This game while pretty in some points suffers from some moments of stereotypical dialogue (cop moaning about his ex, kid and the rest of the world being less important than his job). I wish the encounters would have been a bit more open ended than the location oriented encounters in the early parts of the game. I like being able to bulk up a bit before a baddie

The story begins in New York City where Aya (main character) gose to an opera when all heck breaks loose. The people turn to ooz and the main actress Eve, turns into a powerful creature. This game follows a 3rd person "shooter". Although you do not go running around blasting all you see, you do get a chance to fight off hidous creatures by stragizing weapon useage and ammo conservation. You also aquire the knownlage of PE and gain great powerful attacks. You get deep into the story as you learn that Aya is part of the whole thing. The Mitochandria HAS YOU......

This game has a awsome story line and great graphics! It is kinda like a RPG and a Action game in one. The battle screen is itnerusting and so are the vidios in it, thay are very realistic and graphic! The only thing that disapointed me in this game was that the game play hours were not that long and that is pretty rare by a game that is built by Square Soft. If you like Science Fiction movies then you will love this game! The story line in it is more like a movie then a vidio game but Square always has the best story lines if you ask me!

Now i got this game for christmas and at first i thought it was not gonna be any good but i started playing it and i loved it it mixed my 2 favorite games, resident evil and final fantasy 8. I also love that you can dodge enemy fire while battling. the storyline is great and the puzzles are fun. As for those "I'm pretty sure how to play an RPG" Gamers, GIVE IT A CHANCE! you'll really like it.

Parasite Eve may not be as long as some die hard RPG fans may wish it be, but it is a good title. I felt that it was such a good game, but it's less than epic finishing time can leave you wanting more. The graphics were exceptionally good, but the FMV's were astounding. Although the FMV's were often very gruesome, I felt the blood and gore was often very realistic. The only other two complaints I have are that the battle field during battles was often limiting. I often found myself getting trapped in a corner by the enemy. The other thing is that I felt that voice would have added alot to the game.

This game is SWEET.

Parasite Eve is awesome! It takes place in the Big Apple and revolves around Aya Brea, a cop, and starts in Carnagie Hall. The game has a good solid story line, the only problem is that it might be confusing for some people. The cinema is the best that I have ever seen in a game. I feel it beats Final Fantasy 7's cinema, but you might disagree with me. The PRG elements are easy to understand, which makes this game a good game for beginning role players, the elements are also very unique, allowing you to customize Aya and her equipment, which is very sweet. Some problems I felt the game had were that it was too short. I bought it on a Friday and had it beat 10 hours later. The monsters were cool but fighting the same thing over and over sucks. Well I don't want to spoil the game anymore, so go out and buy the game.

Parasite Eve is kind of a cross between A role playing game and Resident Evil. The graphics are good, and overall it is a fun game to play. My first couple of plays on this have kept me glued to the screen for 3 hours at a time. My only problem with this game is the same I have with any RPG, once you beat it, you will be ready to trade it in for something else. Otherwise, its a great game...fun to play. ........its worth it!

This is one of my very favorite games. I rented it many times before I actually bought it, becuase i figured i missed so much the first few times i wanted it to own for myself. so my review...;) it's a role playing game, on the same idea as final fantasy, but the battle system is different. it takes a little while to get used to the menus and learning how to combine weapons was a little tricky for me. there are some really graphic parts, like mutating mice, that are a little sick! course it adds to the story, and makes it interesting. a good gamer can beat this game in less than a week, but luckily the game has an EX mode that is harder and has a new area, and it's tougher so the game doesnt lose its edge. if it wasnt so short and the main character could run a little faster (that's SO exasperating!) then it would have gotten five stars.

Well, for a ground-breaking "cinematic RPG" which supposedly defies the bounds of all previous RPG genres, I found Parasite Eve to be lacking.

Good stuff: -The plotline is enticing enough to keep me moving throughout the game, hoping for some kind of conclusion. -The FMV is all very nicely done, given the date of creation. -Battle system IS actually very different from most other RPGs out there, especially ones made by Square. -The weapons & armor system (assemble/disassemble with tools, supertools, etc) is fun to toy with and very easy to learn.

Bad stuff: -There is no conclusion to the plotline. -The game is far too easy. I clocked myself at beating it in 7 hours, 9 minutes (not straight game time, broken up over a week). I never experienced a challenging section. -Very little strategy involved in fighting: just point, shoot, kill, heal when needed. I expected more from a 3d environment game with different ranges of weaponry, etc.

Get the game if you're a Square fan, or if you enjoy RPGs in general. But if you're looking for a good action/RPG combo, get something along the lines of Vagrant Story, or even Zelda 64.

Gameplay= boring as hell...

graphics= amazing

story= what rpg's are all about

I found this game a little to short compared to other rpg (15+ hours). the battle system and gameplay was not to fun either.

But in the areas this game lacks, it more then makes up for in the story department.
