Twisted Metal Black I think is a #1 game the graphics are so realistic.I am a huge fan of Twisted Metal I have Twisted Metal 1
Twisted Metal 2 Twisted Metal 3 Twisted Metal 4 Twisted Metal Black and Twisted Metal Small Brawl.I think they are all great and Twisted Metal Black is the most realistic.I will keep buying all the Twisted Metals they make because they are all great games
and I hope they make a lot more Twisted Metals and all the people who think Twisted Metal sucks.Well what can i say you don't have good taste in games. So I hope u buy this game I already have it and its an awesome game so buy if you like shooting games and car games because all Twisted Metals are awesome.

This is a great game and the graphics are good, but the maps well....I don't like. Every one of them is placed at night of in the evning so at some times it's hard to see, other than that the game is really good!

I've never been speechless for a video game before.

Twisted Metal: Black has everything a gamer could possibly want. It's chock full of violence, explosions, flashing things, and cars. For all you testosterone-overloaded guys out there, this game is for you! This game has one of the most engaging plots, and most sophisticated and downright fun gameplay. The cars are mostly all powerful and have amazing pick-ups and weapons.

Never before have I been so engaged into a video game until now. TM:B has so much to give and then some. If you like cars, this game is yours. If you like action and explosions, this game is yours. If you like guns and fast-paced thrills, this game is yours. I'll admit that the multi-player needed some tweaking, but this game is very fun and I'm not at all surprised of the amazing critic reviews. This game will leave you breathless.

If you must know, though: TM:B is not for the faint of heart-- be prepared for some mild profanity (except for Sweet Tooth's intro... not so 'mild'), and be prepared for a heck of a lot of explosions and downright amazing happenings. There is not much else to be said about this game except that it was worth its original price ..., let alone the ... price tag that it recently began wearing.

I have played this game once at my friends place. He's a big Tm fan he has all of them and now he has this one and this is the best of all. The characters are original and in depth. They are also pretty twisted! I mean they're all from an insane asylum so what do you expect? I personally recommend Shadow, Brimstone, and Sweet Tooth. Shadow and Sweet Tooth are way different from previous Tm's but either way it's worth playing.

This game is awesome. The controls take a little getting used to, but once it's on, it's ON! The bosses are challenging as they should be, and the characters are all very unique. Of course this game is not for younger gamers, I would say anybody under the age of 15 should be wary of this game.

The multiplayer is awesome, you and a freind can co-op to finish the game, which is very cool. Only complaint I see is that somtimes your specials hit your freind (Crazy 8's electricity kept hitting my cousin's car)

Graphics, superb. Vast levels, great effects, just top notch.

Anything else? If I'm forgetting something it's because there wasn't anything to complain about.

This game is good for anyone that enjoyed the first two twisted metal game the controls are good but take a little time to get used to the them. Even after playing for hours you can still enjoy the game due to its many different areas. only down side the game is a little hard even on easy so it will take a little time

Pros: Stunning visuals, fast paced action, great story line. This game is noticeably better than tm3 and 4. It is similar to 1 and 2 in terms of playability. (I think TM2 is the best video game ever). This version is extremely challenging.

Cons: The dark backgrounds sometimes make it difficult to see. Also the weapons are not as good as two...they are sometimes poorly drawn.

Bottom line: Best game to come along in since PS2's inception...Period!

this game is not only one of the best in the TM series ahhh what the hell it is in my book! the main thing i like about this game is the rolling stones song "black" the songs perfect for the games plot. sweet tooth is awsome in this game his back round is bad as hell! but other then all that heres something you must know before geting it... the game wont be a bed of roses to beat..this game will get very hard the first few times you play it. the boss's will be hard and will most likely want to smash your tv! but play it a few more times..even if it takes you 6 weeks with no breaks,with no blinking. youl get adicted and better at it lol. im still looking foward to beating the game with dollface..now thats another fav of mine. well all i have to say is buy it...you wont stop playing it.

This is absolutely one of the top games out right now. If you love destruction, violence, and beautiful graphics look no further.

Reevaluation in hindsight

I originally reviewed this when I was a few years younger, so the review didn't look very well-written at all. My comments are still the same, however. If you liked the other Twisted Metal games, you will likely enjoy this one. Lack of online play and a bit of a difficulty imbalance are the only things really keeping this from being a 5-star game, in my eyes. The controls are a bit difficult to get used to, in terms of using them with finesse, at least. One of the boss fights is nearly infuriating with difficulty, while the last boss of the game seems a bit too easy, in comparison.

Judging by current standards, on the brink of the next generation consoles becoming the standard, it is hard to rate it based on technological standpoints, but in its time it was superior. In addition, the style of the storyline is very interesting, and worth looking at. I played through God of War, and in some ways one of the cutscenes from God of War reminded me of the style used in this game.

So ultimately, if you like the style of game, definitely get it. If you don't like the gameplay typically, you won't like this one, as it has a similar feel to the others in the series. However, this is not a must-buy, by any means, in my opinion. I could have lived without it, despite it being a 4-star game, quality-wise.
