Parasite Eve was not only exciting and good looking, it was mind engulfing. If your looking for an RPG that will keep you locked in your room without modern society and just a joystick, then this is definitely the game for you.

High School Science Just Got More Interesting.

I purchased this game solely on its amazing TV commercial. I never quite enjoyed Resident Evil, but this is more than mere clone. For instance:
It incorporated real facts. Whole theory about Mitochondria Eve is well preserved and used very well to give otherwise straight forward storyline.
Battle system is more RPG-like than action game. I've been playing RPG extensively, so this battle system came natural. Also, if you are not good at hand-on combat style, this battle system gives you breathing room to make your decision.
It doesn't hurt to include gorgeous FMV, and preview disc.
All told, this game is definately worth shot, at least for renting.

Alright, I admit it. I'm 12. BUT, I can handle things like this game. I don't regard it as highly as i did when I was 5-7 years old, but I still love it. Yet somehow, I'm appalled. Its grotesque appearance and people spontaneously combusting may sound horrible, but once you know the story, it gets far better that you ever expected. The FMV sequences are astounding, it is favorably disturbing, it has the most intricate storyline I have ever seen (polar opposite of Quake 2!), AND it is extremely better than it's sequel. I'm glad I own it! Oh, and don't forget:

THE WORST FOE LIES WITHIN THE SELF...

this game was good but it was lacking. i loved the cut scenes and I'll tell you theres lots of them and they're very detailed. The battle system is good and upgrading weapons is quite original. but the dialogue is what really brings down the game. it take forever to get through a message. they really should have added voices. the pace is way too slow. also squaresoft is known for great stories and character developement but this ones just lame. it took me less than 10 hours for me to beat it.i liked it but WAY to short. it was good but like said not great.

A true classic!, i really love the story and it kept me on my feet and wanting more. To me, this is one of PS1 best games in a long time in the RPG section.

Amazing graphics, excellent gameplay and an intriging storyline make "Parasite Eve" one of the best games ever available. Our hero is fantastic, and the views of New York are amazing.

This game is one of the best games that I have played on the PLaystation console. It has a brilliantly intricate storyline with many twists to keep you surprised here and there, and the fact that all of the science in it is real just makes your blood turn in to ice.(i am doing this research in school).The smooth cut scenes are grizly, with a lot of blood and goop to get you creeped to the point of no return. The battle system is original, and it is really good because there will be a lot of enemy attacks in the last two parts that you will defineitly want to avoid. Dont get me wrong, there are the drawbacks: 1. This game is too short. It took me about 10 1/2 hours to beat it. 2. The final bosses (eves 3, 4, ultimate being stages 1-4) are the easiest bosses in the game, similar to Zelda. Overall, this game is excellent. I would reccommend it to any RPG/Action gamer. And hey, its from Squaresoft-how can you compare to that?

I have always wanted to play parasite eve because i have heard great things. When i first went through the first day, i couldn't believe it. Not only was i moved and stunned when i completed the game but i was certain that parasite eve was a gold mine. A story like no other, parasite eve is a natural in the field of originaliy and not to mention the story that goes along. An RPG Shooter will always be a great combination that squaresoft has created and i hope that there will be plenty more where that came from.

Parasite Eve was my first game for my PS1 system and I do not, in any way, regret getting this awesome game! Yes, the game is short, but there's still the ex-game to play (which is no different other than you get to visit the Chrysler Building and try to unlock the second ending). My favorite thing about this game are the awesome MVP's of animals changing into mutant monsters. This game is a must-buy for all Playstation gamers! This game gets 5 *S*T*A*R*S!

This is my favorite video game. When I first played this game, I had never played an RPG before. Now they are ny favorite genre. I love how facinating the whole idea of our mitochondria dominating us.And Aya is cool!BUY THIS GAME! The worst foe lies within the self......
