The Sims keep on going

With the thoughts of this making - you have to get this game. Since it has more spectacular floors, walls, skins, and objects - you are going to have a lot of fun! This game is specialized with more themes like "hideaway" and "Hawiian", but I saved the best for the last - "Lets Party!!!!!!". There are new objects for each theme, like for the Party theme they have Psychidelic chairs and tables, my favorite on the Sims House Party, is the transportation device, like a teleporter. If you love the Sims, and it is your favorite game - you'll love this one even more than any other!!!!

Excellent game but many technical problems!

I have had SO MANY problems getting this game to run and at this point am completely unable to use it. I have tried every solution possible but don't know if it is a driver problem, incompatibility with Windows Millenium, or a problem installing over the Livin Large upgrade. I have searched every resource and newsgroup on the web, and have contacted EA but only got an automated email response giving every solution I had already tried. However, I have seen tons of other people with the same problem also searching for help. I give it 5 stars because for the 3 hours I was actually able to use it, I had more fun than ever and was laughing out loud watching them ride the mechanical bull! I just wish you didn't need a PHD in Computer Science to figure out how to run it.

I wish I could give this game more than 5 stars

Maxis has done it again!! This is such a great game. If you have The Sims, House Party is a must-have.

Throw parties with all the people in your neighborhood or just with a few friends. But makse sure everyone is happy and having fun, or else the ever-unpopular Tragic Clown or the annoying French Mime will--or I probable should say will make a failing attempt to-- entertain your guests.

Of course, with so many great new objects, keeping guests entertained should be fairly easy. New skins, objects, and house decor are available. I hope that your sim has a good paying job, because there is so much that you will desire to buy!!

You love the Sims, you really need this expansion pack. All the sleepless nights it will cause are worth it. ;-)

House Party makes the game a party!

This expansion makes the game so much better. The Sims was missing this aspect of human life badly. This allows you to make friends and do stuff besides talk at partys. The people and the items are awesome. You don't know the sims if you haven't played this game!

I'm not saying I don't like the Sims, in fact I love the new items. The problem is, now I have 60$ in old Sim games (The Sims and The Sims: Living Large expansion) that won't work on my PC. Normally I wouldn't care, but 100 new objects are a little weak. And there are litterally hundreds of fan websites out there were you can download new objects. Kind of a rip, don't you agree? Plus, as another reviewer stated, the point is the same. Wake up, eat, go to work, come home, eat, watch TV, shower, go to bed. Maybe a friend can come over once in a while, but that always makes my sims in a bad mood: They leave the place a mess, and, for some reason, the sims don't enjoy talking to friends. I know I do! And just when are we supposed to have time to pary? How can you even afford that 7,000 simolean stereo system if you don't have a job? Unless you use cheat codes, it's nearly impossible. And additionally, the game slows to an unworldly pace if there are too many guests over. On the bright side, however, I do love manipulating things (Just think of my poor dwarf hampster I own in REAL life!), so this game continues to hold my intrest. If by now, you can't make your own skins or objects for the game, then you'll probably loose intrest very quickly. Personally, I find making objects and skins more fun than the actual game! Also, the few new objects, skins and NPCs they did include I enjoyed very much: -An electronic, bucking bull to raise your sim's body score. -Seperate stereo speakers that you can place without buying another stereo system (you can turn them on/of) -NPC entertainers that come out of a big cake. Those are so funny! -A campfire: your sims can roast marshmallows, tell stories, sing songs or just talk -Boy/Girl bathroom doors: girls can only use a toilet in the girl's room, boy's only in the boy's room. -The buffet and punch tables are great for when you have a ton of guests. -A NPC caterer you can hire for a day; he'll clean dirty plates and keep your punch and buffet tables full. -A dancing floor that lights up depending on the type of music. -A celebrity guest: It's Drew Cary, I've had him over before. It's really funny becuase everyone comes running out to meet him. -New music types like Techno, Rap and Country. -A pay phone--theres a new option: Throw a party. It invites 3 or 4 people over at at time, without you knowing. -Two words: Inflatable Chairs -A phone pluggin. It was available on... before they put it in House Party. It's an option to invite or just talk to the person you're calling. Other than the new objects and skins, there's really nothing new. I got this expansion early on and was pertially dissapointed. I should have saved the $$ for SimsVille or The Sims Online, coming out early next year. Summary: This game was great. I'd give it 4 1/2 stars if I could.

This game is great for mature kids. Yes, there is some sexual content but not much. I think every mature kid should have this game.
