I played the original Monkey Island about 5 years ago. It was a great game. This is even better. The graphics are improved the puzzles are just as good and the humor is just as funny. Occasionally the puzzles are a bit confusing, but they are usually the kind that afterwards you think "Why didn't I do that before". Guybrush Threepwood is a wonderful character who leads you along on a wonderful journey that takes you all over. He always has witty remarks and funny responses. It was great seeing past characters pop up in this game. I would recommend going in order though, or else one may become quite confused. A great game, must buy if you played Monkey Island before.

This game is probably the best adventure ever. Trust me, I have played many adventures since the early 90's. CMI combines everything good from the old adventures-zany humour, great puzzles, a good interface-with modern graphics and sound.
A further plus is the compatability. It runs even on old 166 Mhz computers, giving everyone a chance to play.
To sum it up: two thumbs up and get ready for a rollicking piratey adventure, matey!

This game is third in a series, but you don't even have to know what happened in the first two games (I didn't) to have a blast with The Curse of Monkey Island! This game has everything from an evil zombie pirate to a voodoo cannonball, a cursed talking skull, a barbershop quartet (three pirates who are also barbers), a ship run by monkeys, a seven-foot-tall chicken known as El Pollo Diablo, a lactose-intolerant volcano god, and a cursed diamond ring powered by the aforementioned zombie pirate's frustration in dealing with the opposite sex. It was the funnest, funniest computer game I've ever had the luck to be able to play. DON'T MISS IT!!!!!!!
The Best all time adventure game I ever played

What Can I tell you about this game?In just one word it's simply superb! The graphics are delightful, the jokes are lots of fun, the in-game puzzles are very well though and with a balanced difficulty. There's even in the beggining of the game an option where you can choose if you want to start at a higher difficultY(Mega-Monkey, with more puzzles) or at Normal difficulty with less puzzles.Anyway, I started with Mega-Monkey and got stuck in a difficult puzzle but with some little "help" I got over it.
This game has so much good stuff to offer, that seems almost impossible to dislike it.
So,if you haven't already bought it you should go buy it straight away.
Marvellous game!
This one is already ranked high in my hall of fame games.
This is the best yet!!!

I have played each and every one of the monkey island games, but this one takes the cake. It by far has the best music and the best plot. Even though the 4th one is 3D, the Curse of Monkey Island also beats it in graphics.
Long Live Murray!!

One of the funniest, puzzliest, and memorable point-click adventure games ever. The third in the Monkey Island series put forth by Lucasart has a wonderfully appealing hand-drawn animation style and swash-buckling color themes.
In case you are unfamiliar with the gameplay, your character (Guybrush) basically stands on screen and you click where you want him to go, talk, pickupstuff, interact, and whatnot. And once you get the hang of it, you'll be trying to get him to react to everything, trust me.
There are so many quotes, I won't spoil any though. I've beaten this game several times. You always find something new to love.
The next game in the series is pretty fun, but this cartoon-style is SO perfect for this game that if they make any more, it should be in this way. Guybrush Threepwood, mighty pirate, would agree.
Great game, but I wouldn't buy it.

I really liked this game. It's hilarious, and pretty challenging too. I haven't played it in a while, though.
I recall the plot being that a young pirate, Guybrush Threepwood, proposes to the governor of Melee Island, Elaine Marley, and puts a huge diamond ring on her finger, which turns her into solid gold. Seeking help, Guybrush ventures away from the gold statue that is his fiancee. He returns to find her stolen by pirates. The point of the game is to find Elaine.
I'd call The Curse of Monkey Island a strategy game. It involves collecting items and using them...Kinda like the Freddi Fish games. It's more challenging, though.
There are two levels, Mega Monkey and some other level - I don't remember the name. Mega Monkey is the more difficult level, while the other one has some tasks already done for you.
I wouldn't buy this game. The gameplay is the same every time, so once you're done, you're done. Don't look up hints on the internet or whatever.
That's it. I'm bad at conclusions, so...
Great fun for the entire family

I remember playing this game and cracking up when I was in High School. I may be 24 now, but I still get a chuckle from the character Murray. The is a great game that gamers of any age can enjoy. The game features a normal mode with not so difficult puzzles for younger players, and a hard mode for the more complicated puzzles.
