, though, while this game is fun, It is very vulgar & violent. People spaz out about it too much though. I do NOT believe this game made a child rape his sister. I have not seen anything about rape in this game...though i have seen ALOT of sexual content. A child may have played this game, and alo raped his sister, but I don't believe this game is why he did it. I am sick of people giving great, fun games bad ratings for content, and trying to take it off shelves. Does anyone try to take r-rated movies off shelves...no. I don't see why everyone thinks this is such a big deal. I think anyone 13 or older could handle this game......5 out of 5
Not my style, even a bit racist, but addictive!

I'm definitely not as much a fan of the genre in this game as I am the genre of Vice City. 90's music (mainly rap and hip-hop, R&B), versus 80's music. 80's always wins in my book. Italian gangster stereotypes (plus stereotyped miami haitian and cuban gangs) versus urban gangsta... well, that part really doesn't matter much to me. I definitely found this game to be potentially way more offensive than VC.
That being said, this game still rocks. When you get to gang warfare... it's REALLY ADDICTIVE. I can't stop playing it. The upgrading your weapon skills bit is addictive and fun to. I'm getting real good at blowing up cars with the sawed-off shotgun with one shot.
There were some things game-wise that bothered me. The camera does not follow you quickly enough when you make a turn while driving. It's slower than VC in that respect I find. The problem is somewhat eased by the fact that in this game you can adjust the camera angle while driving with the right joystick - you couldn't in VC. However, this is not quite good enough. So quick turns are harder than they should be.
Also, the map is harder to read, even on the zoomed in scale. The symbols are just too hard to read, they're generally too small. VC had an easier to read map, mainly from using larger, bold letters as icons.
Another drawback, for some reason I can't do any unique jumps, or access any of the races. I've done some research online, and it turns out that most of the races become accessible way later. I think that's a little unfortunate. Especially since one race site I can get too, it's marked on my map, but I don't have enough driving skill to be allowed to compete. On that note, to up your driving skill enough to race, you need the driving school, which is not accessible until significantly later. That kinda stinks. Other races require you to have passed many more story missions.
Basically, I'd like a little more variety early on in what I can do. Yes, I can take over the hood, I can spraypaint graffiti ("tags"), improve my weapon skills, and rob (home invasions, interesting at first, but quickly boring). More races should have been available sooner.
For Unique Jumps, I don't know why I can't do them. Found them easy enough, as in VC, hint maps found online. My suspicion is that my motorcycle skill ain't high enough, which will probably require driving school which is available later in the game. This is probably my biggest gripe, that and the camera angle issue while driving.
Other than these issues, it's pretty freaking awesome. You can ride bikes in this one, which kinda nice when you're stuck without a vehicle temporarily.
If you liked VC, you will like this game, probably love it. It is a bit more difficult in the beginning, but then it gets easier. And for those not into the music so much, fear not. There is funk station and a 90's rock station that are really good. There's even a country station (I never listen to it though).

This game was the absolute best game i've ever played!! There was no reason to rate it adults only. why couldn't they just take the sex game off? i have no interest in watching animated people have sex. i love to explore and drive around and do missions. the violence doesn't bother me, because i know its not real. stealing on the game doesn't bother me either because i have no interst in stealing in real life. i recomend u buy this game
Grants wishes, leaves some for the next game

Like Vice City, San Andreas (SA) has a wide variety of missions that can keep you busy and interested for weeks. The difference is that compared to past GTA games, San Andreas is huge and there's a lot more room in which to have fun. If you like to explore, like I do, then the land mass itself provides hours of entertainment. Not only that, but SA expands the variety of vehicles available to use. How I often dreamed of flying those cool corporate jets in GTA III and VC! Now you can, along with a variety of aircraft including an F-15 like military fighter jet. You even get to drive the trains, even though the control and perspective is limited. I'd have to say my only problem is that I wish it lasted longer. The plot is probably a little longer than the VC plot, but it seems like the plot wasn't long enough to fully utilize the SA landmass, and there could have been more "Acquisition" threads (like the production studio in VC). Overall, an excellent game that grants most of the wishes of VC fans, but nonetheless (though I found SA satisfying) leaves some wishes in the hearts of hopefull fans for the next game.
An Obvious Favorite

All the other reviews can cover the basics of the game. I give San Andreas a 5 because I have only one complaint about the game, and I feel almost silly putting it in black and white: it's too big. Sometimes it's a little overwhelming. With Vice City, I was overwhelmed in the beginning but learned the ins and outs of the city fairly quickly; with San Andreas it's almost impossible to learn the streets. I haven't been able to play as much as I'd like, but despite that one minor annoyance, it's still one of the best game purchases I've ever made. If you're willing to put in the massive amount of time it'd take to actually learn the map and finish the game, go you. But for the rest of us part-time gamers, with a little bit of struggle we'll get there... in a few years.
