I've played this game and I am astonished with the excellent graphics, sound, gameplay controls, and replay value. This game took a long time to come out, and I think that the quality of the game shows you why it did. My mother thought there had to be a catch: something had to be killed in one part of the game. Nothing suggested violence of any kind! This game is perfect for famalies to play together. It has a certain sweetness that many games are lacking nowadays. There are many aspects of the game: Raising crops and animals, bringing the farm up to a stable and profitable business, being active in the community and making friends, budgeting your cash so you have enough, and finding true love with one of the five ladies available to you. You even get married and have a child! This game is wonderful, and I'm sure it will set some new standards for today's new games. I hope this review helped you make the choice to purchase this game. This is one of the best games I have ever played. I get Nintendo Power magizine and I came Harvest Moon and it looked OK so I read it and it ended up being at the top of my wish list. Me and my sister keep fighting over who's going to play right then.

O.K. I didn't buy the game yet (I rent befor buy). So, I looked around and around for reviews and found stars after stars after stars and I never saw an artical that said something bad about the game, NEVER! The thing is, of all that reading I have no idea know how to get sick of it like the other games I played. The game goes on and on. What I would do after I beat it (like I would) I'd show it to my friends and they'll be amazed that I beat it. But I'll be 300 years old by then and I my only friends would be the people in the game :-).One more thing(or 50), is the girls. The point of the game. To find your one true love out of the 5: Maria, Elli, Popuri, Ann, or Karen. I'd pick Maria or Ann. The funny thing is that it's like real life. You have an enemy. The other guy likes her too. Or the easier way, becoming friends, then going up the scale. I like that in a game, having it real. But there is some magic (::cough:: through small fish near the fisherman...). Over all, it looks like a great game and I'm going to buy it after I test it. I almost forgot! Visit some other pages cuz they'll give you great info on it. One other detail, it might suprise you, but I'm a little 12 year old kid! Anyway.....HM64 WILL RULE! ( I feel like saying "PEACE OUT" or "BEATLES RULE"

I have a magazine that reviews games and gives you codes and tips for the Game Boy Color and the Nintendo 64. I fell in love with this game ever since they reviewed it. I was looking for a game that wasn't a killing or adventure game, just something real. Harvest Moon is certainly real. I have gotten the Game Boy Color game, and I have been saving up money to get Harvest Moon 64. The only way I have expierienced it was by renting it. I rented it and soon I couldn't stop playing it. The coolest feature, though it may be a bit sexist, is a factor in which you try to woo a wife. You are a male player and you try to get a woman to marry you, whether it's by offering them gifts of flowers, or just going to the library more. Some of them are harder than others, and none of them are pushovers. You can also grow vegetables, buy cows and sheep, and go to festivals! The festivals are a great time. I think that Harvest Moon, of any kind, is something you should add to your collection.

I haven't bought the game yet, but I read about it in a Nintendo Power magizine. It sounds like a fantastic game! Here is the story, the player's grampa has left the player a farm with no crops or animals and it's your job to clear the land, buy seeds and livestock, and even marry a girl, Karen, Amy, Potpori, and a few others and you can even have kids! You can buy tomatoes, strawberrys, eggplant, and many others. You start out with a dog, which you can name. You can buy other animals like horses, cows, sheep, and chickens. While your crops are growing you can go into town and take part in many festivals, like the swimming festival, or the New Year's Eve party. I think this game is going to be very fun, so that's why I ordered it right away!

Wow! I was totally amazed when I saw how large the game enviromnment was! There are a total of about 25 festivals, including swimming races, horse races, and bake festivals too!. This is a totally awesome game!

With the exception of Pokemon Stadium (& Snap) and Zelda, this is the best game ever. It may not look like fun, but once you start to play it, you wont want to quit! This is good as the GB and SNES version, no, better! It takes the best stuff from both games, and a ton of new stuff! It say this is one of my most favorite games of all time! I recommend you buy it immediately!

Harvest Moon 64 is a great game. You live on a farm plant crops, raise animals and get married. Sounds like a dumb game you might say to yourself. Well, that's what i thought too, until I rented it. It is one of the best games ever. Actually the whole Harvest Moon series is great. Remember never judge a book by it's cover. Or in this case never judge a game by it's case.

I wish I lived in Harvest Moon Land

Alrighty. How do I begin to describe such a perfect-on-all-levels video game? Well, first of all, I found out about this game from a magazine review. When I read the words "farm" and "cow" I knew this was the game for me. I all truthfulness, most people glance at the cover of this game and pass it by, hoping for something more action-packed and bloody and gruesome. But even if you ARE one of those people looking for a thrilling adventure, you're going to get it in Harvest Moon.

The story is this: your grandfather dies, leaving you his pathetic, decrepit little farm on the coast, along with the dog. You get to name the dog. You also get to clear away the entire field, which is covered in weeds, stumps and rocks. This is the only boring part in the game. But some prefer to skip this tedious work, and go directly to the nextdoor ranch, where you will pick up your sweet little baby horse for free. there you will meet ann, the rancher's daughter. she's a nice gal.

Over all, you get to care for your horse, your dog, your crops, buy chickens, sheep and cows, and care for them too. It's genuinely fun, because so many things can happen, depending on what you do. If you give the bartender some food, he'll give you a bottle of wine. then if you feed the sprites mushrooms, they'll tell you to go to the goddess pond in the mountains. the goddess will suggest you restore the Vineyard. It is one fun thing after another.

I apologize for the length of this review, but I assure you, you will not be bored by this wonderful game. It's farming on a whole new level. Plus the animals are really cute. Just don't leave your dog in the bathroom; you'll never get him back.

I think that no matter what other people say Harvest Moon is one of the best games in the world! Sure it's considered an RPG and it's about farming...but it's still awesome. You get to raise chickens, cows, a horse a dog and crops! Not to mention that you could get married to one of the five possible wives. I think this game is alot of fun. The characters each have they're own personality. If you don't have this game bye it know 'cause time's a waste'in!
