The Curse of Monkey Island, although for children you would think, requires much skill as to solving puzzles as well as some witty insults. I think that this is a good and challenging game for everyone, it is also very amusing.

I had a great time playing this game. It wasn't frustratingly difficult (like Myst) or too easy (like Freddie Fish) but just right for a kid who wants a challenge or an adult that doesn't want a long term commitment. The characters are wonderful. The jokes are very funny (though sometimes gross) and are woven throughout the story, puzzles, and dialogue. There were only a couple of places where I got tired of trying to figure out what to do next and only had to slip onto one of several convenient cheat websites to get unstuck. For you parents: It does include talking corpses, zombies, fortune telling, ghosts, evil curses and such, but not in a way even a kid would take seriously. It is almost completely violence free - even sword fights can only be won by whomever can make the best rhyming insults to his opponent.

This is one of the best adventure games i have ever played. This game has the best graphics and puzzles and there are two modes to choose like regular monkey and mega monkey. Mega monkey is more more puzzling. I read the walkthrough and played mega monkey. Even if u play using the walkthrough the exicitment does not go. I give this game 5 STARS

I love Lucas Arts humor. This game has very good graphics, puzzles and plot. A must have for adventure games fans.

the monkey island games are the best. I've been playing them since I was 6 and now I'm 14...I could never get enough of it.

The game is fun, and is kind of "Circle of Blood". A game of quest, and it make me laugh some time. I recomend it.

Another adventure game from Lucas Arts filled with humor, good puzzles and hours of entertainment. Hard enough for those who want to enjoy a good adventure game. The answers to the puzzles are very singular, but not exotic. I mean, you can imagine what is going on. The game is not 3D, which gives it a special taste, especially for those who don't like the 3D interfaces of the newest games. Besides, the Curse of Monkey Island has a lot of background information about the past adventures of the Monkey Island series, so that the player does not need a lot of non-available information.
Very good for those who like adventure and a good game to have in your collection.

This is probally the finest example for Monkey Island rookies to start playing at..While the other two before it were praised for their innovations and humor, the graphics are just too pixelated for many of today's gamers to take seriously..On the contrary, MI3's hand drawn artwork can still be appreciated today, as all good productions made during this time period have the anti-dated technology of plain old fashioned well drawn art to guide them..This game takes almost everything that was good about the first few and makes the generational leap to a more visually realized gaming universe..
