Great Game!!!!

I first got my PS2 this Christmas (2001) and i got a couple of games including Dark Cloud. ITS GREAT!! I got caught up in this game for hours. Its alot like The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time. And with a combination of good graphics good sound a great weapon system and a little bit of violence it makes this game one of the best games for PS2. But the coolest part is how you get to collect alta (world pieces) and rebuild the entire world the way u want it to be! I VERY highly recommend this game to every gamer out there.

this game rocks-trust me.

this game is a cross between the legend of zelda and diablo with the slightest hint of sim city. basically, your town has been destroyed, and you have to go through dungeons and collect all the people, buildings, etc. then you put them back in the remains of your town, and eventually rebuild it. this game will get you hooked immediately. i've only played the demo version, which was really very unlimited, and i expected it to be a lot more expensive. my advice is get it now, before the price goes up.

I played this game and absolutley loved it. It has outstanding graphics and pinpoint game controll. If you wanted my opinion this is definitley a 4-5 star game. I would suggest buying it now that it is only[$$]. A great game at a great price, Dark Cloud.

This is an exciting, entertaining game with excellent graphics and a boss plot! Most definetly one of the best games I've played yet! Playing through several different worlds, you embark on an exciting adventure, with 6 different characters, using all kinds of weapons, from sling shots to magical rings. Not to mention over 50 different enemies of all different shapes and sizes.The only bad thing about is a few minor glitches, but they're barely noticable, unless you look for them. In my opinion, as well as many others, the best PS2 game yet!!!!!

This game is great i mean yeah its very easy like final fantasy games are 10 times harder than this and they're not even that hard. Okay so like i said not to hard but funess wise i give it a full 10! Every minute of this game was great fun .. it took me about 1 full week to beat it(not stopping,not like i played that long with out stopping)i loved the characters , very cute.To me the best part about this game was the building towns and putting things where u want them and stuff. The graphics were pretty good but in dark cloud 2 they could probly try to make them better, witch they did! the gameplay was a full 10 to me so that probly explains how good it was. I like the easy controls in this too and the camera angles dont need to be changed at all. I liked beating bosses in this game and upgrading weapons 2!! so fun fun fun is you own ps2 why not get an easy, but fun game!? overall im giving dark cloud for the ps2 a 9.5/10 cuz i think they could try harder with the graphics. thanks-ur friend Alannah King

Ce jeux est excellent. L'évolution du game play est parfait. L'immerssion est super. Il n'a pas de raison pour ne pas avoir ce titre dans votre collection de jeu. Surtout quand il est a 29$

I was weary on whether i should buy this game at first after reading lots of mediocre ratings in gaming magazines. I'm very glad I ignored those. This is becoming the most time-consuming game I've played since the Final Fantasys. Everything about it great. The rebuilding of towns is a fantastic element to this game where you strategically place buildings according to the demands of the residents that live there. I also like the building up of the weapons where you have to upgrade certain elements to satify the requirements. When you do you have the chance to make aa whole new stronger weapon. There are actually some whole days where I do nothing but try to upgrade my weapon. It very cool. The graphics are excellent too. Much better then Zelda's on N64. Everything I expected from the PS2. It's a great game to hold me until Final Fantasy X.

if you like "zelda styled" RPGs than you'll not be let down with this one. Original story line. Nice fighting style, kewl graphics, lots of personal preffeances with weapons/elements and items. Rebuilding the towns is a fun and positive addition to the mix in the RPG world. All in all this game has a lot of gameplay and is great to look at. also look @ dark cloud 2

I will say the overall game play is fun. as you have plenty to do in the game that changes often. No two dungeons are the same. I noticed that. The only draw back to this game is the fact the you must constantly upgrade weapons. This takes a long time to do. then to find the right combination of weapons to beat the bosses. The georama Idea is a nice one. And the fact you can alter the town you build on ocassion. but you must do it to the specs of the town folk or your in real trouble. As the town has to be near exact to get all of the chests and attachments. I did notice one thing 99% of all jewel attachments are found on back floors. Its a pain if you cant find oil. All of the main floor Beasts are almost impossible to beat. So get used to trolling in the dungeons. I went past 999 so its the weapons that must be strong enough to win in the end. On its initial stage it looks so easy but ends up a real challenge. I played DC2 on an OPM disc Looks good. Though I wish they had kept the Toan character as the lead. The little Blond guy looks a little boring to me. you get used to characters I guess. You must have patience in this game. It does require some major patience at times. but in the end its the game I put in the PS2 every day. I cant say that for other games.
