The games that I play and the ones that My wife likes tend to run a little differently, but this is one that we both enjoy and that made it even better because it is one that we can play together. I don't think that I have ever been disapointed by Lucas Arts, or their products.

Although I am too picky, I liked monkey island so much. From the moment I played the demo, I knew this game would be great. What I like about the series are the great graphics, wonderful music, u can (almost always!) never be killed, and all the puzzels make sense. Thank you Lucas Arts.

Great graphics, colors, video play. Very humorous. I had fun blowing up the skeleton pirates. Because of this one, I also bought Grim Fandango.

The Curse of Monkey Island was a fun-filled adventure that will keep you wanting more. It is very exciting, although the story is not as good as the first two games. Its animation is top notch and the sound is pretty good. I did have some problems with the sound every now and then. The characters would stutter and blip. Good game that is very good value for the money you pay. Buy it today!!

Monkey Island is great!It's really fun and funny although sometimes when you can't figure out something it gets a little frustrating,but games are supposed to be challenging.If you're really desperate,I reccomend you go to a Monkey Island website to get hints,but don't get a walkthrough which tells you exactly what to do for the whole game since it's not really fun to play it if you know what to do.Again,Monkey Island is GREAT!It's the kind of game you can play over and over again and not get bored.If you like adventure games this is the perfect game for you.Also,the sountrack is good.I highly reccomend this game for people of all ages.

I've just started playing adventure games and playing Curse of Monkey Island was definitely a fun experience. There are two modes which you can choose from, an normal mode and a hard mode. I've tried both and the hard mode is sometimes very unintuitive. If you aren't good at puzzles try the easier mode and if you live for figuring them out try the hard one. I would recommend this game to anyone.

All three games from Monkey Island are great, but this one is the best. It is witty, funny, has unique characters and the graphics are so well made. And who doesn't love pirates! You'll have endless hours of fun with this game.

Am I the only fan of the first 2 games that doesn't like this one? C'mon, underneath the funny intro, the vastly improved graphics and sound and the overall presentaition of the game, is there really a game that lives up to the first 2? I would have to say no.
The graphics, as good as they are, are way too cartoony. The jokes (aside from the intro) are either not funny or are non-existent. The puzzles are almost all really obscure. The plot is incredibly cliched (save the governer - AGAIN). I can't help but feel that had this been released almost immediately after LeChuck's Revenge with the same graphics and sound that it would be scorned apon compared to the other two.
Generally, I don't find this at all fun to play. Adventure games are one of the few genres where older games are still good for the simple reason that they don't need superb graphics or the latest technology. They need good puzzles and a good plot. They need you to get engaged in the characters. Just check out the first two games and ignore the lack of technology - they are much better. My favourite adventure game though would still have to be Full Throttle. Now THERE'S a game.

THE CURSE OF MONKEY ISLAND is my top of favorite game list! the funniest, most suprisigly clever and entertaining adventure game ever! gabrash threipwood (sorry for the incorrect spelling)is the main character which undergoes several challanging situations. Although is the third on the row of the"monkey island" series it's the best since. Well the great part is that a fourt "escape from the monkey island" it's on its way to the selves on fall 2000. So buckle your seatbelts and enjoy the piracy with its humour.!
