There is a BUG in this game.

This game WOULD have gotten a rating of four or five stars, if it weren't for a nasty little bug that keeps you from finishing this game. You can see ... for all of the details on it. But in short, if you enter a 'Speedway' round and don't finish it and get your egg, you never will. The game has been fixed and a newer version is available, but if you have the broken version the only way to finish the game is to send your memory card to Sony. Since Sony won't replace the defective version of the game, I rate this one ONE star and recommend Spyro fans avoid it.

As an adult I find this game extremely boring. Basically you are a little dragon and hop around to recover dragon eggs stolen by some evil beings. Your primary weapons are your body and the fire coming out of your mouth. The graphics is very simple (ok, maybe because I have a PS2 I keep forgetting this game was designed for PSX), and the controls (like most Sony games) are more complicated than necessary. The gameplay is repetitive and very tedious. And the characters, when they talk to you, talk in text, not voice. Very lame.

If you want to play this game, rent it, don't waste your money buying it. It's pretty easy to finish all the levels in a day or two.

Gee, this seems familiar...o yeah, it's the same as Spyro 1 and 2! what the hells the point of a sequel, it's the same thing!

how can graphics get WORSE! the graphics look worse then in the previous games! also, it makes you fight agenst teddy bear-like monsters! the game is almost the same as the last! it seems like a waste of money to me

this one goes down in history...

I was pretty disappointed in this game.

The game play feels like Spyro1, which had a pretty poor menu design. The grpahics looks a bit improved but it would have been a lot better if it played like Spyro2. Guidebook is hard to navigate and other options are not very organized.

The new playable characters are hard to use and the other stuff like skateboarding isn't very well designed. If you want to try Spyro, then get Spyro2: Ripto's Rage.

This is a great game, not to hard not to easy. It's fun has great plot and games but I have a problem with this game.

Well me and my freind played this game nonstop..we loved it. We got pretty far in fact so far that we only needed about five more eggs (you have to collect 150 eggs in the game) . We saved it on his memory card and later I saved it on mine too. Then later (I don't know how long ago) ago I put in the game to play it and my memory was gone! I then went to the browser to look at the data on the memory card and it wasn't there. It said it wasn't formatted so I formatted it and started a new game. The next day I came back to play again and guess what? It wasn't there. Not to metion the day before my controller wouldn't let me push start when i tried to exit the game. Then a glitch happened so I had to turn my PS2 off, (by the way you have to use a PS1 memory card for this) and so I turned it back on loaded it all up and yes the game was there worked fine. I plug it in the next day, turn it on and then my memory isn't there. I loved this game yes but I'm so mad that this messed up. Maybe it's just me, or maybe it's not the game maybe it's the memory card.

Bah another spyro game. Zzzzzzzzzz..... Oh excuse me I almost dozed off at the thought of another spyro game for the PS. The game and story again is very good but with the new PS2 coming out i think the developers should have chose a different console. The game is more of a cartoonish game like Mario 64 but the playstation can no more deliver the smooth vibrant colors of a cartoon. The PS2 or Nintendo 64 would have been a better choice for this game preferably N64 because of its excellent adventure platformers.

Not a total blow to the spyro series but the game designers just spitout more games for more money when they could have taken the time to develop it better.

Well this game is ok ,but when you beat it gets kind of boring.Its not the best game I have played for my playstation.I have a few reasons why
For one thing it gets so boring after I beat it .After you have beat it and gotten all the eggs you just run around killing all the bad guys
For another the cameara angle stinks.When you are in the boss levels it turns at the wrong time getting me killed.Otherwise this game ok I guess but it still getts a three star rating.

This game is way too easy.It took me 1 week to finsh it.I have all 3 spyro games. This one (sorry to say)is boring all my friends say it's a hunk of junk and too easy they didn't ever finsh it because IT IS BORING.Sorry for spyro fans just telling the truth.
