This is one of the greatest agmes created. Its fun and makes you feel good when your down. If you don't own tjis game you don't know what you are missing. It's a great Chistmas, birthday, and all around gift. Get it for your kids it's something they will hate to grow up without. If you have Playstation 2 then get Spyro Enter the Dragonfly. Thats also a good game. These games are so good that i own them all!!

We gave this game to my 5 year old son for Christmas, and he just loves it. The controls aren't too complicated, and the gameplay is lively and even comical at times. Highly recommended!

Spyro fans Come one Come all

My sisster is 6. She has completly gone gaga for this game. When we couln`t play she goes "I need Spyro,I have to have my Spyro, I cant live without it." (cry for 40 minutes). There are neat worlds and fun mini games. You have to colect all the eggs and gems. Sometimes you have to pay mister moneybags, but dont wory in the last homeworld you get to charge him and get all your gems back.There are also mini games with sparx(Dragonfly). Parents whom are very much against violince this probrobaly isn't the game for you. There are various games with laser guns,cannons, rocket launchers. There are enemys with pick axes, Hammers,shovels,even ones shooting things. But in the end it`s a prety good game. The only probrlem is you need all the gems and 149/150 eggs to get into the last portal and finding all the gems and and 99 percent of the eggs.

This one is so cute. Even though it is just a PS1 game, do not shy away from it. While the graphics and game play will not match PS2 games, the story is innovative and the voices amusing. The game levels range from pretty simple to quite difficult. But you can find lots of good online guides for "cheats" and help along the way. I think it is perfect for the younger child. Many Playstation games are too violent for young kids. But this one is mild. I let my four year old play and he enjoys it. I like this much, much better than the prior Spyro (Ripto). Sometimes the camera glitches up. That is my biggest gripe. Hey, if I can finish it you can, too.

More of the same, but I'm still not bored from it

I've played the first two and then jumped into this one. We have many games in our library but Spyro is the only one that gets played with much frequency. The graphics are great and the challenge is plenty to keep you coming back for more.

Spyro3's not actually 5, it's actually 5+!

It's a good game. Now Spyro gets to skateboard, ride squid-boards (I'm not joking), explore underwater trenches with submarines and ride space saucers. You'll have to fight for the Dragon World like a experienced-warrior dragon by collecting all the keys, lost gems and the last not least, magical dragon eggs!
This is no war game, but still, you get to use tanks, cannons (like in Spyro2 and 1) and subs (introduced in Aquaria Towers of Spyro2) to destroy hot air-balloons, Rhynocs disguised as ghosts and even magical crabs! New friends including Crazy Ed, Bianca, Gabrielle, Sheila the Kangaroo, Sgt. Byrd, Bentley and Agent9 who will help you to defeat the mean and evil Sorceress and her henchman, Buzz!
Over 6 new colorful worlds, with 4 new playable characters and 4 new speedways like in the 2nd Spyro!!!
Buy it, Don't rent it!

A new batch of dragon eggs hasarrived and the Dragon World hums with festivities. But a disgruntled Sorceress has hatched her own plot to steal them all! Dragonkind could become egg-stinct! It's Spyro and his friends to the rescue......
This game i got for my 15th B-Day along with the PS game system. I'm glade that i got this game as my first because it has to be the best PS game i have bought. I've betten it 3 times and still find it fun. There are many playable critters- Sheila the kangaroo, Sgt. Bird, Bentley the Yeti, Sparx the Dragon-fly and Agent 9. All with their own special abilities. The worlds are huge and mystical, with portals in each world leading to other worlds. You will search for eggs and jewls through deep lava craters and flooded minishafts to a city in the clouds. You can pull off sick tricks, unleash a tank attack, pilot a flying saucer, ride a speedboat, step into the boxing ring, dive deep in a submarine or fire off rockets. There is so much you can do, and such veriatie of levels you'll never get bored. There are scores of enemies. Battle flying beavers, cristal bears, gunslinging dinos, unmannerly mummies, bug-eyed scorpions and micro-matodons. I only wish that all PS games were like this one, because the people who created all the spyro games have made them so they can be played and replayed. If you like games like crash, you'll really like this one.

You read it right. I seem to not be able to get past that big Buzz character. And where can you get a cheater booklet?

I enjoy every second of Spyro:Year of the dragon. The action was terrific. I love that one level where you skate. I seem to be having a little trouble with that Buzz character(top).I will keep trying. (...)

EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT. This is one of my favorite games made for play station. I think if you like adventure games, this is one you should concider. Great game.
