Spyro: Year of the Dragon is by leaps and bounds the best of the series. It is extremely entertaining and a very well rounded game. I bought the series for my girlfriend and we had a lot of fun going through them together. She really loved them. I recomend boyfriends NOT tell the girl that she is "worthless" and "isn't good at video games"... yelling is also discouraged.

This game was so cool!
But i don't like the fact that it is so hard to beat.
Hope you make a new one.
But if you do at least try to make this one justice.

THIS IS THE BEST GAME FOR PSONE EVER.IT'S ALOT BETTER THEN SPYRO 2 RIPTO'S RAGE/GATE AWAY 2 GLIMER AND SPYRO ENTER THE DRAGONFLY.
IT'S ALOT COOLER 2.YOU CAN FINALLY PLAY AS OTHER CHARECTERS LIKE SHEILA THE KANGAROO, SGT, BYRD, BENTLEY THE YETI AND AGENT 9.
IT ALLSO HAS THE BEST GRAPHICS IN ALL THE PSONE GAMES.
THIS GAME IS WORTH YOU'RE MONEY.SO GO BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!

one day my dad came home he had a surprise!it was spyro year of the dragon.i made him play it three times!these days i know how to do it myself. i know headbash jump headbutt good look flame glide hover and swim.if you like spyro get this vidio game! p.s.plays ps2 to,and you shoud see what happens to moneybags at the end when you headbutt him.

Excellent game, but Spyro: Ripto's Rage is better.

This game is excellent as I said. In this game you have to go and collect eggs that have been stolen from the Dragon Realms. Hunter and Zoe are back along with some new characters. There are also mini games too, but intead of winning orbs, you win dragon eggs. The best mini game in my opinion is the skateboarding (You'll see if you buy it!). Sum it all up and you get a great game with high replay value. My vote is BUY. (And if you're wondering, you can play as Sparx the Dragonfly now!!!)

This game is awesome. Here are some cheat codes to help you along.
Pause games and enter the following codes to get the desired effect.
1. 2D spyro
left, right, left, right, L1, R1, L1, R1,square. Enter code again to change back
2. big head
up, R1, up, R1, up, R1, circle(4x). Enter code again to change back.

I think that this game has really outdone itself.I mean,really,amazing.If you wanted game with a kid-friendly charicter with the best of each genre thrown in,this would be it.
Spyro actually topped CRASH!!!!!!! Gamers and reviewers alike swore that would never happen.Don't jump to conclusions.

This is by far the best of the Spyro series.You really get hours of fun and your money's worth.It is challenging and loads of fun at the same time.I highly recommend this one.

As an adult I find this game extremely boring. Basically you are a little dragon and hop around to recover dragon eggs stolen by some evil beings. Your primary weapons are your body and the fire coming out of your mouth. The graphics is very simple (ok, maybe because I have a PS2 I keep forgetting this game was designed for PSX), and the controls (like most Sony games) are more complicated than necessary. The gameplay is repetitive and very tedious. And the characters, when they talk to you, talk in text, not voice. Very lame.

If you want to play this game, rent it, don't waste your money buying it. It's pretty easy to finish all the levels in a day or two.

Gee, this seems familiar...o yeah, it's the same as Spyro 1 and 2! what the hells the point of a sequel, it's the same thing!
