Great Game

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 0 / 0

Although the players are a lot like they were in the 2002 game, this game is twice as good. There is now a franchise mode and expansion mode which makes the game even more fun. There are more replays and more sayings by the announcers. You can do a lot more with the pitching and the hitting. You can charge the mound, brush-back pitches, and pitch-out on the steal. There are the rookies from last year and the rosters are updated. This makes the game funner and you cant get bored. This is a great game if you are into baseball or you just like different video games. I definately reccommend this game.

Awsome

Listen these "one star reviews" must be from dreamcast gamers or any other system because this is the best baseball game so far in life. Franchise will keep you playing for the whole baseball season and then some. equivlant to the madden series of football, baseball games now have a new king. only complaint is how to change the amount of innings but put it on fast play and its not so bad. for those of you who can't hit..just put it on "easy hit" and find ur groove or improve your skills with batting practice or home run derby. There's no such thing as a perfect game but this is as goo as it gets. i just got it today and i've been playing for at least 5 hours. so get this game, shut up andstop dissing it before u give it a good chance...and go Philles!!! Brett Myers is the next Schilling and will come up and save them!!!

Great baseball game, BUT only 1 player for Franchise mode.

I really wish all these video game companies could combine all the different aspects to one amazing game. When I first played this game, I thought my wish was going to be granted. The graphics and the detail in this game is superb. (From the start of the baseball game to the player's faces.) Even the pitching is great. I was playing against Randy Johnson and he was really hard to hit. Those fastballs came wizzing in and you could tell it was him on the mound. I will keep this short as you probably read other reviews. My only problem with the game is that the Franchise Mode and Season Mode is only 1 player. You can't have 2 human teams which I think is a major error on their part. My friend and I were looking forward to each running our own team, but we couldn't. The only other problem is the delay of the player's throwing the ball in the field. Other than those two, it is a really good baseball game.

This is a great game. There are so many things that have amazed me. First of all the new trivia option is cool. Good if u love to test your baseball knowledge. 2nd the expansion mode is outstanding. It keeps u want to play it some more and has cool cities to choose from. It is great a game finally has a franchise mode. 3rd i think the card collection was great.
there are some flaws though. 1 Sometimes the players don't really look like they catch the ball. and second the franchise mode has no rookie draft and no new schedule!
But these are only a few flaws.
GET THIS GAME and you will not be feelin sorry!

Not so much realistic roster.

I think this game is little bit better than ASB 2002. Injury is back, and also features 15 minor leaguers.

However, the biggest dissapointment is; we cannot save rosters except seasons and series. Moreover, we cannot make custom players except those modes, either.

15 minor leaguers are only available in season mode. But still unrealistic quite a bit. For example, Al Martin(currently in Cardinals) are still in Mariners. We have no way to trade him except season mode.

Besides, during the season mode, computers make trades by themselves. Since I enjoy more realistic rosters, that was not a necessary, I think.

One thing I will enjoy is creating custom players; such as So Taguchi(STL), Kazuhisa Ishii(LA), Satoru Komiyama(NYM), and more.

Still, this is a fine game. But I think ASB is getting worse since it was changed from N64 to PS2.

good, but not perfect.

this game is pretty good.

Pros: Realistic
Good Gameplay
Collisions at home
Players Charge the mound but don't fight.

Cons: Hard to field
Hard to bat
If you throw at a player twice you are ejected.

you should rent it

This game is very fun but can bore u after a couple weeks.Well heres the basics to this game when u play in the game go to game options and press easy batting off. Then it will be alot easier to hit the ball.If u like cheats to put on games well to bad because there is no good cheats on this game! The home run derby is really fun because u get to pick four batters and then u go head to head with another 4 batters. There is this one mode that is called Expantion mode u get to pick these other teams to play with like alabama and stuff like that then u have a player draft to see what players u get. This game has great gameplay but pretty good graphics but not as good as i expected. If i were u i wouldn't do franchise unlees your gonna play 5 times a day every day,That's why i just do season because season takes long enough for me!This is how they rank a player they rank a player by saying therm like A- or B+ like that for Example Randy Johnson is a A+ Barry Bonds is a A, and Derek Jeter is a A-.I think u get the picture so finally this is how i rank this game.

Graphics 7/10
Gameplay 9/10
Sound 8/10
Options 3/10
Players 6/10
Draft 2/10
batting 10/10
fielding 8/10
pitching 10/10
and finally the hole game is
The Game 7/10

Good luck if u bye the game and i hope u will enjoy it!

ok...
