Fails to impress

I was expecting a lot from this game as an owner of Ghost Recon 2. The third edition failed to impress, yea graphics got better and loading times are blazing fast, but the game itself just isn't as fun as the previous. It is actually alot easier to master than the previous, a little more game like than real world. It's good, just not great. Wait a couple of months and I'd expect it to get pretty cheap, not something I intend to keep in my premenant game collection.

Online play is just as expected. Not much say here, it's fails to impress in this regard as well. Ghost Recon 2 is definatly superior and more challenging.

This By far the best game out for the xbox 360, the graphics on it are very very nice, its a must have for all 360 owners

I never really cared for FPS (didn't like Halo, Doom 3, and HL 2), but last year Far Cry Instincts on the Xbox converted me. COD2 was almost as much fun. I played on the default difficulty, which turned out to be a bit too easy, but the game was still very enjoyable. The framerates were smooth and fluid, while the snow and smoke were visually stunning. I enjoyed the collection of campaigns, although the game felt a little short. There are not that many games out for the 360 yet, so this one is a must play.

Excellent 1st shooter game, graphics are awesome, & you learn a little bit of history behind one of the most devasting wars in world history. It makes you realize, war is made to be played on a game console, not in real life...our world leaders have yet to understand this...

These are the good and bad Features of COD2

Great Graphics. (milked the 360 HD for its money)

Choppy online play if ANYONE of your online opponents/allies has a bad connection.

The storyline Is horrible.(its like all other ww2 games)

The singplayer gameplay has big jumps in skill level, for example, There are HUGE differences on gameplay between normal,easy,hard, or veteran.

The levels get a little excessive (for example on EVERY mission you have to plant bombs in a tank)

The animations and physics engine are nice (not quite half life 2 for the pc, but still good)

The challenge of gameplay on normal is perfect. Not to easy, not to hard, you will die a few times but nothing that will having you throwing your controller to the wall, and even if that does happen theres always easy (which is relatively easy)

This WILL NOT give you gamescore points easily, Youve goota work for em (see xbox 360 information for gamescore definition)

im 100 percent sure you wanna give it a rent, Im 70 percent sure you wanna buy it.

...they fix the multiplayer issues (all of which has been detailed in previous reviews), then the game will be what it should be. After playing the game on a friend's 360, I'm going to pass and await the launch of Battlefield 2. Note: In singleplayer mode, the game is quite fun, and intense. The high sound quality really adds to the overall experience.

great game with good graphics a lot of work was put into it i love mutiplayer becuse i have 2 other peoples to play with i've almost beten the game i'm just past d-day it's differnt then most games on d-day it's the other side you climbe rocks & kill germans (Jerrys)it's hard but fun the russens are the best in the game have fun batteling germans & lots of Tanks

First of all, don't get me wrong. I really like this gamem, but the graphics and stuff can be a lot better on this new 360 console I think.

The whole game overall is amazing and is at least worth a rent. There are a lot of different missions from 4 different viewpoints of the war. I did hear that this game is really short, I myself have beaten half of it on the hardest difficulty in 2 days. If you are a fan of war games this is a must.

The online is pretty cool also. You choose your side, choose your starting gun, and kill. Like I said before the graphics could be a lot better and I had hoped the online multiplayer number would be more than 8 =/ but the sound and everything else is amazing.

Single Player is Great -- Multiplayer big disappointment

Probably worth buying just for the single player games.

Multiplayer is a huge disappointment. You can't select a group of players (friends) and start a game with just that group. One person has to get into a game and everyone else has to go into their dashboard and join the game in session before Xbox Live finds 7 other people on its own. This is a MAJOR DRAWBACK.
