This game doesnt worth the money and it doesnt worth the hardware resources.
The game is boring and it doesnt run smoothly even with my
Pentium 4 2800Ghz, Motherboard 800Ghz FSB,AGP X8, Hard Disk
7200 RPM with 8 MB buffer and 1000 MB Virtual Memory,
Video Card NVIDEA Ge-Force FX 5200 128MB Video RAM + the latest driver.
This is much more then the "SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS" but still i had
to cancell all the HQ effects because it was running in slow motion.
Graphics are decent but nothihg "revolutionary",although the weapons are great.
And what about that new "ENGINE" developed by ID? Obviously it has flaws.
So dont bother upgrading your system in order to be able to play
DOOM 3.Save your money.
I wish i could get my money back.

(((DOOM III ALPHA LEAK)))------>WOW!!!

(...)I was one of the few lucky ones to be able to play Doom III Using the 3 level Demo that E3 released. I must say that the game accomplished what it was intended for, to scare the living daylights out of you. I played the Alpha Leak on a 1.8Ghz 512mb ram with a Geforce 4. It was laggy but I'm sure it will run better once the retail is out. Doom III has the best lighting and shading I've ever seen in a game ever. The game is like walking around in a scary haunted house with a gun. The models for the zombies and monsters are insanely realistic. It's dark, bloody, and scary and I look forward to playing the retail version. One word of advice, if you think the zombie is dead, he is not!

Just a great game!

Doom 3 is'nt like the other Dooms. Its more like alien, or Resident Evil. Its really fun, it is also challenging. Many of the same demons are in the game, but they are all different. More scary. Over all I think you should buy this exciting game.

Awesome But E3

....all the e3 demo was for is to show that they have a working engine and even in it's pre-release state that it is working very good, not to mention that even the demo is scary... So just pay the for a new mobo, vid card, and processor..then wait...becuase i know you will love it.

Overall this is a great game with fun gameplay. A quote from a friend who played it at my house was "DUDE it must have taken em years to make these sweet graphics.

If you're running Win XP with Service Pack 2 installed, you had better forget about this game. NONE of the customer helps to overcome the errors that occur during loading will help and Manufacturer has never responded to any of my request for help. DON'T BUY IT UNTIL THE MANUFACTURER GETS OFF THEIR BUTT!!!

That one dude was right

This game isnt all its cracked up to be.\

1.It barely works on any computers only rich people can afford the money to upgrade this peice of crap.
2.The guns blow the hand gun sounds like a cap gun, the assault rife sonds like a freakin air rifle, the only fun gun to use is the rocket launcher but the game is so closed in that you will get killed as well as the demon, and finally they are not fun touse.
3.why dont the guns have a flashlight on them it is so annoying switching to the flashlight over and over again; they have freakin have flashlights on guns now for pete's sake and the game is a hundred years in the future.
4.the game is damn dark you cant even see the games beauty.
5.only 2 on 2 on multiplayer.
6 its the same thing over and over A to B Ai sucks also they just pop out of nowhere and slap you. This game wasnt even that scary far cry was scarier than this bull$h## and that was also alot more fun ai is good sound is good, weapons were better, there were vehicles, three types of grenades, better enviroments, you could even fly hang gliders, and you dont even have to do the missions you can explore and just cause mischief. All in ALL this game was crappy and they could have made it alot better i am dissapointed at ID they made the first good shooters and they made one of the first crappier shooters

Makes Halo 2 Look Like A Barney Video

This game was definately worth the wait and it certainly lives up to all of the hype. As promised, it is a gory, nerve-wracking slugfest of a game. The game itself is amazing, with state of the art graphics and sound that make the gameplay all the more exciting. The campaign is also built nicely, made long enough to feel fulfilling but short enough to avoid frustration and a sense of repetition. And the various difficulty settings ensure that a gamer will not feel overly challenged or become bored.

However, there are a few things that i didn't like. First, as a person who enjoys and values game intros very much, i was disappointed by the lack of a real introduction, and felt thrust into the game without any background on the characters. Second, The character that you play as never talks, a fact that makes character development almost non-existent. Another element of the game that can become very annoying as one progresses is the necessity of the flashlight as one moves through extremely dark environments. This caused me unnecessary damage countless times as i encountered a demon and then had to switch back to my gun as he assaulted me. Lastly, the end of the game is quite dissapointing. The final boss is almost laughably easy, making the effort that the gamer puts in to find him seem worthless (I killed him in two tries). And the game's conclusion seems lacking as well, leaving a player to sit and stare at the screen waiting for more.

Despite these problems, Doom 3 is a highly entertaining game and definately a necessary addition to any self respecting gamer's collection. The gameplay is highly addictive and quite simply, killing hell-spawn en masse just feels good. And although it may not have a very elaborate story-line, the game is scary and exciting enough to make you forget its absence. For everyone who thought Halo 2 was a great game, please graduate Grade 2 and grab Doom 3!

This is probably the best game i've ever played, i played it till my eyes became blood shot, i have no idea why other people have a problem with this game. This is also the scariest game i've ever played, it could only be scarier if they played creepy goth music in the backround. The only problem was a little one, the extreme obsession with darkness in the game, i had to turn the brightness on my T.V. becuase i couldn't see jack when i was sent to the Hell Level. the game is much less scary if you turn the invincible cheat on. hte constant fear of actually being cannibalised by a creepy Zombie or beaten to a pulp by a huge HellKnight is the scariest part i think, this game should get 10 stars for both categories and a game of the year award. I couldn't describe my ecstacy as I blew my fisrt Imp back to hell with my shotgun. Buy this game, the multiplayer is really great too. it supports Live too so you don't have to stop playing after you beat the game.

This aint DOOM

Back in the 90s I played the original DOOM to death. It was and still is very dear to my heart. So like many others I awaited the release of D3 with great anticipation. And it is a good, if flawed, game. But it aint DOOM. No way. It is absolutely nothing like the original. The story is the same, but the atmosphere is gone, and above all the old fast and furious gameplay is gone. In the original you would be out in wide open hellish spaces mowing down legions of hell knights with your plasma gun. Not so here. This feels more like Resident Evil, a trip through a horror house with all of the typical cheap horror house tricks. You walk into a room, lights go out, door locks behind you, then you hear an evil "Hehehehehe" and you get waylaid by a couple of nasties in the pitch black. Nothing like that ever happened in the original Doom. I still think its a good game, and definitely worth playing, but in my opinion its no successor to DOOM.
