It is fun at first, but then you find out that 007 Agent Under Fire is an average first person shooter. The game plays like an arcade game with the James Bond trade license sprawled across the front. First of all, the game has nothing that feels like a good Bond story. The story is more sci-fi than a real Jams Bond story. Also, AUF has a bad control scheme, and poor artificial intellegence. AUF is also too easy. Once you find out what the game developers want you to do, it is too easy to beat the game. There are also some bad graphics that make the enemies look like walking mannequins. One of the only good things about AUF is the split screen multi-player option, which is fun when you have your friends over to play. Unfortunatetly, in multiplay there is no option to use AI Botts. (Although I have heard that they are unlockable in Game Cube versions.)
Although the multplayer is awesome, AUF has too many below average features to make it a game worth buying. I suggest you rent instead of buy this game.

Good, but the graphics suck.

There is nothing to say. The storyline of the game is great. A classic 007 video game. The only bad part about it is that the graphics are not very crisp for the PS2 version. I recomend to hold on and spend some more money. Meanwhile by yourself a share of NasDaq for your money.

This Bond Video Game is the first one of the new generation of Bond Games. All the ones before this were taken from movies (Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies, etc.). But this is the first one made with an original storyline and all-new characters. Here's my Review:

Characters:

James Bond: British Agent working for the MI6.

Zoe Nightshade: American CIA agent who is working on a case involving stolen, unknown viles. An ally of Bond's

Adrian Malprave: CEO of Malprave Industries. Works with close ally, Nigel Bloch. An enemy of Bond's.

Nigel Bloch: CEO of Identicon Corporation, which is mostly a front for his criminal activity. You will encounter him in many battles throughout the game.

R: Head of gadget and weopon technology in the MI6. He will help Bond throughout the game.

M: Head of the MI6. Gives details of Bond's missions.

Dr. Natalya Damescu: Former DNA leading researcher for Malprave Industries. Now an enemy of Malprave, and an ally of Bond. You must help her in Romania, for Malprave wants her dead.

Carla the Jackal: Hired assassin working for Malprave. You must defeat her, before she gets to Damescu.

Reginald Griffin: British Diplomat at the British Embassy. His whereabouts are unknown, but Bond must find him, for the stolen viles that Nightshade was investigating contain a sample of his blood.

Malprave's Plot: Malprave wishes to assassinate 8 of the world's leaders and replace them with clone replicas, thus causing worldwide economical and political disaster. She will then continue to do this with other leaders through the process of smuggling the viles of their blood through Bloch's Identicon Corporation, and shipping them to her underwater cloning facility, Poseidon, in the South China Sea.

The story will make more sense as you play it. I like this game. It has 12 action-packed levels, including 4 Driving missions. Bond explores through Identicon in Hong Kong, to a British Embassy in Romania, to Malprave Industries in Switzerland, and even to an Oil Rig in the South China Sea. This game has it all. A must Buy!

Good game

If you haven't noticed lately, EA Games has been getting lackluster on its games: Freekstyle was a cheap reinvention of previous hit SSX, NBA Street Volume 2 was a replica of its first one, just with updated lineups, and NFL Street was unable to live up to its hype.

'Agent Under Fire' is an improvement for EA, but it isn't no perfect game. The first few missions are extremely easy and the enemies fall to the ground within 2-6 shots. The game gradually gets more challenging, but gameplay seems choppy. The weapons are their usual while the gadgets are sort of neat. The enemy AI is poor, but the graphics are great for a James Bond game. Bottom Line: of course, you'll have fun playing this game (It's James Bond game...duh!), but it's not as good as Nightfire and seems to only meet standards, not exceed them.

yeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!

Not very relistic? Stupid enemies?! MEDIOCRE GAMEPLAY???!!!!! Now look here, you children who are writing reviews; those of you who are making negative comments on this game must be so crazy, that you hate [almost] everything. This game is the most fun game Iv'e ever played, and for a good reason. It may have parts in it that are really hard, but if everything went smoothly and easily in the game, it would be no fun. Unfortunately, most of you people don't think first before you write your reviews. You write about how there are very tough areas in the game, as if it's a bad thing. Then you probably learn from your mistaken belief, but 2 LATE!! Your misleading review is on this website, and will stay on for years. Anyway, these weapons are ones that you should use:

The Dartgun:
Downs 'em in one shot!!

The 017:
50 round clip, and good gun!

The KS7:
Fun to shoot because of rate of fire! Good gun, too!

The P-Cannon:
HOMING AMMO, WHICH DOWNS 'EM IN ONE SHOT!!!!!!

All of the pistols are good

The UGW:
Good rate of fire, good power. Nice scope!

Grenade Launcher:
You all know this one well!

Missile Launcher:
Explosions galore!

And Much More!

The graphics are great, the sound is unbelievable, and the gameplay is best! Buy it, buy it, buy it, buy it, BUY IT!

Nightfire better, still good

Agent Under Fire is a new and improved BOnd game that allows you to take control of a variety of weapons and gadgets AND allows you to drive Bond cars, the Aston Martin DB5 from Goldfinger and my personal fave, the BMW Z8 from The World Is Not Enough.
You play, of course, as British Agent 007 James Bond.
YOu're up against a powerful enemy, Adrian Malprave and her henchman, Bloch, and Carla the Jackal.
You're allies include R (substitute for the late Q), M and CIA agent Zoe Nightshade, who gets killed at the end of the second mission, unfortunately. But then you get a new babe, who ALSO only features in two mission Dr Natalya Damescu.
PRos:
Car missions,
pretty good graphics,
perfect difficulty setting for missions,
moves like a real Bond movie

Cons:
THe explosions are terrible, so 2D, and they don't get improved upon in the successor Nightfire.
The makers were so lazy the took everything from Agent NIghtshade, the skirt, the ID card, the COWBOY BOOTS, and makes Dr Damescu, who is exactly the same only the clothers are black and her hair's a different colour.
BOnd's face looks horrible
And, to a lesser extent, directed again at the makers, resurrected Nightshade for Nightfire.
However, it was VERY good, well worth the dough.
