Ok, I'm kinda tired right now so I won't bore you and write an insanely long review. Alright, now most games that are based on movies .... This one stands above all others in a good way. The graphics are quite good on next-gen console standards and the gameplay is amazing. Not quite your basic hack and slash it has some pretty good depth to it. I like RPG's and Mech games but this is a superb Dynasty Warriors like game that really stands above the rest.
For people that want a good 6 star action game, this is it.

the game is great you get to battle all typs of orcs. and your have all types of moves you have moves that break sheilds and bow and arrows. and get get to up grade moves the only thing bad about this game is that when you are battling orcs you are by our self aginst about 50.but this is agood game.
This game is worth every nickel.

dude, this game is really awsome. but it takes a lot of skill too. you can controll all three characters and take place in most of the battle seens thrughout part of the first movie and the second! it also has video clips from the movie (...)theres nothing really bad about it. only the fact that it can be REALLY hard in some parts. but we all need a challenge sometimes, right?

This game simply rocks i will not explain wy exept that you play as aragorn the ranger legolas the elven prince and gimli the dwarf warrior they are the bomb in the book. But in the game you see them in a fuller sence you are them. And no matter what some may say fighting orcs getting upgrades seeing the world of middle-earth firsthand is a feeling like no other. I never get tired of playing this game especially sence you can go back and play the same levels again with your upgrades, talk about fun!!!! definite must have

The lord of the rings is the best game in the wourld!!!If you dont have it yet get it!!!
The bestpart of the game is where you have to battle a cave troll in the mines of moria and it would be better if the game was a bit bigger!one bit which canfused me is where you are in fangorn forest and you have to kill the troll!I dident know what to do at first and got killed!It would be good if you had a clue what to do! ...

i would suggest this to any gammer interested in lotr. It gives
you the look of the middle earth and the battles. this game is
based on the movie not the book which has surprised some people
who have played the fellowship of the ring. This game is flat out great with different weapons, orcs and battlegrounds.

I thought this game was so awsome i liked when you stab at them on the ground they bounce up and down and being able to get beter swords with Aragorn beter bows with Legolas and beter axes with Gimli

first of all i must make a confession. ihave only been on this game twice.my freind owns it.However, twice was enough. I spent all day on this masterpeice, and if i didnt have to go home then proberbly all night to!. I am now constantly looking for exscuses to go to his house, just to play on the game, its that good.
you can play as aragorn, leglas and gimli( gimli being the best.)the gamplay is sheer brilliance, its only rival is halflife opposing fore.
The best part is the first level. you play as isildur. let me set the scene.its the begining scene from the movie. thousands of orcs are rushing towards you.and then it begins.You are wondering how the playstation manages to not crash when it has so many orcs on it.
proberly not a good exsplanation, but thats how the game is, inexspicable.
buy it, or miss out on the treat of your lives!
p.s nothing is bad about this game!

This is by far one of my favorite PS2 games!!! It has awesome graphics and gameplay and is very true to both the movies it potrays. You can get tons of great upgrades for Aragon, Legolas and Gimli and eventully, Isildur. It might not be the longest game, but you can play it over an over and still have fun finding secerts and different ways of playing. You will not regret playing this game!!!

I have to admit, I am not a big LOTR fan, but I decided to rent it and see how it is. I absolutely love this game! The graphics are amazing, and the levels are so cool! What's also great is that the original actors did their voices! I definetely recommend this game to anyone! It's a PS2 MUST HAVE!!!
