Great Game For 3 Days

This is not really multiplayer. You cannot connect other 360's and play multiplayers and you cannot play more than one player per box on Xbox Live. This is Microsoft trying to maximize profit at the expense of increasing game players. They want to sell an Xbox, game and controller to every person that you want to play with.

It is a great single player game, but only for about 3 days. By then you have beat all the levels and, since you can't get your friends into a game, you are done with it.

It seems that Microsoft does not like the way that Halo allowed all your friends to play at once with you.

Pure Junk

For a supposedly next generation console this game is really boring. It's like a PC game. I guess the Xbox 360 is really a Xbox 1.5. Another way for Microsoft to make money from dumb American consumers.

The only thing "real" about this game, is how bad it is...

This game is the top selling Xbox 360 launch title. However, there's so many bad things about this game, it was clearly rushed into manufacturing. Since first-person shooters are my favorite type of title, I hurried out to buy a copy, but I should have rented it first.

The game, for all it's incredible sounds and graphics is incredibly poorly made. It uses the "checkpoint" style of save games, so you'll spend hours (literally) shooting the same people at the beginning of the level, only to die near the end and head back to the checkpoint. This is the most frustrating experience I've ever had, since some of the levels are so poorly made that there's no possible way to pass them except by luck. I would not play this game over again for that very reason alone. In addition, the game has incredibly stupid bot teammates (who walk into your line of fire and won't shoot a guy that runs right past them) and incredibly bright enemies (who will shoot you and NOT the bots, because they know doing so will end your game). I cannot tell you how many times I've had three bot teammates in front of me and the enemy runs right past them (without my guys firing a shot) and kills me.

Once you get past these incredible oversights in single player, you'll be disappointed to find that Xbox Live play is even worse. There's a petition on the Internet right now demanding that Activision issue a patch to support 16 player support, the ability to create custom games and many other features.

I strongly suggest renting this title instead of buying it. There's no need to feel the same frustration I did and then have it sit on your shelf.

Game wouldn't play in my Xbox 360. I returned the game, and I am still waiting for my refund.

All that I really need to say is, while me and two other friends were playing this game on multiplayer, I was beginning to fall asleep. One of my other friends actually DID fall asleep!

I found this game to be utterly slow and relatively safe in terms of what it can do--this is not a good thing. There is nothing innovate to speak of. How many times can they redo WWII video games? There's no story line, unless you enjoy sham remakes of what really happened. There really isn't much historical fact here either.

But I guess most people that play this junk are too fat and lazy to open an actual text book to learn what really happened.

This game does not look like he game they show on the commericals. The graphics are pretty but is that all the 360 can do?? The gameplay is the same as previous versions. zzzzzzzzzzzz
Disappointed in the system overall. I don't think a casual gamer would buy a 360.

Bugged game coupled with Worst AI in console history

First of all, Activision allowed a severely flawed game to be released. If you beat the tanks mission then save and exit, your save file will be corrupted and you will lose hours and hours of work. You must play through that mission and the next one in the same sitting in order to retain your progress.

Second, you have a computer-controled team assisting you, which is great, but the enemies don't shoot at them unless they are already out in the open, and YOU are nowhere in sight. If you are in sight, all enemies are shooting at you and you alone. A fun way to prove this is to wait until you get to a section of the game where there is a lot of shooting between both sides. Now run off and find a quiet spot to hide. After about 10 seconds, you will hear ALL SHOOTING STOP. Just walk back over into the area and allow yourself to be within eyeshot of where an enemy's un-hidden position. (yes, all enemies have ESP and can sense you through walls) When you do this, enemies will once again come out of the woodwork and start shooting again, but only at you of course.

I have found the best way to beat this game is to move on line with the rest of your squad, then strafe back and forth behind them, never firing a single shot. This makes sure the enemies keep popping up so your teammates can shoot them.

It is absolutely 100% possible to beat this game without firing a single shot. You just have to know how to manipulate the completely worthless AI.

Outstanding graphics, however... This is the only reason I give it 2 stars.

