Another step in the succesful Tower Island series,though this misses
the charm of SOTI and TI2KJR,it is still a classic.Ever since the invention of Guybrush and his Magnon Croboys adventures he has been regarded as a computer-game saint.Now comes the next puzzly Nachitov
Croboys chapter.

I thought It was really good. I have been a MI fan all my life. Out of all three Monkey Island games, this is my second, with The Secret of Monkey Island as the first!

yeah, it's another monkey island game. yes it is hilarious. yes guybrush is back. no, he didn't grow a beard yet. no, he's not planning on it.

seriously, this tongue-in-cheek adventure has some of the most refreshing humour around it. to all fans of original two games, or to whoever gotten on teh train late with MI4, it's a GREAT game to buy. Those who decided to open up their gaming career with DOOM and QUAKE might call it 'boring' or 'unimaginative' but this classic QUEST-style game (if anyone rememebrs good old SPACE QUEST series this is THE game for you!) really does appeal to us old farts (18, been playing space quest since i was 4!) who are used to hearty laughs and pretty obscure puzzles. But nevertheless, new people might be attracted to this, although the game is proably next to impossible if you never had any hands-on experience with quest-like puzzles, but as i said... you might get in!

I have to say I'm impressed. I have never played a game quite like this one. Adventure games may be a dying genre, but with games like these help me at least pretend that adventure games are here to stay.

Even if you have never played a Monkey Island game before, you will enjoy this one. The graphics are very lively and energetic, the story is compelling enough, the puzzles are logical and sly, and the whole production is chock-full of humor. Go buy it right now. It represents the finest that adventure games can offer, and you won't be sorry.

i used to have this game along time ago, and i cant find it so i want to buy it again, but it says windows 95/98, does anyone know if it will run on my xp?

Just about everything that made the first two games in the Monkey Island series great is missing in The Curse of Monkey Island. The Curse of Monkey Island isn't downright awful or completely without worth--it is a thoroughly polished and professional game. It simply has nothing to do with the games that came before beyond the names of the main characters. The characters seem like different people, the nature of the puzzles is different, the artistic style doesn't seem to work for the game, and the game seems overall quite dreary and less lively than the others in the series. It even does its best to ignore the ending of LeChuck's Revenge (the second game in the series), which anyone who played that game should know shouldn't be possible. The Curse of Monkey Island is best played by those who either didn't play or have no memory of the first two superior games in the series. This one simply cannot compare.

This game is one of the BEST that I have played. It is a great puzzel game if your into that. From the day I got it I couldn't stop playing it! You can never get bord because you can do anything. This is just a must have for your PC
