Fun!

When I first heard about this game I thought a game where all you do is plant crops sounded really boring. Then I started reading the reviews and I was curious about why everyone liked it so much so I went out and bought it. I realized that there was a lot more to it then just farming. Besides planting crops, you can also raise animals, collect things in the wood to sell or give as gifts, make friends, go fishing, collect recipies, enter animals and foods at competitions, race your horse and dog, get married, make friends, and watch your friends get married. I've played this game 5 times and it's different every time. You will definitely enjoy this game for a long time.

The story is simple. Your grandpa dies and you get his run down ranch that you visited in your childhood. You farm and raise live stock. There are five woman in the the town that you can 'woo'. If you marry one of the women you may have a kid. There is no real objective to the game. Your dad comes to visit you in the 3rd year your there to check up on you. The best upgrade from the SNES version of this game is that you can continue after your dad visits you.

One of the best games I've ever played! Even through many years of gaming experience, this is on my top ten list. You run your own farm and face many suprises and challenges a real farmer might deal with. This game has no violence of any kind and is fun for even younger children just beginning their gaming careers. Not just this game, but the whole Harvest Moon series is worth your buy!!

Pretty cool

Harvest moon gives you a chance to run your own farm; animals, plants, wife, child, constructon. Everything! After awhile it gets kind of borring so you have to try new things. Achievements take awhile but your always happy when you achieve them. I recomend ages 12-14.

This game was okay, but still scored 5 stars in my mind. For example, it had great graphics. For what N64 could do it was 5+, with its polygon graphics. It had hours of fun play too... You were supposed to bring your old granfather's farm back to life by giving extentions (kitchen, bathroom, deck, stairs, and greenhouse), add crops depending on which season (Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter, comprised of 30 days each), cute animals (sheep, chicken, horse, cow, dog, woodland animals, insects), and other decorations (pots, prizes, upgrades etc...). You could also marry someone in the game, of the opposite sex of course,(you play a boy), the lucky wooing choices are Elli, Popuri, Maria, Karen, and Ann, and have a baby with her, lucky us!

Overall, aside from SOME grammar and spelling problems, with several movies to watch this game is awesome and will attract several people to play. ENJOY!!!

HM64 rocks (WARNING, this game is very ADDICTIVE!)

This game is awe some!. The gameplay is a little slower than
a N64 gamelike Wave race but this game has great music! You play the role of a teen that just inherited his grandfather's ranch.
You have a wide variety of tools and items. There are also girls in the game you can marry and have a baby. You also get a dog and a horse. You get livestock like chickens and cows with many crops. Don't take my word for it, ask anybody that played harvest moon 64!(...)

If you've never played Harvest Moon 64 before, boy, you're in for a treat. Featuring an amazing town, with tons of events, from festivals to families, you can do so many things in a day. This game will keep you glued hour after hour, as the short days pass, and your farm expands. You can plant, raise, fish, help, play, race, and many other verbs. THis game is simply amazing, and it's hard to live without it.

One of the best Nintendo 64 games of all time

Harvest Moon has to be one of the best Nintendo 64 of all time. It may sound a little strange about running a farm, but it is really fun! You get to Marry one of 5 girls in the village ( Maria, Popuri, Karen, Elli, and Ann), participate in village festivals, and get to do all sorts of other things! The best part of Harvest Moon is that the game never ends and there are full of secrets in the game. Harvest Moon is challenging, but it is fun! Good Luck if you get the game!

When I first got this game it looked like a little kids game, cause of the graphics and music. Well it is most certainly not a little kids game, boy is that for sure. This is hard, but it is at just the right point between being way to hard, that it's not even fun, and being so easy that it's fun for the first three days until you beet it. I highly recomend this game.