Call of Duty 1.1

This is not call of duty 2 but more like call of duty 1.1 or call of duty 1 plus. They say the xbox360 is capable of so more but this game does not look like that good when i saw it on tv I was I am definitely going to get that game so I was so let down it look like the xbox version not the 360 version if you have a 360 do not get this game but if you have a xbox 1 then buy the xbox version .The game is not bad but the 360 version just does not look all that good..

Review of Xbox Live features of this game...

First, the gameplay in Xbox live is excellent. No major glitches and shots are realistic based on the weapon you choose. You can literally pick any gun and get good with it on any level.

Now, for the bad. This game needs an Xbox Live patch BAD!!

Apparently Activision wasn't aware that Xbox live exists until a couple weeks before they released this game :)

If you are interested in playing mainly the online version of this game I would recommend holding off until/if they upgrade the live gameplay for the following reasons:

1. The host is apparently chosen by random so most games lag really bad.

2. When you are with a good host, you can only play in the one round and then the game shuts down and you have to go find another host. There is no option for a host to set up a room and continually host games. After each game, the room closes down and must be re-setup. I have a business internet connection and can host maximum number of players without lag but there is no option for me to establish myself as host. I may randomly get selected only if there is not another room already set up to join.

3. There is really no point of a friends list in this game. I enjoy playing with friends. However, since every room is shut down at the end of a round, it's pretty much impossible to play with the same group of people for more than one round at a time. After the round you are stuck trying to find another game with no lag (about 1 in 3 have no lag) then invite your friends in (if there is room) only to have the room close down again after the round. Then try to keep your sanity and repeat the steps above. Seriously, I only get about 10 good minutes of game play for every 30 minutes I spend trying to find a room

4. There is a VERY ANNOYING issue with trying to reconnect to a new game if you leave a game in progress. I routinely get a "Cannot Connect" error for about 5 minutes after leaving a game. I don't want to leave games but have to due to heavy lag. Very frustrating.

5. About 1 game in 10 I get connected to the WRONG GAME FORMAT. I'll choose to play a Team Deathmatch and get connected to a Capture the Flag game.

Finally - if you are not interested in Xbox Live, this is an AWESOME game. However, if you are, it appears Activision did not do their homework prior to releasing this game to determine the standard features that gamers like when playing live.

Multiplayer issues

Pros:
Best graphics of any first person shooter on the 360
Excellent feeling of atmosphere.
Great use of sound positioning (You'll here the footsteps of enemies which is of great use online, rain sound diminishes when going in doors, outdoor and indoor footsteps.)
Sharp texture quality
Immersive single player mission (jaw dropping mission in the midst of a rain storm)
Large multiplayer maps where 70 - 80 % of buildings can be entered.
Detailed multiplayer maps. Multiplayer maps provide plenty of objects for cover.
Buildings of large size. Some are two stories with about 6 rooms.
Multiplayer map design and fighting system force you to find cover and discourages the run and gun style.
Far draw distances.

Cons:
Multiplayer system is full of errors and bugs.
Some lobbies can take 10 to 15 minutes to load.
Once you get into a game the frame rate can drop to 10 to 20 fps.
Cannot choose your own map.
It is taking to long to release the multiplayer patch!
Single player missions can be lost from time to time.
For every 5 games played 3 have significant lag and loading problems.
Too much emphasis on sniper weapon in the multiplayer games.
No sub-options for the multiplayer games. You can only choose what type of the multiplayer you want such as Capture the Flag, Headquarters, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and from there no other options can be set.
Some issues with jumping into windows.
When the multiplayer runs well there is no lag and the frame rate can hit 40 to 60 fps.
True Ranking system seems to be a hidden mystery.

Final words:
I would recommend not buying this game until you here of a solid update that fixes the multiplayer issues. At the same time the multiplayer (when it works well) is more immersive than any other fps that I've played. The mechanics have a feel of Medal of Honor on the Xbox but improved to a degree. The fact that this game only uses 1 of 3 cores and still looks great is a hint of things to come.

Tips:
If you want to win in multiplayer you have to use the Sniper rifle.
Bend down when you enter a building because the enemy will hear your footsteps.
Never stay in one place for too long.
Don't focus too much on what's near you, focus in the distance and in windows of buildings.
Always look behind you frequently.

My Rating:
7.2 out of 10
If multiplayer was improved w/ more options:
8.8 out of 10
