the worst game ive ever played,very weak weapons and by the way can only be used when eve reaches a certain enery level. if your a re fan you'll probably hate this boring weak, weak game.i never completed game stupid and boring.

Don't let anyone fool you; Parasite Eve is pure eye candy. The game itself is extremely sub-par, and most of it you will spend watching FMVs. If that's your idea of a good game, fine, but I'd call this more of a movie than a game.

Parasite Eve is a wonderful rpg. A great plot and simplistic gameplay offers a breath of fresh air to those seeking an alternative to the heavey duty rpg like FF8. I highly recommend it.

Alot of people thing Parasite Eve is crappy. What they don't realize is how well put together this game actually is. The story: You are Aya Brea, a New York cop. You are on a date with your dream guy and he takes you to an opera. As the show goes on, suddenly people begin bursting into flames around you. Taking the inititive, you persue the attacker. You discover that the mitochondria inside our bodies have begun to revolt. You are the only who can stop them. The story seems, at first glance, to be completly uninspired. Even the main character's name is kinda lame. But as the story unfolds, the plot twists and turns like a serpent, leading to the final conflict between Aya and the Ultimate Being. I was turned off the first time I played it. The puzzles can be a bit difficult at times, mainly because items you interact with are occasionally hard to manipulate or even see. For instance, I was stuck at the end of the 1st disc because I couldn't find the door that would allow me to leave the water filtration center. But all in all, this game is fun. There is even a good amount of replay value because once you beat the game, you gain access to the Crysler building which is 100 floors of enemies. Once you beat that, you are givin the oppertunity to fight with the true boss of the game, the original Eve. Once you beat her, then the true end of the game you will see. Don't knock this game. It has an impressive fighting system that was used for Vagrent Story. This is a game for fans of Survival Horror and RPG's.

Please, give me a break. It's only short if you sit in front of your PSX for 3 days straight. Then it'll seem short. This game is one helluva RPG. The abilities, the weapons, and the graphics. The plot is rather interesting once you find out what is basically going on, you'll understand everything that happens around you. Then, the battle structure is very cool. The graphics are ASTOUNDING. And the magic abilities are nicely done. During battles, you can run anywhere that is on that screen, because that's the field. (you can run away when you're ready if you want) It's uses the popular charge bar, but in PE you only get to attack in a certain range. So if the you're not close to an enemy, you're SOL. Then the graphics. The FMVs are SO nicely done, and the characters in game are nearly as good. Like Adventures or RPGs? BUY THIS GAME.

Probably one of the most "Must Have" RPG games out there. Filled with great graphics, action, plot, and of course, weapons. I could not stop playing this game, its very intense, and moment by moment u want to find out who Eve is.

Parasite Eve is a good game.. Its more easier to control compare to Resident Evil.. And I really like the story, its like watching a movie. You have to play the game first in order for you to understand the story.. I already finish the game but I just started on the EX-GAME.. I cant wait for the sequel...The japanese version is already out and the US version will be out probably this fall.... Remember "The worst foe lies within the self"

Would you walk faster?

This game is pretty cool, but I think it could be better. First of all the main character needs to walk faster. It takes way too long to get somewhere. The graphics are amazing, as well as the sound. I look forward to getting the sequel and examine the changes.

Before you fanatics about this game send me hate mail like you might for all those who give this game lower than three stars, hear me out.

I found many downers in this game, but to soften the blow, I will elaborate on the plusses first.

Okay, you want the ultimate drawing board idea for a battle sequence? Well, here you go; the whole blueprint for the interface is brilliant. Also, I will agree that all those that say the plot is either lacking or just plain awful are wrong! I thought that the plot was exellent, esspecailly considering the size of the game. I also liked the movie like music, and the graphics, esspecially the cinemas, are superb.

However, I think that the gameplay was butchered, even worse than that of Shadow Madness. Also, the navigation is hard with the background camera angles, the walking and running are slow, and the bosses are too hard unless you've mastered the ability of the tool (I have not). Lastly, I will also state that after liking the music, I got the soundtrack, and found it to be hightly lacking in overall originality in composistion. While highly movie like, it had almost no purely listening only qualities.

Let's just finish off by saying that this game should have become one of the movies that Square Pictures is going to make (after the FF movie), but as a game on top of the extrordinatry cinematic aspects, I found it missing some.

I love this game. It makes sense (you'll need to pay A LOT of attention mind you), the cutscenes are very well designed the characters are brilliant, the monsters are very creative (no offense whatsoever to the other review but there are no zombie dogs those are rats), and the story is incredible. I would reccomend this game to anyone who is alive and breathing. The Playstation Greatest Hits version is cheaper by around 10 bucks (or it's supposed to be) and the original tends to be out of stock all over. I'm 14. I...uh, oops. Now buy it and have a great day. +_+
