This is an excellent game. The graphics, the storyline, everything, is worth the quite reasonable price. And eventhough it's an older game it still has incredible graphics and is just plain fun. The only problem....it's too short. It took me altogether about 6-8 hhours to complete which was very dissapointing. I could have played this game for 100 hours at leat. All I can say is get this game. I guarnteee yu won't regret it. No matter what kind of gamer you are this is a great little distraction for a few days. The replay value is nil, but the game is so cheap (price wise) it dosen't matter. So, I encourage everyone to get this game and join the little funny dead guy named Manny and have a blast!

The Best Game of All Time

The most wonderful game I've ever played, the game immerses you in the wonderous 3d atmosphere, which, while outdated at the present, was the best of its time. I played this game and I still play it through. It has you laughing one minute and crying the next. Its like actually playing a movie. The characters touch you and even though they're animated you feel as if they've seriously befriended you. This game is my favorite game of all time and a must have for any adventure gamer.

Ever so Perfect!

I can not stress enough how much I loved this game. The scenes and graphics are just lovely, the music is fitting and fantastic, the characters (especially Eva, Olivia, and Max) are amusing, eccentric, and couldn't be wittier or more enjoyable. Like a good novel, except there's not way NOT to identify with the main character, and the sites and sounds are so much more real. Action, adventure, gambling, revolution, film-noir characters and memorable dialogue, clever twists, big cars, irony and death, love, scyth fights, wit, humor, poetry, a big octopus...this game has it all! And Rubacava, the city that never died, is this misty little boardwalk port city that I know I'll make sure to visit when I enter the ninth underworld.

Still wonderful after all these years.

While this game is older than some of my children, it's still a truly wonderful, and under appreciated gaming experience. By chance I stumbled upon Grim Fandango during an Amazon.com Friday sale a year ago, and have spent numerous hours solving the puzzles and enjoying the story as it unfolds.

At its current price, this is the best value anyone can get in PC gaming.

It is a very good game, and challeging too, but at some points it will get stuck, plus you only get to use keyboard, plus some places are a bit buggy, aside from that, it's a pretty good game, though

The Undisputed King of Adventure Gaming Today

This is the best adventure game today, hands down. In the classic, film noir story you play Manny Calavera, a suave travel agent in Purgatory, just trying to make an honest living selling souls a travel package to Heaven. This is made more and more difficult by his loudmouth boss Don Copal and his scheming rival Domino Hurley (who is portrayed as the quissentessial Chicago mobster type). After their last bogus client, Manny tries to get a new client and steals one, Mercedes Colomar, from Domino, with the help of his driver buddy Glottis. Cheerful, big, bumbling and orange, this lovable demon is the comic relief of the game. Beautiful, smart, sweet and rich, Mercedes should be offered top notch travel to Heaven, but for some reason is not. Then, she dissapears and Manny is fired. Domino starts to converse with a mysterious, evil stranger, and Manny finds a heroic rebel who suspects that the Travel Agency's motives are less then honest.

Beautiful, 3D yet cartoonish graphics, a lush Jazz score wonderfully compliment a hilarious cast of characters. Slimebag lawyers, treacherous women, a Russian cyclops, hyped up Coat-Check ladies and deadly, poison shooting guns make for a dramatic, hilarious, cool and fun play. If you get stuck, contact the walkthrough on www.cheatersguild.com, because some puzzles simply don't make sense. You will fall in love with the characters, with perfect voices and faces. Buy it if you like adventure games, because there isn't another like it. ....

An exceptional game!

This was truly one of the best games I have played in a long time. It has challenging puzzles that may at times seem impossible but the solution is often right before your eyes. Based upon the Mexican Day of the Dead it gives the player a little bit of background while keeping them entertained. Great game, lots of P.I. cliches, mentally stimulating, and just plain FUN!

This is a wonderful game.

This is great game, the story is engaging, the puzzles fit in nicely with the story so that they don't seem like puzzles, and the music is absolutely fantastic. I stopped playing the game and just listened to the music at some points. I loved the characters too, Manny, Lupe, Glottis, and all the rest
