If you have X-box live, then this is the best game out right now. Hands down!!!! Make this your first purchase. I have played every game out now and this is BY FAR THE BEST ONE AND IT'S OUTSTANDLING AUESOME!!! BUY THIS TODAY AND YOU'LL AGREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been playing this game since the launch day of the 360. It is the GREATEST game i have ever played. I only [play online. I have been thru it all on this game, i used to host games when the hosting glitch was still running rampid, before they updated this game and did away with the glitch. I have the best connection, in my server EVERYONES ping is 100 or less...so NO lag. I play DEATHMATCH and change maps frequently for my guests, to keep things interesting. The recent addition to this game has been those new maps, and they are UNREAL!....I fell in love with this game all over again!!!!!
I am very good at this game, and my name is ALWAYS on top of the scoreboard...i usually only have time to game on sat and sunday mornings...EARLY...like 6a.m- 9 a.m.

All that I really need to say is, while me and two other friends were playing this game on multiplayer, I was beginning to fall asleep. One of my other friends actually DID fall asleep!

I found this game to be utterly slow and relatively safe in terms of what it can do--this is not a good thing. There is nothing innovate to speak of. How many times can they redo WWII video games? There's no story line, unless you enjoy sham remakes of what really happened. There really isn't much historical fact here either.

But I guess most people that play this junk are too fat and lazy to open an actual text book to learn what really happened.

this is with out a douth the best war game ever created.on any platform,the realistc,the destruction ,the true history on the bloody war.my respect to the creator of this game.a truly classic for years to come. hightly recomended.

Call of Duty 2

I got an XBOX 360 for Christmas and wanted this game above all others. I enjoy WWII first person shooters and from what I read, this was the cream of the crop. I really enjoyed this game; the landscapes were lush, the action was fun and there was a good variety in terms of game play--you start off as a Russian soldier in Stalingrad and once you finish those missions you unlock the British Campaign in North Africa and then finish the game as an American in France during and after D-Day. I just wish this game were longer, perhaps incorporating a Japanese section. From what I know, there are only a handful of Pacific-Theater based WWII games, but none of them really did well. Also, from a few people that own Call of Duty 3 as well, many agreed that Call of Duty 2 is better rounded and more fun.

Well rounded and lots of fun. Play through on "Veteran" for great challenge.

I picked up CoD2 recently at a reduced price and am glad to say that it was an excellent value and loads of fun. My comments are based mostly on the single player campaign. The graphics are very good with high levels of detail, convincing locations, and great character models. The control is solid (The movement of your character feels like it could be a bit faster at times) and the control scheme is well thought out. The environments are wide open, well laid out, and interesting. The enemy AI is good enough to keep things challenging as the difficulty is ramped up, although the fact that they only target you can be amusing and frustrating. The missions are fairly diverse and throw you into many different situations and environments with 3 of the allied forces (Russian, British, and American.) I played through the game on the highest difficulty setting and it was quite challenging. The enemy forces will target you exclusively and your guys don't back you up enough to make it seem like anything other than a one man mission. Some parts in particular were incredibly difficult to get past. If you're looking for an even better value, try finishing the game this way. At regular difficulty, I imagine it would all be over rather quickly.

Most importantly, CoD2 immerses you in intense situations very effectively, making it lots of fun to play and worth spending your time with. Highly recommended!

This is an overall 5 star game. I have spent countless hours playing my friends in mulitplayer. The one huge problem is when we went to system link two consoles it just didn't work. We tried everything and looked on the internet for solutions but nothing worked. I now have Call of Duty 3 and there is the same problem. Gears of War works so I know it's not the system. But overall a great World War II game that was the first great multiplayer game and still one of the best for Xbox 360.

I'm not a fan of first-person shooters, but I love this game. The graphics are beautiful and there is so much going on around you - it actually feels like you were dropped in the middle of a war. The sound is amazing in 5.1 surround sound.

If you're getting a new Xbox360, make sure this is the game you buy with it.
