Little Dragon With An Attitude

As the owner of Spyro 1 and 3 I can most likely say I am a fan by now. I see Spyro as the second Crash Bandicoot, like Yoshi to Mario in Nintendo, as Sony's second chance at a loveable cartoon hero. To make up for their first try, and failure "Croc" Like Crash, Spyro has won his way into our hearts, unlikely for a happy cartoon, in the Playstation's world of mostly Fighting, Sports and RPG games. It is his unlikeliness that makes many Playstation owners spit at the purple dragon, disapointed that when Spyro kills an enemy, it doesn't spit blood or fall like a corpse. I give Sony credit. While even myself I say this game is much too easy, easily completed in 3-5 days, and a waste of storage space after that, the gameplay is quite unique. While it may mirror the second and first Spyros, there are some things that set it apart. The mini games. Boy are those fun. Everything you do in this game is mini game, and they are all very enjoyable. To conclude I believe, like the 1st and 2nd, it will in time reach Playstations "Greatest Hits" and go down in price. For a true fan of the purple guy, buy it now, but if your skeptical, wait a while, or just skip it altogether.

Better then Spyro 1, but not as good as Spyro 2

The first two Spyro games were wonderful, they were challenging, fun, and kept me wondering where I'd go next. In Spyro 3, I don't know whether I'm just bored of Spyro, or if it's the game, but I didn't really care to play it. The mini games weren't as hard as in S2, neither were the speedways/flights, but the actual levels could be a little tough. The new characters were cute and fun to play as, especially the kangeroo. But one thing I don't understand is that the graphics weren't as good as S2! What's up with that? I guess I'm not really surprised, but just don't expect them to be all that great. So, should you buy the game? Yes, I think you should. But if you're trying to decide whether to buy S2 or S3, get Spyro 2. Oh, and not to mention Spyro 3 has a little bug, so you can't complete the game, which kind of ticked me off, but oh well.

Spyro is back!

In the third adventure with the totally purple dragon, this one tops them all. The best thing about Spyro games is that they're based for more skittish gamers, and I think that's a good thing. Most of the games today are excessively violent. Some violent games can be fun, but after awhile you get bored of them and wish to play something more...role-playing? Hm.
This game is so much fun! My favorite thing is that the game developers make different characters for each portal, and they have different names and purposes.
Being the best game, it is also the hardest, which isn't very hard. But it's still entertaining!
The story is basically that a sorceress wants to conquer Avalar, etc.... and Spyro must stop her. If you played the previous games, you know that Avalar is the basic home world.
Hunter is back too! That athletic cheetah challenges you to do stuff that is well,.. challenging. Like skateboarding, for instance. Now THAT is fun! All the moves are named after people from Spyro 2, like the "Ripto" and the "Gulp", etc..
I suggest you buy this game, especially if you are young or just starting to game, or even if you aren't, it is still fun to play.

this is an excellent game...family members from 5 to 55 years old have played this game and it was enjoyed immensely by all. the graphics on this game are great...colourful, eyecatching...i enjoyed just watching the others play :-)

the kids sat for hours playing this.

anyone who has kids knows that silence can be worrying...lol :-)...we kept going down to the basement to check on the kids as they were so quiet...no shouting, screaming, arguing :-S...but everytime we checked thinking they were probably up to some mischief or other we found them playing spyro...sitting quitely, sharing nicely, having fun wthout half killing eachother in the process!...spooky or what?...lol ;-)

this game is definitely a real winner :-)

Go Spyro

My son and I have beaten both Spyro 1 & 2 and got 3 this Christmas. We love it. Spyro can do more things and the "areas" are great. We haven't tried Spyro 4 yet and after reading many reviews I am tempted to not try it at all. This game was worth waiting for the price to drop.

When I first got my PS1 for Christmas, I also got Spyro 3. I didn't play the games in the right order, but that didn't matter to me. I loved it, and I still do. One of my favorite things about this game is you can change Spyro's color by going on the web and finding codes. The levels,storyboard,and characters are great. The goal of the game is to stop the sorceress from taking all the baby dragon eggs and using them in a potion that would make her live forever. There are four home worlds and 150 dragon eggs total. I got this game a few years ago and I still love it.

This is the very best game I have ever played on Playstation! (Even though I only have 1 other game)It has great graphics, lots of levels and worlds, and this is the only game that I've seen that you can read what the people are saying and HEAR them talk in their own voice. (There are probably more games that do that but that is the only I'VE ever seen do it.)I couldn't save because of a problem in my Playstation BUT I DON'T CARE!!! because there are so many FUN levels. I really recommend you buy this game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spyro at His Best

This third installment in the Spyro saga is simply the best. It seems that the designers learned from all their mistakes in the last two and did away with them, leaving you as close to a perfect game as you can get. It's an amazingly huge game; Takes a long time to get through. And best of all, you get to play as 6 other characters besides just Spyro.

The third in the Spyro trilogy is here and in my opinion the best of the three. Well, I am so impressed with this game. The graphics are really good, mostly but the camera does have a few problems sometimes, and there are new characters for you to play as, Sheila the high kicking kangaroo, Sgt. Byrd the flying military penguin, Bentley the club wielding yeti and Agent 9 the psychotic space monkey. The sound is great, you can hear all the 'little things', such as running water, wind blowing, etc. If you are interested in Crash, Spyro or other games of that genre I recommend this game because it is easy to learn and fun to play. Older people may get turned off by the 'cute' graphics, but look past the graphics into the game, it is simply superb. If you don't have this game, and don't buy it you are seriously missing out!

This is one of my favorite games! The graphics I give 5 stars, and the sounds I give 5 stars!
I know I dont give any info about the game, but I have to hurry cause I wanna go play my game, so look at other peoples for that.
