remember when games had that mood about them that sucked you in, when games were fun, rather then addictive, you played them as an alternative to books and such, not to fill in spair time. This game best represents games the way they were before games started to be more for money. Great humor and loads of fun packed adventure, the graphics will never grow old as they are cartoons =).
Fun, funny, and off the wall silly!

This game has become a favorite of mine in the short time I've played it. Guybrush Threepwood is a very funny(kinda nerdy) pirate wannabe who actually is(a pirate) but still acts wannabeish. "PHU-LEASE let me join your horrible little play?!" "PHU-Leeez let me sing in your sissified cortette." My first game was Mega-monkey style and is a good brain teaser, my second game is a regular style and their is only a minor difference in the two. If you want the best challenge start the Mega-monkey first, otherwise you'll know about the regular puzzles. -Not to givaway the plott- my favorite part was the banjo playing. In Mega-monkey you need to have an ear for music and a good memory. I have a terrible memory, so it took serveral tries to beat the ninni-fool(snugglecakes). The cut scenes are spectacular but it doesn't stop at the cut scenes, the in game graphics, especially on Blood Isle are gorgious, no need for 3D here. The characters are alive with detail and facial gesters, grimmicing, and eye movements. Threepwood's gesters are hilarious particularly his surprised look and his fish eyes. That cracks me up. This is a great game for kids and adults alike. Absolutely no violence in this game, you can attempt it but your main character will just say something like "I reeely think theres a better solution". I love this game and I think kids would realy love it too. There is an easter egg in this game that has persuaded me to buy a certain other product of humorous quality from Lucus Arts. I won't say what it is, I'll just say "'eh waiter, there's a meta-tarsle in my soup!!!"
SUPERB!

This has got to be on of the best games i have ever played. When it comes to witty comedy, adventure and interseting puzzles, Lucasarts is by far the best. This game has to be the best deal ive ever got on a game. Wonderful. The bottom line:If you like adventure, YOU GO BUY THIS GAME NOW! If you have never tried a Lucasarts adventure(excluding Indiana Jones and The Infernal Machine) then you should try this game. And if you don't like laughing, Then this game is the worst possible game you could buy.

The pride of Lucas Arts. The Curse of The Monkey Island. although it does not posess the 3D environment like Grim Fandango this game is the ultimate Adventure game the graphics are more like Leisure Suit Larry love for sail but anyway this game has the same things as Grim Fandango but does them better. the graphics are: Good (although they are not 3D graphics they are good) sound: well are OK but you dont really pay any attention to the sound while playing this super game and the fun factor: 100/10 incredible buy this for the FUN OF A LIFETIME
best of the series

I thaught this game was an exelent third part to the triliogy, unfortunately it was to short to hold my attention. Certain neccecary items are almost inpossable to find, but if you backtrack they come around. The quirkeyness and graphics are its greatest atributes. I would recomend this only to those who are die hard fans, and if you have seen Lucas's films. You may be disapointed.

It was good, but if your looking for a great game I suggest getting Grim Fandango by Lucas Arts. But anyway the game is good & I hope you give it a chance, then you will see how good it is.
A pathetic conclusion to a once-great series.

The first two games in the Monkey Island series were fresh, funny, and inventive. The Curse of Monkey Island is none of these things. Rather, it feels like a harsh and manufactured attempt to recreate what made the first two games so great. It does not succeed. Without Ron Gilbert, and without the slightest idea of what the first two games were about, The Curse of Monkey Island, had it been called something else (as it should have) might have been okay. But its poor graphics, mostly unfunny humor, and theme completely foreign to the series make it a game no fun of the series should bother to play. If you've never heard of Monkey Island before, it may be worth it, but it's not likely.
