Harvest Moon 64 - Excellent game for all ages!

I had been watching for this game to come out ever since I had heard about Harvest Moon for SNES. It just sounded like a cool game ... and it is! I actually bought it for myself (the mom) but on my son's 12th birthday sleepover, 3 12-year-old boys played this game continuously - in spite of several other popular fighting, adventure, racing, etc. games that were available (one being the most sought after game around currently). They loved the whole idea of turning this farm into a profitable business, planting crops, raising livestock and adding on to the farmhouse. My 9 year-old daughter was also fighting for her turn (and she doesn't even like nintendo usually). Its a great change of pace from other games! (We like the gameboy game too!)

This game is awesome. When I first got it as a present I was not sure if I would like it. I started playing and next thing I know it's 5 hours later. Harvest Moon allows you to control all elements of your farm life. You can plant different crops in different seasons, raise numerous animals, add on to your home, go to many fun filled festivals, and even fall in love. With so many things to do this becomes a fun filled, addictive game. I would recommend this game to any RPG fan. If your not sure, go ahead and buy it. I know you'll be pleasantly surprised.

The first time I ever heard about harvest moon was in netendo power. They told about the game and even rated it. In my oppinion I think that this is one of the best games to come out on the N64. Its like your in the game! You own a hous, you go to a village, you even make money. So, if you want a game for n64 this holiday season, Harvest Moon would be your best bet.

Harvest Moon is not only fun for kids, it is fun for adults also. You inhiaret a farm and try to turn it into a rich estate. You have tools such as a hoe a watering can and axe. You can even get married and have a kid. An ausome game that is much like real life.

RPGs going in a different direction...

So one day I read in my magazine about a farming RPG.. and I was like HUH? but then I read on and found it to be one of the most interesting new titles out there.. the basics seem simple enough: farm, raise money, buy improvements.. but the festivals, search for a wife, additions to house, and assorted fun things will make this game anything but simple and everything including fun... I can't wait to play it.. and I know that this will make my top 10 RPGs list.. along with FFVII & FVIII

This is DEFINITELY the best RPG game I've ever played. unlike anything else I've played ever in my life, this game is reality based. At first I did not think much of the game, but soon discovered the fun of it. You are supposed rebuild a rundown farm after your grandpa dies. You can plant many different kinds of crops and flowers, extend your house, add a greenhouse, go to many festivals every year, and even get married and have a kid! Everything is cute and nicely laid out. And best of all, you'll never get tired of this game! I have been playing for a few months now and I can still sit and play 10 hours a day! This game is not too diffcult to learn and has lots of secrets and other cool stuff. You've gotta try it! Especially if you are a RPG fan!

This game is the best! It has cool characters and the livestock are so cute. You can get married with one of five eligable girls from the town and have a child. There are cool home extensions, like the very helpful Greenhouse, where you can grow crops that you could only grow in an other season. The scenery is really deatailed. It is also cool how people don't say the same things over and over again.

To put it simply, THIS IS A GREAT GAME!!!!!!! I first thought it was stupid. A farming sim fun? Beyond me. Then a couple years later, I learned from my best friend about what you can do. Then I got it for my wonderful midterm scores and found that it is VERY addictive. (you'll be playing it for hours and hours) You can get a girl to like you, own a horse, get house extensions, win festivals, beat your love rivals into submission, go mining, and even get married and have kid!!! Wow! much more than a farming game! you can see interesting cut scenes(minature movies), get gifts froms girls on your birthday, get your wife so mad that she'll leave, get photographs from dates with girls, So much to do so little time! (the same as the real world... I should probably be doing my homework now...) The 2 things I don't like is the world is a tad small...I like to explore. Also since I'm a girl I'd rather play as a girl, but it is sortive hard to get Harvest moon for girl... Well, this is probably the best game I've ever played, so GET OUT THERE AND GET IT ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME READING EVERY SINGLE REVIEW WHEN YOU COULD BE ALREADY BE PLAYING IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is one of the greatest RPG's out there for the N64. I have read many reviews in gaming magazines and all I can say is that this game looks sweet. If it's anything like the harvest moons from the other platforms (which I know it is)RPG fans will eat it up.Although this game is not for everyone, if your a RPG or simulation lover like myself, you'll want to get your hands on the new Harvest Moon 64 . I urge all costumers who read this to buy it now. I hope my review helped you.

Well, I'm back! My last review was more of a complimenting one, but this one tells you about the game. You have, breed(using the miracle potion, I think), and take care of cows, chickens, and sheep. You also get to have a horse and dog. If you leave your dog with this one other dog for a day, they can have puppies. You can have crops, of course, too, but I prefer animals. You can also make friends and get married. You can marry Anne, Ellie, Poupori, Maria, Karen, and, though most people don't know this, the Mayor. I don't think anyone will want to choose the Mayor, though. There also lots of festivals, like the Firefly Festival, Horse Race, Music Festival, and Cooking Festival. Some festivals have dancing. And, like I said in my other review, hearing about it you'll be like "A farming game? How stupid!" but let me assure you, you will be 100% pleased with this game.
