boring but good

This game is boring but it has a appeal to it that most other games don't even touch on. You might think a farming game this is for hicks and strange people. But try it in the morning at like 9:00 and it is boring at first but then you start to bulid your house attachments and then get a green house (which is the best thing to buy) and you get married and get the the thing the way you want it and guess what? It's like 2:00 at night and your just amazaed that this boring game took that much time out of your weekend or whatever. Just buy or rent it and try but your friends or even your mom or dad or brother might hog it.

I've not played this game since it's not out yet, but I read Nintendo Power and I like this kind of game. No blood, no violence, but you need to be patient, quick, and tolerant. Courting a woman, gaining popularity, raising animals, growing plants, I recommend this game to everyone!

Harvest moon to me, like many others, is a good game for many reasons other than gameplay. The feeling of complete freedom is such a rare expierience in the realm of video games. And the idea of having another life, a dgital one, is crisp like always. But what is it SPECIFICALLY that satisfies me about this game? There is always alot to do. Somewhere between training your horse, cleaning, weeding, and sowing your garden during the spring fall and summer, and mining and collecting wood during the winter. Helping build a spa, finding a bride, and having a child, Im sure youll find SOMETHING to occupy yourself with. Also, the game provieds an air of nostalgia, and a feeling of warmth, and community no other game provides. In my honest opinion, this game is worth every second of searching it will take you to find it, and every penny you'll spend. This is an awesome game. Okay, all you people that don't like farm games and are into action games and racing games and sports games, I do not think that you should buy or rent this game. But, if you are like me and you are just looking for a game that you can play anytime you want, a game that is challening but not frusterating, and a game with TONS of different options, then this game is it!
When I first heard about this game I said, "Dad, I have to have this." I was sick of all of our old games like the baseball games and the racing games. They're fun, but they get boring. Anyways, the very next day I went out and bought Harvest Moon 64, and let me tell you, when I first plugged it in I was like, WOW, this game rocks. Aside from the fact that I LOVE games where I get to name my character and all of that good stuff, this game also lets you do your own thing. You don't have to follow a certain plot line - it's all what you want.
I'm not saying this game is perfect- no, that would be unfair if I said that. They're are three flaws in this game that I noticed, and none of them are all that significant:
1. The music can get annoying with all of the starting and stopping that it does, but that can be fixed by simply turning the sound down.
2. There are some errors spelling-wise in the game, which makes me think it was not written carefully.
3. Once you get married and you have a baby, the baby never grows up and you can't have anymore kids.

Those were the only problems that bugged me about this game. Otherwise, it was a wonderful game that brought me countless hours of enjoyment. I have had it for three years and I still play it because there are so many things to do in it. If you buy it, you won't be sorry. If you don't buy it, you're missing out. So what are you waiting for? Get out there and buy it!!!

This game is the best game in the world. It has every thing you need in a video game if your a Harvest Moon fan already this one will be your favorte. If your not a fan I sugest renting it first.

When I first got into Harvest Moon, I got the GBC version, My mom said there was an N64 version where she got it. I looked up some stuff about it, and started saving my money. It was the best purchase I ever made. It's so much fun. I've owned the game for a year now, playing very often, and just now am finding out all the secrets to the game.You can plant all types of crops, the festivals are fun, and you have to help a girl home when she breaks her ankle. What I like is, that opposed to Harvest Moon: Back to Nature, is that the girls especially will say random things so it's not the same day after day after day. For example, when Maria was at a Yellow heart, she was very concerned about herself and not being able to say "No." She asked me if she should try to change, and she only asked me this once. This game is very challenging, especially when you try to get all the pictures!

Harvest Moon is a fun filled game that will leave you on the edge of your seat. When I first saw harvest moon over at my friend's house. I thought it was kinda childish, I'm 14. But once I actually started playing it it turned out to be my favorite game for the N64. I tested the power this game has on people with my 18 year old brother at first he thought it was lame but then he ended up playing it for 6 HOURS strait. I know this is the game for kids of all ages. I know you should buy this if your begging to get bored with the New N64 games.(i know i am) This is a older game although it still has excellent grafics. The days last about 4 min. and you can grow plants, raise animals, FLIRT WITH GIRLS, pick plants, find secrets, or just hang out with you dog. I can't even beggin to tell the power this game will have on you. BUY IT!!!

... This is the best game out there for N64. It is fun, educational, and completely addicting. I saw an ad about it in the Expert Gamer magazine. I read the whole article about it, and I decided that i just had to have it. When I finally got it, I loved it, and played it for hours straight. I have the harvest moon for gameboy, harvest moon 2 for gameboy, and harvest moon btn and they are all fun. I'm trying to get harvest moon for snes, but they are sold out everywhere. I think this game is great for people of all ages. There isn't any violence, and it teaches kids some of the responsibilities of life. I think that the town it focuses on, is completely functional. Also, I think that kids realize it is functional, because everybody works together, helps eachother, and is fully there for eachother. You should definately buy this game.

The best RPG for the N64 system!

This has to be one of my top games that I own. It seems like you can just keep on playing forever, there is no limit to what you can do! It's so much fun trying to win the heart of one of the local girls, gardening, raising money to expand your house, racing your horse, betting on other horses to win, and just walking around in general! There are so many hidden secrets too, like the elves, and the rusty music box it almost adds a hint of mystery. You feel like you're actually running the farm yourself, and can actually loose yourself in the game for hours!
