Get ready to blast those extra pounds off!

This is the greatest weapon against those unwanted pounds. Just plug that baby in, and dance. For people who are totally new to this game, there is a beginers mode to teach you the basics. When you're ready you can work your heart to the max, with heavy mode. All the songs are really good. My personal favorite is Still in my Heart. The hardest song is Max300. This game is so fun, you even won't think you're working out. So get off your fat ass, and by this! ( The dancepad is sold sepretly, but you're not surprised right?)

DDR Max 2

DDR Max 2 is a great game, it has new songs, new modes (like challenge), and new step patterns. The game doesn't have as many techno songs as DDR Max, but it has all new challenge steps that usually don't have Freeze Arrows. If you are really into this game I would suggest a Red Octane dance pad or a metal one. Foldable Pads slib and bunch when you do more difficult songs, and also you get a better feel if you want to play it in the arcade.

Great way to spend time with my teenage son

This game is an awesome product. We have two dance pads at my house, so my teenage son and I can play together. I play on light mode, he plays on Heavy, and we have a great time together. The workout mode is excellent when playing by yourself for exercise. This is the only type of exercise that I can't wait to play!! Even when he is grounded from all other video games, he is allowed to play this one because he gets so much excercise from it. He loves the game as much as I do. One nit: cannot play two-player in exercise mode. Thus, you have an annoying end sequence to cycle through after every five games. Other than that, the game rocks. Highly recommended.

Better than DDR Extreme?

Wow! Konami really did a great job in producing DDR Max 2. This is the best DDR mix by far with many advantages and hardly any disadvantages. Max 2 is even better than the more recent DDR Extreme. With its many plusses, I had to review this excellent game.

By the way, if you don't know how to play DDR, this is a game where you put your feet on your mat/stage's arrows at the right time. You want to step on the arrows just as the labeled arrow of the same direction is inside of an outlined arrow. The game gives an excellent workout while being very fun at the same time.

DDR Max 2 has some of the best songs ever to exist in DDR. The licensed songs are more familiar than that of the other mixes, including Days Go By, Heaven, Let's Groove, and more. Two Be For U songs exist on the game, which is nice because they're probably the best Konami original artists to me. DJ Nagureo songs are very limited, and most of the Naoki songs are excellent. I love Hysteria 2001 and Xenon, and there seem to be no horrible songs on the game. If there's any disadvantage about the songs in DDR Max 2, it would be the limited amount of Paranoias and Trip Machines. There aren't any new mixes of those songs, and DDR Max 2 only has the first remixes of them. Konami should've at least put Paranoia Eternal on this installment. Fortunately, both remixes are good and make up for it.

The new features are also excellent, including the Nonstop and Endless modes. The Nonstop mode is a way to play where you dance to more than one song in a row without a break, while the Endless mode is similar but goes on until you lose. Both modes are excellent for exercising, and are overall pretty fun to play. DDR Extreme's new features are inferior, including the childish Party mode and frustrating Mission mode.

Just look at the pros and cons of the game compared to other mixes:

Pros:

- Good song selection
- Good new features
- Highly rated

Cons:

- No new Paranoias or Trip Machines

By the way, the pros are all major and the con is only minor.

If you want to buy Dance Dance Revolution, or even any game in existence, buy DDR Max 2 immediately. Not only is Dance Dance Revolution an amazing game that's both extremely fun and provides good exercise, but DDR Max 2 is the best installment. It still holds the highest sales rank of any DDR mix, even higher than DDR Extreme, which still makes perfect sense.

Really, I mean BUY IT. I used to be lazy, but after I started getting into DDR, I suddenly became super athletic and enjoyed my life much more than before my introduction to DDR. DDR changes your life. DDR is wonderful. DDR is the best thing that ever happened to me. I recommend this game to absolutely anyone.

BUY DDR NOW!

Best music game yet

I only started playing this game a few weeks ago while visiting my cousins, and ended up spending a large portion of my time there playing it. Make no mistake, once you are fairly decent at any of the DDR games, it can turn into an addiction.

You play DDR by "dancing" to the beat of one of many songs. You use a dance pad (sold separately) with four arrows: up, right, down, and left. On the screen, arrows progress up from the bottom to the four flashing still arrows at the top. When the appropriate arrow reaches the corresponding still arrow, you must step on that arrow on the dance pad. As you move to harder songs/levels, the songs might have a faster beat, requiring you to move more quickly, or to step on multiple arrows at once. If you have multiple pads, you can even compete against a friend.

DDR is a great opportunity to exorcise and have fun at the same time. The game even has a workout mode, where you can keep track of about how many calories you're burning. You will have to buy a dance pad though, and one that won't leave you tempted to throw your PS2 out the window can cost about as much as the game. You can always go to an arcade and try out the original game first; most arcades have them. DDR is THE game for anyone who likes the tap their feet to music.

Greatest game ever made!

If you want to learn dance moves with you hands and feet and the moves that actually explain what the song is saying you wouldn't want this. However if you want exercise or you want to get on your feet then you would certainly consider getting this game. It has many hit songs and is a great way to exercise and you will get caught playing this thing for HOURS!!!The DDRMAX2 game is entertaining and fun and I promise you will never get bored of it even whwn your a teen, Because in arcades you can still see teens doing the arcade mode. YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!!!!

Yowsers. Best one yet

What can I say that hasn't already been said. This game rocks. Its the most fun I've had yet. I'd say it's even better than Max2 japanese version.

For example, the Whistle Song actually has a video playing in the background instead of the goofy rabbit jumping up and down.

If you are going to buy any DDR game in the US, get this one.
