This game is asome i am a very big fan of The Lord of the Rings my self and this just blew me away. You can paly as three mane charactores Gimli, Aragorn, and Legolas. Each one had there own goods and bads except one. Aragorn is perfect. He is the best swordsman in the game he can shoot arows decent and his armor is also very good. In this game Aragorn tells a story and it starts
with the The Fellowship of the ring. And in this first half u fight orcs, goblans, giant octopusses, and cave trolls. Let me give you some advise the next two missions are hard for poeple who dont know the game very well. Omen Hen is a hard one,and the next one is in Fotgon Forest. Hold Down the triangle button and when the trolls swings at you let go you will have to do this a few times. The other two charectores are cool two but wen you beat the game and the secret missions with all of them you get a secret player. The graphics are unbelieveable. Even when you beat the game you will want to play the missions over and over and over again. If you like Ps2 games you cant gow without this one. It is way better then Vice City. So ahve fun

entertaining, though certainly not a mental workout

I'm not a huge fan of video games like a lot of reviewers here, actually I'm very choosy about what I play. But this one was a lot of fun. It's almost entirely battle, though, so all you do is fight orcs and a couple of other ugly bad guys. No tasks or problem solving. That was a disappointment, as I just finished playing Fellowship before I started on this, and that had a lot less straight-out killing and took some brain power to beat. Yet The Two Towers is still more challenging, as the levels are more complex, and will take quite a few more hours to beat than Fellowship. Another plus is that this game contains NO blood whatsoever.

Personally I found it a lot easier to play as Aragorn; his sword packed a lot more punch than Legolas' or Gimli's axe. Legolas was good to play when I needed his bow, as his arrows are ultimately the most powerful; Gimli offered the most health upgrades, so I would use him on the trickier parts.

One especially difficult part is killing those big trolls, which you will first encounter in Fangorn Forest. I discovered the easiest way to defeat it is to hit it with your sword, then quickly press L2 to jump back so it doesn't hit you with its spiked club. If it throws logs at you, parry them, because they do take out your health.

When killing orcs starts to grow boring, there are fun little bonuses to explore, like interviews with the actors and game creators.

Also: be sure to actually BEAT the game! When you do, you get to see a brief yet lovely scene from "Return of the King"!! I won't spoil it and say what it is, but you'll love it.

Overall a nice entertaining game, but I'd only recommend buying it to fans of fighting games and die-hard LOTR fans who have to have everything relating to the movies. :)

This game is the BEST!!!!!!!

Ilove this Game because it is exactly like the movie, it has perfect graphics and you get to play as Isildur, Gimli, Aragorn and Legolas.I like it when the game is showing you the movie and it suddenly turns into cartoon. The Gameplay is excellent.I am up to Helms Deep: Breached Wall.Gimli is the best character 'cause he throws axes at his enemies.I have not played LOTR:The Fellowship of the Ring.I loved the movie so I had to like the game.My favourite level is Amon-Hen.

This game is way fun! It has good action and easy combos, it tends to get harder towards the end but I love a challange so it was cool. This game isn't hard after you get all tho moves and attacks. It gets easier when you get the instant kill moves. This game should be two players I think, that is my only complaint about it.

Very cool game. very fun. my one problem with it (being a fan of the movie) was that Merry Pippin and Sam didn't come along. It didn't make sense to me. Other than that, excellent. great graphics.

"The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" video game for the Sony PlayStation2 is very fun, and addictive, to play! The graphics are really good and well-detailed. The music (score), which is from "Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring" Movie Soundtrack, is incredible! "The Two Towers" is a very fun action-packed game that has great cut-scenes from the first and second "Lord of the Rings" movies. Though the game is short and can get pretty repetative at times that doesn't mean that it is a bad game. The replayability of "The Two Towers" is very high(which is cool because thats something you rarely get from any other video game). I have already beaten "Two Towers" three times with all three characters and unlocked the awsome secrets in it. I highly recommend that you buy "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" video game for the Sony PlayStation2! I haven't played the sequel, which is "The Return of the King", to this game yet. I can't wait to play "Lord of the Rings: Return of the King" for the PlayStation2 and see how good it is!

Great Movie Tie-In Game

My little bro got this game for Christmas and complained cuz he could not beat the Octapuss level and i gave this game a shot and beat it within 6 hours and loved every minute of it. The game has good graphics and nice scenes taken from the actual movie that work great with the game. There are only 3 characters to choose from which is an alright feature. The only thing that confused me was playing in the beginning of the game when you play actually before the first lord of the rings and into the last part of the first movie then finally after those missions you start to move into the second movie which is where it all gets very exciting and adrenaline pumping! At some points though the enemies seem overwhelming and takes you at least 2 to 3 tries to beat a level. There are upgrades available for the characters with advance combat skills that you can buy and more health and stronger weapons which is a huge plus. With the 3 characters makes it fun to go back through the whole game and play with them because each has different manuevers and different weapons wich makes it very replayable. With some time and effort and sweating hands this game is very fun, playable, and well worth the money.

Sauron's best

This game is so bad that it looks like Sauron itself was the programer, no twist to the story, super hard levels, (even on easy setting), looks good but better watch the movie, and the rewards are not worth the effort to finish it, stay away from this Ork.
