Fun with The Sims... yet again.

The Sims House Party Expansion Pack is a ton of fun! It makes an already quite entertaining game better. I also have the Living Large Expansion Pack, with I thought was very good, but this one is even better. New entertainment for your Sims such as the bubble blower and the mechanical bull all make it a cool and unique simulation experience.

Lets get partyin'!

House Party, the 2nd step for Maxis and The Sims! You get 100 new objects like bubble blower, campfire, and telaporter! You can now start a party up by "Throwing a Party" on the telephone! But you better have a good party, or you will get the mime, that can actally steal your stuff! In this expansion pack you also get the wedding cake, which is actally a cake that a performer gets out of and wiggles there but and enterains your guests! You also get a DJ station! You can rap' it up with 8 kinds of music like Techo and party on the dance floor! You can also dress up Hawii stayle and more stayles with custom trunk! Become a rodio king with the body-building mechinal bull! This game has a lot in it!
Grapics/Looking Animation, well, the grapics are the same as always! 10/10
Fun, not only fun with your sim, but with you also, your goin to be partyin'! 9.5/10
Gameplay/Movieplay, lasts longer with House Party, and it lasts a long time without stopping. 9.5/10
Sound, I love the DJing! 10/10
Overall, if you have The Sims, get this! 9.5 Awesome/Pefect and 5 stars for House Party!

What can I say this game is the best (a little slow) but fun, you get a ton of new stuff including new jobs and activities. Plus of course a party, all you need is some people,some food, with a dash of music and fun, and you have a recipe for a great party (and if you have a big enough party you'll have some stars come over and join in.
Get this game if you want a party and your parents said you can't have one.

This is a great game. There are tons of cool new items and clothes to dress your sims in. You can throw a party but wath out for the mime who dosn't leave until all your guests leave.If you know the right cheat code you can get you sims $$$$$$$$$$$.This is a BIG step up from the sims which you need to play the sims house party. This game is worth EVERY PENNY. I was very satisfied with this game and you will be too if you buy this game.

OK I just got it yesterday and I was up till 3:00 A.M. building new things for my Sims. I kinda lost interest in the game after everything from Living Large got old. So House Party has resurrected my love of the Sims. There are so many new things that you have to try. The Cake with the exotic dancer in it is hilarious! Also you need to try the machanical bull! Great new lights and walls...too many things to list in this review.

I'm a major sims fan i now own 4 of them. House party was great much like all of them. In house party you have the choice to buy cool lights like the floor lights in disco and wall lamps too. you can also buy a Dj's stand and tones of speckers to fill your house with tunes. Also you can have celebertys come to your house, for example i had drew carrey come once. but most of the time only mimes will come. you can them your partys too you can have tropical, hodown, disco and future. This game comes with tons of new wallp[aper and floors. there are also bong like buble blowers and stripe like people you can buy. Any way this game rocks the house.

Throw a party, invite your friends in!

Are you a party-animal? Get this expansion pack and you'll be able to invite all your friends and have a party at your house. Be sure to prepare the everything before inviting your friends in. Prepare the food, clean-up your house, and have yourself a good mood (not hungry, enough sleep, etc).

The more friends you have, the more people are coming in to your house when you throw a party. :) This is a good way to keep the relationship between you and your friends.

Great If you love the sims and I do

This is great add on fro the well loved Sims. Tons of new Objects to row a great party. Like A Mechanical Bull Card table campfire. Lots of new walls and floors to make your houses different. Lots of new skins clearly a great game

A Must Have!

Even if you don't want to throw a party, this expansion pack is a must have. There are more objects and more skins. Now you'll find that the option to "talk" always pops up in your Sim interactions. When you command your Sims to spray roaches, it stays in queue with other commands even if it isn't the first in line. Changing clothes is quicker than ever. When you send them to a dresser, the game pauses and a window opens to give you the option to accept an outfit or see the next. This is a big improvement over your Sims spinning themselves to death until you find the outfit you want to keep.

There are only a couple of downsides to the game. There are now small swarms of flies floating about the house for no reason. There are no interactions available for them and even the maid doesn't get rid of them. Thankfully, they are very small. The only other downside is that when you do throw a party, the game slows down considerably. This is due to the fact that practically everyone in the neighborhood drops by at some time or another. The game moves so jerkily that your Sims are difficult to locate and control.

Still the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages. House Party is a good addition and necessary for any serious Simmer.

The Sims House Party is one of the few expansion packs that I can't do without apart from Hot Date and Livin' Large (And to some extent Vacation, and Superstar). It truly enhances Sims' lives by inviting each other for costume or themed parties, but it has it's disadvantages as well.

You want to make sure that your Sims really know the people around you for the party to go well or the dreaded Mime'll arrive. He doesn't do much apart from get in the way and annoy people. While on the other hand, if your party's a success you get a surprise visit from a celebrity! It's never happened to me yet, but then again I've done the sad mistake of signing up with the Talent Agency too quickly.

Also, if your Sim isn't on good terms with any other Sim in the neighborhood, using the phone to declare a house party'll automatically invite them as well. This can get nasty sometimes. In cases like these, it'd be "safer" to use the phone and manually select who you want to invite over. Then of course, you can always buy the turkey and the Christmas tree.

Parties are even divided into adult or kiddy parties, with dance entertainers popping out of cakes for the former but a purple gorilla usually stuns the kids for the latter. Some of the additional items that come along with this expansion pack are DJs, Caterers and costume wardrobes!
