Some pluses, some minuses

People who want to learn to master the Nintendo controller (I always preferred using a joystick) will find it easy to learn on this game. No constant attacks from opponents (no shoot-'em-up action) make it possible to concentrate. On the other hand, this game has the most boring peripheral characters and dialogue ever seen. The best part of it is learning to allocate time and resources when raising crops and animals, which may be valuable for younger players. The rating mistakenly (I think) pegs use of alcohol as the possible offensive factor, but frequent mention of Goddess worship (it's an import, remember) and the silly chase-her-until-you-win-her stuff may upset more folks. I bought it, but I wish I'd rented it.

I thought this game was ok because sometimes it gets really fun, but sometimes it is just plain boring. I guess you can buy it for your child if they love horses or farms.

Hey wazup you have to get this game! It rocks what you can do is raise cows, chickens, and sheep. Also you can sell the chickens
then raise more chickens then sell them again. You can make your
sheep, and cows give birth. you can get married and have a kid! Also you can grow crops then sell them! That's all I have for you right now so you just get this game and find out the rest on your own!

It's a cute game.
I don't like the word cute.
It's over used. This game is fun and quite colorful. enjoy. I recommend you do some gardening this spring and summer though and play this game on the side.

The game is great. You control a Character named Jack, and you've taken over your grandpa's farm in a small village. You can plant crops, raise cattle, and raise chicens. You earn money for shipping things you make, and you can use the money to buy things such as: Seeds, Baby Cattle, Feed, Food, Home extensions, Farm gear and more. Also The village is full of people whom you can become friends with. You can even marry some of the young women and start a family. There are also many festivals and much much much more

This is the best RPG Game! Everyone says "No Zelda's the best. Plus it has two games and has at least more then one world." You know what I say "shutup! " Harvest Moon is my favorite game I have played in my life! It all started in one day when my cleaning ladies boy brought it over. I fell in love with it. It's like your becoming a father in real life. You get crops and animals to get money,you have to upgrade your house A LOT, pick your babe from five different girls named Elli, Ann(the babe), Maria, Popuri, or Karen, Festivals every month and races with dogs and horses. You will love it! It's Da' Bomb!

this game is pretty fun but it is nothing compared to the game for Gameboy ..... and the one for DS is really different so these are probably the ones i would recommend .. especially the Gameboy one.
