First of all, A 12 year old gamer is nothing more then an EA rep. Notice how he pitched an ad for EA games, most reviewers and players would agree that tw 3 and 4 were both failures, due to EAs size however, they are able to manipulate the buyer. Don't pay attention to his ad pitch, you have been warned. Try tw 1 or 2 or black as all three are better then 3 and 4.

Now that the stupid people have been killed, lets move on to the review.

First of all this game is gorgeous, the sound effects are bustling, and the story is alot better then most tms. It's only failure is it's mediocre AI, mediocre Level design, and less expansive levels (actually they are bigger but in tw2 you could cover the entirety of paris which makes for far greater battles even though the actual area is smaller then most black levels but its the thought that counts.) Also it seems like there weren't enough big things happening, instead of knocking down the eiffel tower your destroying a carnival wheel. The characters abilities and specials aren't as detailed, and for the most part this game gets dull quick alone, however online play and 2p save this game and make it worth having, and yes, the game is still somewhat fun on single player.

Twisted metal black wasn't as good as Twisted III. The graphics are awsome and levels huge but there are some flaws as well. Like the firing system is very complicated, two, the computer playes are very tough and turning down the level of dificulty doesn't help vey much! I bought because it was cheap, but it just sits on my shelf most of the time!

When I first got this game and started it, I thought it was great and the guns you use are amazing. Everybody has a sweat special and some (Like Sweet Tooth) have awesome specials. I liked finding secrets in all the levels (like blowing up a building to find a tunnel). But after a while, the game gets old and repetitive. At first, it is incredibly hard and you will probably die right away. And the problem is, as soon as you get the hang of it, the weapons and specials get old and you've found out everything on the levels. Sure you can unlock new characters- but then they get old real fast. And it isn't even great in the beginning because you're constantly getting killed because it is so hard. Plus, it's impossible to see when you are in two player mode and trying to look for speeding cars about to hit you.

out of any of the games I own this game is my least favorite. I can't even believe I had bought it. I strongly suggest if you want to play it, RENT IT

this game is the best game there is for twisted metal. although this game might be hard without a code this game is the best of them all. from seneries that turn from day to night in a time period and the cars... the Cars! there are so many with [amazing] wepons some of which could help u win this game. every time u win the game u get a ending movie like in sweet tooths one he doesnt want the cure after all so he crushes it and kills colopyso. the came might have one or two bad words said by sweettooth and spectre but no worries its all good. buy this game please its a really great game

My son had purchased this game: Twisted Metal Black and couldn't say enough about it. It had all the gore, fighting, adventure you'd want. He said it's another to add to his collections of super good games!

This is by far the best twisted metal game yet! Full of hard hitting action, great weapon upgrades, good 1 to 4 player action, I love destroying my friends. This game never gets old.

The hit series is back and it couldn't have been better. Twisted Metal Black is the savior of the Twisted Metal series. With awesome new weapons, cool graphics, awesome new characters, and a soundtrack you could die for (literally), what more could we ask for. The levels are extremly interactive (and they're huge too!!) Unlock secret characters from the previous Twisted Metal games and multiplayer levels. Challenge yourself in story mode, challnege mode, or endurance mode, or challenge your friends in death-match mode, player co-op mode, or last man standing mode. Buy this game, you will not be disappointed, I garuntee it.
Bottom Line: Twisted Metal Black twists back in the right direction.

Twisted Metal Black is far beyond my wildest dreams, destroying the horrific reputation set by 989 studios and putting the Twisted Metal series and Ps2 back on track.

....

The graphics for this game are draw dropping and it has a frame rate to match, the game engine is simple and indeed it is it's very simplicity that allows it to be far more enjoyable than any game in the last 8 months.

I'd love to write more but I have to get back to play the game. Sorry
