run,jump, and kick

YOU HAVE TO GET IT OR AT LEAST TRY IT! It is the best game on Earth.They have the fastest characters in the world.They have Luigi, Samus, Captain Falcon, Yoshi, Pikachu, Jiglypuff, and Donkey Kong.It's even possible to throw someone across or off the screen!

Let the smashing and bashing begin!

I loved this game! Even a person scared of fighting could enjoy it cuz it's more like cartoon fighting! This game has it all: action, hidden levels, bonuses, etc. My friend and I couldn't stop playing it. My fave character is Kirby cuz he's got a two great special attacks (turning into a brick and chucking a boomerang thing) and he can swallow his opponent and steal their power. (Like if Kirby ate Pikachu, he'd get thundershock). My friend got mad at me cuz I kept eating her character! Kirby's also got the power of flight, so if you're about to lose a life, you can puff up and fly back. Finally Kirby's got this cool grapple attack that destroys the opponent and anyone else who gets in the way! Anyway, here's something about the other characters:

Mario/Luigi: Special attacks (down + B, up + B): Coin-up, HurricanePunches Jumping Ability: Moderately good Regular Attacks (B, A): Fireball, Punch Rating: 7.5

Donkey Kong: Special attacks (down + B, up + B): Earthquake, Spinning Punch Jumping Ability: Terrible Regular Attacks (B, A): Kong Punch, Regular Punch Rating: 7

You shouldn't buy this game-if you don't like fighting with Nintendos famous characters in simple 2D graphics. It's extremely fun in the versus mode. There are four hidden characters. To get Jigglypuff just finish the game in any difficulty. To get Luigi complete all eight standard characters "break the targets". To get Cp. Falcon finish the game under 20 minutes. To get Ness finish the game in normal difficulty with three life. My best character is Yoshi. It's a fun game!

A great fighting game

It's about time Nintendo released a fighting game featuring some of the most popular Nintendo mascots, and it couldn't have been done much better. It has all of Nintendo's most popular icons such as Mario, Kirby, Samus, Donkey Kong, and many others. There's also a few Pokemon fighters thrown in for extra value.

What I really liked about "Super Smash Brothers" is the replay value. The game has great graphics, control, sound, and it's a lot of fun. But the replay value is what makes it stand out from a lot of the other Nintendo 64 fighting games. By beating the game in certain ways and by clearing all the bonus levels, you can get hidden characters, such as Luigi. However, playing 2 player is what really makes the replay value stand out. You might get tired of beating "Super Smash Brothers" in one player, but you'll never get tired of playing two player.

If you like fun fighting games, I recommend getting "Super Smash Brothers." Just watch out because your thumbs might get blisters from playing it so much.

Greatest multiplayer game of all time

The beauty of this game is that it does not have any complicated moves that require you to use your fingers and toes to press all the buttons you need. It is easy to start playing, and yet impossible to master, despite your constantly thinking that you have. The single-player mode is only worth playing to get the secret characters. Smash Brothers is great because of the multi-player, and do not sell the game short by playing with any less than four people. There are so many subtle tricks and techniques to develop for yourself (and these are not button combinations, but instead, what you can do with an item or where you can throw someone), and you'll need them to keep up with your friends. Do you know about the Donkey Kong Suicide Kill? Or the Bumper Throw of Death? I believe this game has the potential to keep you interested for at least 3 years. I also recommend gluing it in to your nintendo 64 to make sure you don't lose it.

My kids pay this game more than any other...

This game is the one my kids play more than any other on their Nintendo. They have other games, they rent other games, but they keep coming back to this one.

They like the two player option. They like the challenge (they're not teens yet). They like the many characters that can be chosen from different games. They like being able to set their and the opponent's skill levels. They just love this game!

I personally wish it were a little less violent, but compared to other games out there, this is a teaparty. So if you're a parent looking for a fun game that will give your kids hundreds of hours of play and one they won't get tired of, buy this game.

Great Nintendo characters come together.

If you you're a nintendo fan, and you like fighting games, then you came to the right place. All your favorite characters have come together for an all out "smash"! There's Mario, Fox,Kirby,Donkey Kong, Link, Samus Aran,Yoshi, and last but not least, Pikachu. And plus there are four bonus characters you'll have to find, then can play! Either go into the one player mode, or the vs. mode where you can play aganist three other friends! No blood, or guts here,but just plain good chartoon bashing. So much fun, you'll be coming back for more!

This is a all around great game. It has awesome characters, the moves are sweet, and it is really fun multiplayer. I would like to see an expansion that would have more characters like bowser, toad, lupus (jet force geminy), and some other guys, and to have more arenas. Other than that, it rocks.

Buy this, and your N64 has become immortal

I say that because you cannot lose complete interest in this game.

The main feature is its Multiplayer mode. The idea is a simple "King-Of-The-Hill" game where you throw others of the platform while keeping your own ground. And with four players playing, there's bound to be some serious fun. However, the moves are all set to pressing B or just Up+B. No confusing moves to remember or circling of the control-stick. A 5 year old child can become a master of the game.

Not only that, but the one-player games are great too. Beat your way through several different fights and mini games to win. Also, if you complete certain tasks, you may win different options and characters!

My advice is if you have a bunch of friends (yound or old, boys or girls, gamers or non-gamers) and you want all of you to enjoy a game. Get this one. In a few minutes you'll all be double-jumping and back-throwing each other to infinite.
